Damn! She had no idea why a man she had just met had such an effect on her. Even that douche bag of a fiancé whom she had nearly married couldn't make her feel this way.
"Well, I guess you don't work at the hotel then..." she said.
"No, I don't, are you here alone?" he asked her.
"Well I am, do you want to sit? It's no fun drinking alone, Right?" she took a sip of her drink staring at him. He relaxed when he heard her answer, he hadn't even realized that he was tense, after all, he had no idea what he would do if she's with someone. "Well, why not?"
There's no way that he would say no to this invitation, after all, she was his prey tonight and there's no way that he's letting her go.
"Do you talk to strangers so informally?" he asked her. He really hates the fact that his woman would talk to a stranger casually. 'Did he just say his woman? Well, she's his tonight,' he thought. "Well, sometimes I guess," she shrugged as she said.
Mu change frowned when he heard her.
"Won't you order?" Ru Shi asked him.
When he heard her, he realized that he hasn't ordered yet, so he called the waiter and ordered a drink.
"So you said that you're escaping, what are you escaping from?" the moment he asked this question he saw her face paled. That's when he realized that he has crossed the line.
An awkward silence fell between them.
"Well, you don't have to answer if you don't want to." Mu Chang said to her.
"Sir, your drink," the waiter said.
"Thank you." For once Mu Chang was really grateful to a waiter because he needed a drink right now.
"Well, my deadbeat of a fiancé cheated on me three days before our wedding." She sounded when he thought that she wouldn't answer him.
"What?" Mu Chang was surprised, he had imagined a different scenario that would have made her escape but never a betrayal. I mean who wants to cheat on such a beautiful girl. Even though he was ruthless in the business world, he has never cheated his way to the top much less cheated in a relationship. He remembers that when he was with her he never cheated on her, even though a lot of girls wanted to seduce him because of his money.
"Sorry," he heard the words leave his mouth and it sounded weird. Providing words of comfort wasn't his thing.
"Well, at least I found out before the wedding or that would've been a disaster, so why waste a honeymoon? So I came on my honeymoon as a vacation alone." She then sipped her drink. Mu Chang could see a trace of sadness in her eyes.
He had to admire her courage, after all, there are not many women who would come to a foreign country alone.
"So why are you here?" she asked him.
'How much should he tell her?'
"Well, I want to take a break from work," he said faintly.
"Wow, can you just take a break? Won't you get fired?"
"No," he said briefly.
It seems that he's really a man of very few words.
"Well, good for you," she said while staring at him.
Mu Chang was really bad at communication so he had no idea about what to say next.
Ru Shi began to feel self-conscious as she sat there, not even blinking. His gaze was so intense. Mu Chang reached for her glass and set both of them on the table before leaning forward, toward her.
Run Shi leaned closer to him. Their faces were now inches from each other with their noses almost touching. He stared at her seeming to memorize her features before he crossed the remaining distance, which felt like a vast divide to her and kissed her lightly on the lips. He had taken so long that when their lips finally touched, Run Shi was startled and pulled away, looking at him with wide eyes.
Her breath caught in her throat. "What are you doing?" she gasped, but she didn't move away. She was caught in the dark pools of his stare, paralyzed by some electric force. His thumb slid to her lower lip, and he gently brushed it across the skin. Oh, how she felt it, everywhere, the one whispered touch made her whole body weak. "What do you think?" his lips curl in an amused grin. She flushed, feeling like an innocent school-girl. "I... I don't know you."
She stammered, wishing straight away she could take the words back. She sounds so naive, but it's true.
She has never felt a d.e.s.i.r.e like this; such a basic hunger, tight between her shaking t.h.i.g.hs.
She shouldn't be here. She shouldn't let him touch her like this. Even though she wanted to get laid and lose her v.i.r.g.i.n.i.t.y. She has never been close to a man like this, not even her fiancé had touched her like this, after all, she wanted to be a v.i.r.g.i.n bride. "When was the last time you did something crazy?" Mu Chang asks.
His eyes still fixed on her. His fingers trace lower, down the s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e skin of her neck, and she shudders to feel them slide hot against her skin. "I don't do crazy," she whispered back, struck with a sudden pang. "So try it," he said, a note of challenge in his voice. His fingertips teased lower, across her collarbone, along the high edge of her neckline. "I promise I won't tell." She stared at him, torn, wishing with every fiber of her being she could be the girl he thinks she is.
Wild and bold and brave but she had to look away. "You don't know me," she says quietly, full of regret. "This isn't... I'm not that kind of girl." His hand dropped from her skin, and she felt like crying out in protest but it was too late. She could see from his face, he was disappointed in her. Bitter regret crashed through her. She had the chance to be reckless, and she chose to play it safe. No wonder he cheated on her.
"I'm sorry." She said while trying to get up before she could feel like any more of a fool. "Wait!" she heard his voice behind her, a harsh order.
She gasps against his mouth in surprise, but he didn't hold back. He kissed her harder, deeper.
She surrendered to his searching lips and wicked tongue. Her legs gave away, she swayed against him, reeling.
Glitter rushed through her system, intoxicating and dark, and for a moment she forgot that she was not this girl – that she didn't do this kind of thing. Maybe her friend was right the right way to get over a relationship was a rebound. All she could think was... 'More'. She slid her tongue into his mouth to taste him, hesitant. Mu Chang growled against her, a deep sound that sent a surge of heated awareness shivering to her core. He scoops her into his arms and slammed her back.
Into the couch, every inch of his body pressed up against hers. God, he was all hard muscle and she couldn't get enough. It's like she was drunk, giddy, her mind spinning so that all she can feel was the rush, pulling her under, deeper into the heat of this embrace and the ravenous demands of his miraculous mouth.
He reached up, tugging her hair free from its simple braid and knotting it in his hand, and the dominance of the gesture made her arch up against him, desperate for more. He broke the kiss, tearing his lips from hers with a ragged breath but before she could whimper.
He grinds into her, panting.
She could feel him, the thick ridge of muscle, pressing against her hot, aching core, and suddenly, all she wants in the world was right here between her t.h.i.g.hs. She m.o.a.n.e.d, arching up against him, the pressure already sending her climbing, the heat rushing everywhere, consuming her, out of control--.
"Kitten, you know we can't continue here or else I will lose control and I don't want to take you while you're drunk." That's when she realized what has just happened, she nearly had s.e.x in a club with a guy she had just met today. Thankfully, the place they sat was dark and people didn't seem to notice what just happened.
She flinches back, away from his touch -- away from those sinful lips and dangerous hands that made her just lose her mind out here. "I can't believe I just did that," she mutters. Temporary insanity, that's the only explanation, brought on by heartache and loneliness and the tempting glint in those drop-dead s.e.xy brown eyes. She doesn't risk looking at him again, she just bolts out of the club's door, humiliation replacing the d.e.s.i.r.e that was burning, hot in her veins. "Wait!" she hears Mu Chang call after her. "You can't just leave!" but she did, hopefully, she wasn't that drunk and the club was in the hotel. So she took the elevator going straight to her room. She had to admit she really liked it and she had no regrets.
