86 Bullies End

Liz, who was standing beside Will when he made this statement which silenced the whole room, had to try hard to keep her eyebrows from rising up on seeing the awesome display of power which she had only heard about but never seen first hand.

Her blood had boiled when she heard the way these two arrogant parents had threatened her before, but now, seeing the tables turned, joy flooded through her body which made her mirror the principal's expression.

Meanwhile, both the man and woman's faces had gone white, and they only stared with wide-open eyes, as if they wished that they could wake up from what they hoped was a dream.

As if right on queue, their phones rang together, making them scramble and pick them up before walking to opposite ends of the rooms.

After just a few seconds, they came back to their original positions with their attitudes completely changed.

They clearly knew just how important power was in this world, just from the way that they led their lives while depending on the feeling that came from subduing others using their power for happiness and satisfaction.

Both of them were clear about the fact that the CEO of Happle, Inc. was already being merciful from the way he hadn't directly implemented destroyed their lives. Instead, he had given them a chance, and they were going to use it.

The woman walked to Liz, and the man walked to the principal.

Both of them started to apologize profusely, while both Liz and the Principal watched on bemusedly while wondering whether these were the same two people who had been strutting around just a few moments ago.

After they were done, they switched places before repeating their apologies and bidding goodbye.

Their kids, meanwhile, who were also still in the room, could only watch with confusion because they couldn't understand why their parents were acting in this way.

They were used to seeing their parents being the ones feared and respected no matter where they went, so this was so out of place that their brains were blocked.

However, after the two parents were done with their apology speeches, they walked to the kids and raised them up by their ears.

"OW!"

"MUM!"

"SHUT UP!"

Silenced by the shout, tears sprung up in their eyes while they started to bawl.

Yet, they didn't even have the chance to cry properly before they were dragged out of the room.

The CEO, who was still standing at the door, watched on while they kept apologizing and dragging away the kids while ensuring him that they would definitely be 'educating' them at home in the foreseeable future.

This image, of two parents walking while facing backward and shouting over each other that they were 'very sorry', was actually quite funny, and Liz's lips kept twitching while she tried to hold her laugh in.

"Wonderful! Elizabeth, I always wanted to see those two put in their place. I'm sorry that I had to scold Derek before. I knew he wasn't at fault, but I am answerable to the board. How is he? Have you seen him in the infirmary?"

Hearing the Principal's concerned tone, Liz finally couldn't control it anymore and burst out laughing.

Will, on the other hand, had his trademark small smile on his face.

While the principal was trying to figure out why this woman was laughing when she was supposed to be worried about her little brother, he saw the nurse coming to the room from the corner of his eye.

He had ordered her to come as soon as she had an update on the little kid's condition, so he hurriedly gestured at her to enter.

However, when he heard what she had to say, he also couldn't help but stare blankly for a while before similarly bursting out in laughter.

"Sir, the kid was acting! He's completely fine! He should be punished for this, he fooled us all!"

…..

A few minutes later, inside the limousine.

Liz still had a wide smile on her face, while Will was looking out of the window.

Her brother was the most important person in her life, and seeing his problems solved filled her with so much happiness that she forgot that she was supposed to be 'professional'.

"Thank you. I really appreciate what you did. You should definitely come home if you can, Derek would love to meet you again…"

She had talked without thinking, and had only extended the invitation out of courtesy.

However, the CEO's reply made her freeze.

"I'll come tonight then."
