MCAB – Chapter 169

When Jun Zishu walked out of the restaurant, she saw Yu Fanshu standing by the car with her sunglasses on.

“Let’s go.”

“Okay.”

Yu Fanshu did not bring up any unnecessary matters. Jun Zishu already knew what had happened, so she didn’t bother asking, either.

Afterward, Yu Fanshu returned to the studio and continued filming. Jun Zishu did not leave, choosing to accompany Yu Fanshu at the studio.

Coco felt that she was truly on her way to early retirement. She was so idle that she was molding right now. However, she dared not complain, either. After all, her two artists were already dating each other. She’d be asking trouble for herself if she tried to disturb the two lovebirds.

Not to mention, Yu Fanshu wasn’t lacking in money, nor was she greedy for fame. The company she worked for also belonged to her family, so there was no way the company’s management would force her or Jun Zishu to work.

After letting out a sigh, Coco left the studio and decided to go shopping.

Meanwhile, Yu Fanshu continued acting her scenes in the studio.

After killing Minxi, Chaofeng had become a truly vicious woman who wasn’t above any methods to secure power. On the surface, though, she behaved much more obediently than before, and she had seduced the emperor with her smile and beauty to a point where no other woman could enter his eyes, not even the empress. Then, once the time was ripe, Chaofeng killed her husband, the emperor.

Chaofeng had once become pregnant. However, when she discovered this, she killed the child in her womb without hesitation. She was vicious to both others and herself. She absolutely would not allow herself to give birth to the enemy’s child.

In the end, Chaofeng supported the child she adopted into the new emperor, and she became the empress dowager that controlled the dynasty from behind the scenes. Although the child resembled the emperor in the eyes of outsiders, few people knew that the child was actually a general’s son.

Chaofeng’s goal was to reverse the country by its roots. She wasn’t just aiming to rule over the country that destroyed hers. So, she couldn’t allow any child with imperial blood to succeed the position of the emperor.

Phoenix Dynasty wasn’t a romance film. If one looked at this movie from the protagonist’s perspective, one would see that she was an ambitious woman capable of enduring hardships and humiliation for the sake of achieving her goals. Even though the protagonist had given up on a lot of things during this process, she possessed the shining points required of a proper protagonist. She was intelligent, tough, and sensible. She could also avoid getting trapped by love. She was both a dangerous and fascinating woman.

If one looked at this film from a romance perspective, it would definitely fail. This was because there was hardly any romance described throughout the entire movie. The movie was mainly about power struggles in the imperial palace.

The movie ended with a still image of Chaofeng attending to state affairs in the imperial court, and hundreds of officials kneeled and hailed her.

Jun Zishu sighed ruefully when she saw Yu Fanshu sitting atop the throne in the film set.

Although Chaofeng had achieved her goals, when she went to bed at night, she would discover that apart from cold and vicious authority, she had nothing else around her.

In just one lifetime, she had experienced the fall of her country and family, she had killed her little sister and husband, and she had made a mess of an entire dynasty with her own hands. It felt like she had succeeded yet failed at the same time.

If Jun Zishu watched Chaofeng’s life from an audience’s perspective, she would think Chaofeng’s character was shaped successfully. If she were in Chaofeng’s shoes, she would do the same, too. Whether it was worth it in the end simply depended on each person’s view on life.

The end of Yu Fanshu’s role also meant the film’s end. Filming the whole movie had taken around four months. On the day the movie finished filming, the director invited everyone in the studio out for a dinner celebration.

Everyone had more or less restrained themselves at the start of the meal. However, after a few glasses of alcohol, those restraints loosened, and everyone started talking carefreely to each other.

The director smiled happily throughout the entire meal. After all, with Yu Fanshu serving as the movie’s signboard, he could already imagine the non-stop flow of money the movie would make him.

Everyone knew that Yu Fanshu had been ill previously, so almost nobody dared to go up and toast with her. As a result, the area she sat remained relatively calm.

Jun Zishu, on the other hand, drank a lot, and her face was tinged with a layer of red.

“Don’t drink too much. Be careful of getting drunk,” Yu Fanshu said as she looked at her girlfriend sitting beside her.

Today, Jun Zishu had her hair draped behind her back, her appearance giving off a little more mature charm. Currently, her face was flushed, her eyes seemed to be shrouded in a thin layer of mist, and her lips were dyed a sweet red by the wine she drank.

When Jun Zishu heard Yu Fanshu’s reminder and looked up, Yu Fanshu felt her heart skipping a beat.

Jun Zishu’s glance inadvertently revealed a hint of amorous feelings, and Yu Fanshu couldn’t help but be tempted to explore those feelings. Right now, Yu Fanshu was doing her best to resist the urge to drag Jun Zishu out of the restaurant and return home.

“I’m not drunk,” Jun Zishu said. She was only feeling a little light-headed, and she was still a ways off from becoming intoxicated.

Afterward, Jun Zishu leaned against Yu Fanshu and closed her eyes, appearing somewhat tired.

When Yu Fanshu smelled the fragrance emanating from Jun Zishu’s body and felt Jun Zishu’s hair brushing against her neck, her body shuddered slightly in euphoria.

“Have some food to pad your stomach. Don’t just drink without eating,” Yu Fanshu said.

“Mhm,” Jun Zishu softly responded. Then, she picked up her chopsticks and took two bites of food to eat, looking very well behaved and tame.

Yu Fanshu’s heart melted from seeing Jun Zishu’s behavior. Deciding not to hold back her desires any longer, she reached out for Jun Zishu’s hand under the table and interlocked fingers with her.

Jun Zishu went along with Yu Fanshu’s movements and obediently held hands with Yu Fanshu. Then, she looked down for a moment, seemingly thinking about something.

“What’s wrong?” Yu Fanshu asked when she noticed Jun Zishu’s pondering look.

Jun Zishu shook her head. Then, after staring at Yu Fanshu for a moment, she leaned in and whispered something into her girlfriend’s ear.

Suddenly, the usually calm and collected Empress Yu blushed. Even though she hadn’t consumed any alcohol, her face had become as red as Jun Zishu’s face.

Jun Zishu blinked innocently, feeling slightly surprised to see such a huge reaction from Yu Fanshu. After all, all she had said was: “Do you want to kiss me.”

Honestly, Jun Zishu had been wondering about it for a long time already. It had been close to half a year since they started dating, and the only intimate actions they have done thus far were holding hands, hugging, and kissing each other on the face. Never had they kissed each other on the lips before. If Yu Fanshu liked her, why hadn’t she ever tried to kiss her on the lips?

Of course, Jun Zishu didn’t doubt Yu Fanshu’s feelings for her. Throughout their interactions, she could feel the intense emotions overflowing from Yu Fanshu’s eyes.

“Lingling…”

Yu Fanshu suppressed her voice and called out to Jun Zishu. How could this person play foul to such an extent? If it weren’t for the inappropriate time and place, she would’ve pulled Jun Zishu into her arms and kissed the little vixen already.

Did Yu Fanshu not want to kiss Jun Zishu? How could that be? She wanted to kiss her to death. However, Yu Fanshu was also afraid that Jun Zishu’s affection for her hadn’t reached that level yet. She was worried that Jun Zishu might find her intimacy abrupt and offensive.

The more a person liked someone, the more careful they would behave around their beloved.

Every time they cuddled in bed, Yu Fanshu would have the urge to kiss Jun Zishu, be it a tender kiss or a passionate one. However, she dared not do so. Whenever she was close to enacting her thoughts, she would shrink back out of worry.

After enjoying a few more glasses of wine with the crew and other cast members, Jun Zishu had become slightly drunk.

Seeing this, Yu Fanshu hurriedly helped Jun Zishu up from her seat, bid goodbye to the director, and left the restaurant with Jun Zishu.

The director simply waved them goodbye and returned to his drink.

Meanwhile, Chenzi quickly grabbed Jun Zishu’s coat and followed Yu Fanshu.

“Do you need me to help you hold Big Sis Jun, Miss Yu?” Chenzi asked.

“No need.”

Yu Fanshu wasn’t so weak as to lack the strength to support Jun Zishu. Not to mention, Jun Zishu wasn’t so drunk as to lack the mental capacity to walk. Instead, she quietly and obediently let herself get pulled along by Yu Fanshu. However, her occasional stumbles still betrayed that she wasn’t fully sober.

When Chenzi saw the Film Empress helping her Big Sis Jun into their hotel room and locking the door, she fell into thought as she stood outside the room. She had a feeling things were about to develop the way she thought they would, and she couldn’t help but grow a little excited.

After letting out a light cough, Chenzi collected herself and joyfully returned to her room. She also hoped that the two lovebirds would have a wonderful night.

Yu Fanshu felt that tonight was a good night. When she kissed Jun Zishu on the lips, Jun Zishu did not reject her intimacy at all.

Seeing this, Yu Fanshu slowly pried open Jun Zishu’s lips and carefully observed Jun Zishu’s reactions.

Then, the instant the tip of their tongues touched, Yu Fanshu felt an unprecedented satisfaction. At the same time, she also realized that she loved the person before her very, very much.

Even though Yu Fanshu hadn’t had any alcohol just now, when she enveloped Jun Zishu’s tongue with her own, she felt wonderfully intoxicated. She also felt that this person was truly sweet from top to bottom.

Jun Zishu was naturally aware of what she was doing, and she let loose her senses to indulge in the experience.

Yu Fanshu’s kiss was gentle, and her lips possessed a tenderness exclusive to females.

“Do you know what we are doing, Lingling?”

Yu Fanshu didn’t want Jun Zishu to feel regret when she woke up. Supporting Jun Zishu’s waist with one hand and propping up Jun Zishu’s chin with her other hand, Yu Fanshu looked into Jun Zishu’s eyes as their faces remained only millimeters apart from each other.

“I’m not drunk yet, Fanshu.”

Jun Zishu smiled. If falling in love with someone meant wanting to be close to this someone, cling to this someone, and reveal her softest side to this someone, then she felt that she might have grasped what it meant to love already.

Yu Fanshu started raining sparse kisses on Jun Zishu, starting from the forehead and gingerly moving down to the lips. Meanwhile, Jun Zishu raised her hands to untie the restraints on Yu Fanshu’s body, allowing their softness to touch each other.

The moment she was touched, Jun Zishu rested her chin on Yu Fanshu’s shoulder and panted softly, her fingers sensually sliding down Yu Fanshu’s back.

It was the 16th today, and the full moon outside was bright and beautiful as it hung high in the dark sky.

Yu Fanshu did not turn on the lights when she entered, so the silvery moonlight entered through the windows unhindered and reflected off of their natural bodies.

Outside the sweet valley of temptation was a stretch of black herbs. A trickle of water dampened the vegetation on both banks, followed by a light rain that turned the road outside the valley into a muddy mess.

Jun Zishu’s eyes curled into half-smiles, a glint appearing in them as she reached her climax with Yu Fanshu. Then, the crimson brand denoting sovereignty fell on her body, her master placing the brand in a discreet location.

When those red berries come in springtime, flushing on your southland branches, take home an armful, for my sake, as a symbol of our love.[1]

A light taste naturally wasn’t enough. So, following the poem’s intent, Yu Fanshu decided to take as much love as she could.

Jun Zishu’s long hair swayed in the moonlight along with her movements, the fragrance of love gradually permeating the air.
