'No attacks yet,' I said to myself as I looked at the snow-white space out of the window; there is not a single Grimm could be seen standing there.
Three days had been passed since I had taken the command over this fort, and I had not been attacked. I have already decided that if I did not get attacked by two, I would launch the attack.
I have not come to the front to fight passively.
It does not suit me to employ such a method of fighting if I want to advance rapidly. I have a nearly sure method to kill my enemy as long the difference of power between us is not big, and I had fought against it long enough.
The Masters were already informed about my plan a few minutes ago, and they are making preparation.
In these three days, I have accomplished a lot of things; aside from gaining huge advancement through my art and working on my Inheritance, I have been quite lucky as my research on the few things bore great results.
There is also good news from Ida; after recent advancement in the Pyramid, her bloodline had not stopped progressing, I could see it strengthening her every moment, and it won't be long before she received another advancement.
That is a condition I have placed on her before I give her permission to break into the Master's class.
She has more than enough strength for it; it is so much that she hides her strength when she fights. Still, I had been asking her to stop, as only through these pressured advancements she will have any chance to create a Bloodline core.
Chew Chew
Two hours passed by and three more before I launched the attack when suddenly Ashlyn showed me something which put a smile on my face.
"Let's get moving!"
I said to the Masters, greatly surprising them as I got up flew out of the window while the Masters followed behind me. They did not question my order as I had already told them we would attack the Grimms and had the army ready.
A minute later, the army of ten thousand gathered with Ida flying in front of them.
The huge gate of the fortress opened, and she flew out with the army behind her. At the same time, I saw the gate of the 4th Grimm Fortress opening up and a huge Grimm army flying out of it.
I don't know who the real target of the Grimm army is; it may be us or the other two forts, but I am engaging this bastard, no matter who the target is.
My army moved toward it at very fast speed; this time, there was no show-worthy charge; instead, we were moving like a precise strike missile would only stop when we clashed against the enemy.
The battle spirit artifacts lighted up across the chests of the Emperors, and spirit lightning began to cover them.
To my surprise, it took the battle spirit energy mere three seconds to reach the level of Tyrant, and by the time a minute was over, it had reached the power of peak Elite which is quite shocking, seeing a few days ago, their battle spirit energy barely able to reach the elite class.
Such progress could be said to be shocking, as it is very hard to advance it.
Tens of battles needed to win constantly, a great bond needed to be forged between men and women, and most importantly, they needed to have immense trust and respect for their commander.
I was in my shock over this when a slight frown appeared on my face before my expressions eased up.
The commanders of forts have changed; the two battles had been fought yesterday, and a day before that, between two human forts, had completely different commanders; they have replaced them someone different.
I couldn't help but think this might be due to me; it is quite evident through their fighting style.
Soon, there was only a distance of twenty miles between the two armies, and the Grimm army was also moving toward us at high speed, ready to clash with the band.
Hun!
When there was only ten miles distance between us, a small change had occurred in the Grimm army. The Masters that were hidden came, all twenty-five of them with a Bearman leading the charge.
"Masters forward!"
I ordered and all thirteen Masters I brought appeared in front of the army, and Edwin took a leading position while Ida joined the leaders behind her smoothly.
It is a little rare to bring the Masters out directly but not that rare, and we have planned and practiced for such a scenario, so everything went smooth without any hiccup.
Charge!
Soon there were only five miles of distance between the two armies, and Edvin shouted charge, and the speed of the army instantly doubled.
CHARGE!
The Bearman leading the Grimm army also shouted and doubled its speed, and the watery green battle energy covering the Grimm army of thirty thousand brightened further, nearly as bright and powerful as the lightning battle spirit energy around my army.
This is the Poison Water legion of the Grimm Army, and its power is quite shocking. Its battle aura is the peak of Elite as well, but the data said it is high Elite.
Its sudden increase in power is a little surprising, but not much as the opposite army is known to replicate the battle spirit energy of the opposing army if the difference is not huge.
Though this spirit is not stable, and if my army gains the upper hand on it, then the spirit will plummet further.
While the army is moving, I am focused completely on the enemy Grandmaster, who is hiding too well that even with all my abilities, I could only see a blurry outline of it, but thanks to Ashlyn, its figure became quite clear to me, and I was even able to get a clear look at its power as well.
This would be the strongest enemy I would face in the battle, and I did not have the confidence to kill it, even with the strings and other methods.
