Seeing the nod, Will smiled completely for the first time in a very long time.
The smile reached his eyes, and as he gazed at Liz's cute expression as she stared at her feet as if she was a schoolgirl that had done some mistake, he felt more joy and euphoria inside him than what had been there for years.
All this time, he had been empty, and now, it felt as if Liz was filling up all those dark places inside him to give him a chance to become whole again.
The silence once again bothered Liz, and made her wonder whether she should have said more like him, instead of just nodding.
Really, she couldn't force away this shyness, even though she was trying. This was the first time she had done something like this in her life, and just remembering Will's skin, the way he had held her and kissed her, and that bulge that had been the rude awakening, she felt hot all over, as if the residual urges of that appetite were still there.
However, when she tilted her head up and saw Will's face, they vanished.
All this time, he had only ever been smiling slightly.
The corners of his lips would always stop at the halfway point before stretching to become a full-fledged smile, and his eyes remained slightly cold, even though over time, Liz had realized that they seemed to have been thawing slowly.
Still, all of those memories of him couldn't compare at all to what she was seeing now.
His face was filled with such pure joy and contentedness that Liz felt dazed just looking at it.
All of that emotion was for her!
This knowledge was sweeping her off her feet, making her feel like jumping and skipping with laughter right then and there.
However, she couldn't do so, as she had become stunned, once again, at just how amazing this man looked.
Just like that moment when she had entered his office and seen him for the first time, her mind was going blank.
This was on a different level, as Liz could now also see just how much he liked her, and how much she meant to him.
To seal this moment in her mind, Liz once again blinked hard, taking a mental picture that would forever remain locked safely within her heart.
Liz wished that this beautiful moment would stretch on forever, but her stomach betrayed her.
A burp forced its way up her throat suddenly, and even though she realized that at the last second, it still erupted from her mouth, which made the smile freeze on Will's face.
Thankfully, it changed into a short laugh, which resulted in Liz looking down for the 3rd time, this time with embarrassment.
'HAHAHA! PRICELESS! WELL DONE, LIZ! PLEASE EAT A LOT NEXT TIME TOO BEFORE MOMENTS LIKE THESE!'
As her inner voice reveled in her misfortune, Liz made to turn around and walk to the side again, but she was stopped when Will grasped her by her hand.
As she suddenly felt herself being pulled back, Liz used her arms to cushion the impact on his chest.
Of course, there wasn't too much, and the next second, she found a kiss being planted on her lips again, before hearing a whisper.
"I thought we agreed that there would be no more awkwardness?"
Whoa, whoa! Who was this guy!
Will seemed to be almost a different person, as she couldn't imagine him doing something like this just a day ago.
No. This was moving a little too fast for her. She needed time to adjust!
As if understanding this, Will just chuckled to himself before using his phone to call the envoy again.
"Do you want any more dessert?", he asked, making Liz wonder whether his sentence had any other meaning.
As she shook her head, he nodded, and both of them waited for the cars to arrive.
After they did, they got in together and went to the next stop: a small bird sanctuary that had apparently been constructed for Keren during her phase when she had loved birds.
As she spent minute after minute with Will, Liz slowly began to realize what had changed.
Before, she had imagined him to be tied up by multiple shackles, and had seen one of them removed.
Now, it was as if he had thrown off most of them, allowing him to be…himself.
This…was the true him?
And this was all…because of her?
This slow realization made Liz feel a little pressure, as it clearly meant that what he said would definitely happen-if there was even one secret or lie between them, he might really become too broken to fix.
So, once again, just like during the moment when he had asked her, Liz resolved to make sure that there would be none of those.
With this decision, she also returned to her normal self, but that appetite had thankfully disappeared, as if it had had its fill for today.
After the bird sanctuary, the two once again toured the island, with Will pointing out many spots where they had used to play as kids.
By the time they got back to the mansion, Liz was tired, but to her surprise, Will asked her to freshen up and meet him in the basement.
Liz wondered why he had asked that, but she obliged, and when she reached the basement after changing into a casual shirt and pajamas, she was shocked to see that there was a large theater there, along with pairs of recliner seats.
The seats were in such a way that there was no partition, which made them almost look like beds.
Of course, the back was raised, and the front was lowered.
On the one in the center, Will was sitting while browsing through movies on the large projection screen, and when he heard her come, he motioned for her to come sit.
Liz nodded and reached the seat before getting on, and as she leaned back and turned to look at Will, she saw him pat his chest and say, "Don't you want the best pillow in the house?"
