"I wish I could take your praise," I said with a smile and got up. I failed on breaking the steles, and now I have to face it head-on.
"You are too humble; you had come a few hours earlier, you would have been able to stop me, and it would cost me dearly," It said. There is no menace that could be heard from its voice, and it even feels quite cultured.
Our conversation felt like two friends talking and not mortal enemies who would try their hardest to kill each other.
"What was that exactly you have strengthened your core with?" I asked; a surprise flashed in its eyes as it heard my question before it had disappeared.
"It is the essence of beast," It replied simply, and this time it was my turn to surprise. The answer is not simple as it said, but if it is telling the truth, then this Werewolf is one lucky bastard to get something like that to strengthen its core.
"You are very lucky to get something like it," I said to which a bright smile appeared on its face.
"Yes, I am, and now turned even luckier now that you have come," It said while directly looking at my chest, which made me feel a little uncomfortable for some reason.
"My grand art is telling me your core is something that would benefit me a lot, a lot more than what beast essence has provided me, which is quite shocking seeing I have not felt that even from the Grandmasters," It said, scaring the hell out of me.
I had specifically added several formations in my core that would stop scrying of others, seeing big the core of my secrete is but this Grimm bastard was still able to sense something from it.
The Grand Arts, you really can't underestimate them, I thought as I gripped my sword tightly and prepared myself for a very dangerous battle.
"You think you can defeat me," I asked with a smile, not showing fluctuation of emotions I am having in my heart.
"I know I can. My art is telling me I could, and my art had never been wrong," It said, alarming me even further. A scrying type of art is one of the most dangerous ones; those who possess them are very tricky to deal with.
"Many people thought the same, even that Eagleman had thought that but all of them had gone to the underworld," I said, and it did not seem surprise hearing that, even seemed quite pleased by it.
"You are quite powerful, alright, but still nothing in front of me," It said; its sealed aura exploded.
For a moment, horror dawned on my face as I had throught I was facing a Grandmaster, but I quickly recovered and activated the most optimum move to deal with this Golden Fire Werewolf, forgetting all the strategies I had made to deal with it.
It had launched the attack the moment it had revealed its power. A sword appeared in its hand, a rarity among the Werewolves who usually prefer the long claws.
As the sword appeared, immediately shining golden fire appeared on its blade, and it came at me with a speed that is even greater than of any Master I had ever faced.
It would appear in front of me before I fully activated my move, and that would be the death of me. If I calculated correctly, then the power behind its attack is at least three times greater than the most powerful attack of Eagleman Vidette.
I couldnt bear such a powerful attack; it would be extremely dangerous. Thankfully, I had made some preparation; it would not reach me before I activated my move fully.
Bang Bang Bang
It had just taken a step when it clashed against an invisible energy shield; even with all its power, it was not able to sense it, but it did not matter to it as it had directly charged through it, doing the same with the energy field that came after and another after that.
It blasted through one energy shield after another, incinerating them with the light golden fire that is covering its body lightly.
Earlier, when I knew I would not be able to break the steles, I decided to use the runes and energy contained in them for something else. I did not have much hope for them, but I had not thought they would break so easily under the might of Werewolf.
Still, they have helped me greatly; they have slowed down the Werewolf enough for me to activate my move.
As it broke through the last and final energy shield, it saw the twelve shields revolving around me. Its eyes became serious, and it had brought down its blazing sword on a shield in front of it.
Its blazing golden sword clashed against my shield, lighting it up with the rest of the shield, but other than that, it was not able to do anything.
I had used all the boost and internal energy to not hold back on anything; I had even used a crown of roses. If I had only activated the shield, its attack would have broken through it, its most powerful Master attack I had ever faced.
It stopped after its first attack and looked at my shields with great surprise before a recognization flashed in its eyes, and shock appeared in it for a moment before it had disappeared.
"You were at the Fort Ardon, right? You have fought against the Grandmaster and survived," It said.
My shields are very difficult to hide from that other attack; I could only change their color and nothing else. The weave has to be perfect, and so is the shape of the shield, I could make some changes in size and color, but intelligent people recognize it after they have at it.
"Yes, that was me," I replied; there is no need to hide.
"Hehe, it would be really fun to see the look on that old bastard face when I show your head to him," The Werewolf said with a laugh, and an even more powerful aura exploded from it.
