207 Forming The Plan

Six hours later, Liz's head was buzzing with various facts that kept going round and round without going anywhere else, bothering her to no end and denying her the ability to concentrate.

For example, one of the six had repeatedly searched about digestion problems repeatedly three months ago, which meant that he had had a stomach ache then.

Another had started to show a strong interest in the hit TV show Game of Thrones, repeatedly googling spoilers but not going to the sites, as if he was tempted to read them but didn't want to at the last moment.

It was surprising exactly how much one could understand about a person just by going through their search history and activity online.

These days, almost everyone was an open book if they depended on technology too much.

All one needed to be capable of, was finding that book.

And thankfully, through a chance encounter in her teenage years, Liz had a route to accomplish just that.

Standing up in her room and stretching, Liz went down to get some coffee as she didn't want to order room service again and wait.

Will was, of course, completely occupied in his meetings, and although Luke had called her once or twice in order to find out what she was up to, she just hung up without saying much as she had been busy going through all the data that Tyler had sent.

All in all, she had concluded one thing: all of the six people had certain traits which had resulted in them being selected for this operation by that lady.

All of them had a superiority complex which made them feel that they were greater than women, and they also hated it if it was shown that this was not the case.

Of course, Liz had already reached this conclusion by their reactions when she had first met them.

However, the process of finding out how these people had become targets, had actually given her a clue about that culprit's real identity.

It was obvious that they had used some method which was quite similar to what she had just done, so it meant that they were definitely not against using illegal means to get what they wanted.

Slowly, Liz was building a profile of the one she was targeting, which was exactly what she wanted.

Going through this data was hard work, but like Will had said, the deadline pushed her, making her apply her full focus to the task.

Another eight hours later, just as the sun had already set to let darkness take its hold over the world, Liz finally found something to work with.

One among them had been a compulsive drinker two years ago, and this habit of his almost cost him his job.

Details about this had been scrubbed from his personal records, which meant that he must have

spent a lot of money to make sure that others wouldn't know of this.

However, his Google searches were enough to identify it.

One day was already over, and there was only one day more, so Liz decided that this was not the time to be hesitant.

Without any more doubts, she immediately got up and went to take a bath, as she had literally been sitting in the same spot for the whole day without even bothering about the temperature of the room.

After the bath, she rummaged through the closet and finally chose a sparkly red cocktail dress that she had brought along in order to surprise Will.

However, she chuckled as she realized what she was going to use it for.

Putting it on and checking her image in the mirror, Liz proceeded to use generous makeup, which was something she usually did not like.

However, there was a purpose behind that now.

Finally, she looked exactly like one of those attractive women whom anyone would want to buy a drink for.

That was exactly what she wanted.

She had already checked the itinerary of that man, and luckily, it seemed that he was a foodie, which meant that he had chosen a few restaurants to eat outside during his stay here.

The contact point for finding out where he was was a reception, where she quoted that she was from the company and was looking for him, and that his phone was dead.

He had asked for the best restaurants around at the reception and had chosen one and asked directions for it, so now, the receptionist repeated the same instructions which Liz followed to find a rather upscale beachside dining area.

Thankfully, it had a bar. If that weren't the case, she would have had to make a new plan.

Entering the restaurant, she said that she was here to meet someone while scanning everyone who was sitting for her target.

There he was – bald head, tall stature, and a dark complexion.

He wasn't very attractive, neither was he unattractive.

But he was definitely not the type who would attract the kind of character that she was playing.

Liz's main plan depended on him not recognizing her, and she had made sure of this using make-up – it was a wonder just how much a touch of foundation here and a bit of shade there changed a woman's face.

Although there were still similarities between how she had looked before and how she looked now, they were few enough that she would get the benefit of the doubt.

Sauntering over to his table, Liz took a seat, which startled the man.

To establish that she was definitely not the woman whom he had met yesterday, she said, "Hi, I thought you looked American. Do you mind if I sit here? I'm waiting for my boyfriend, Alphonso. He should be here any moment, but I just have… a thing against sitting alone in a restaurant."

The word 'thing' was punctuated by her looking to the side and blowing out a breath of hot air, while shrugging her shoulders animatedly.

Yes, if anyone saw her now, they would definitely not be able to identify that she was Liz, as she had even changed her own mannerisms.

It seemed that her plan had worked, as the man said, "That's fine. I just thought that you looked like someone I knew. What's your name, Madam?"

This man was single, and he was also quite active in that aspect – which was quite evident from his numerous visits to those kinds of sites that she had seen in the data.

"Denise," she breathed out, setting her eyes on him and beginning to implement the next phase of her plan.
