Chapter 110 - Fire

Ru Shi blushed in anger when she remembered what happened this morning.

That Li Mu Chang! She will definitely get back at him. How can he leave her like that!

Ring...ring sound of a phone interrupted her thoughts. Looking at the caller ID she saw it was Shen Ruyi.

"Ru Shi are you okay? Shen Ruyi asked worriedly the moment Ru Shi answered the phone.

"Yes, I'm fine. You? She asked as she looked at the scenery. "Are you sure you're fine? Did you fight with a cousin?"

Ru Shi blushed when she heard her. If she had fought with Mu Chang she would not be this angry.

That jerk decided to punish her by leaving her hanging with arousal. She took a deep breath as she answered Shen Ruyi. "No, we didn't fight." Shen Ruyi breathed a sigh of relief when she heard her.

She really did not know what she would have done if Ru Shi and Li Mu Chang fought because of what happened last night. "I'm really sorry about last night. I shouldn't have lied to a cousin. I should have told him the truth," Shen Ruyi apologized.Ru Shi sighed.

"It's okay. Trust me, nothing bad happened. You just did what you thought was right. So how did you get home last night?" Ru Shi changed the topic since she did not want Shen Ruyi to blame herself anymore.

"I....I…" Ru Shi raised her eyebrows when she heard Shen Ruyi stuttering.

"Xiao Ruyi, what did you do?" Ru Shi asked her. 

"I... I think I kissed Liang Shao. Shen Ruyi said faintly as if she was afraid of Ru Shi's reaction.

"You did what? Wait how, what happened?" Ru Shi knew Liang Shao liked Shen Ruyi since she had caught him many times staring at her. However, she did not want to interfere with this matter. 

"I don't really remember what happened I just remember kissing him. I even told him to dream about the kiss when he sleeps. Argghh... I feel so embarrassed. I don't even know how I will face him when I see him." Shen Ruyi said and sighed. She knew someone like Liang Shao would never like a girl like her.

He probably likes m.a.t.u.r.e women. Worst of all she is the cousin of his best friend. Probably Mu Chang would never allow them to be together. It is best if she stops liking him or else she did not know what else she to do.

"Well, you can always pretend that you don't remember," Ru Shi said as she crossed the road.

She had exchanged her shift at work with one of her colleagues because her art teacher had said she should come early today because he would be busy. Due to the fact that he called her at work, she had to go Impromptu.

Mu Chang's phone could not be reached. She found it weird but thought that maybe he was busy since he had left in a hurry after picking up a phone call.

"Hmm. Maybe I should pretend that I don't remember," Shen Ruyi said."So do you like him? Ru Shi said smirking. Just as Shen Ruyi was about to speak, Ru Shi overheard a conversation between two people passersby.

"I heard that there is a fire?"

"Yes, the fire is very big!"

"How can such a good cafe catch fire?"

When Ru Shi heard them she stopped walking. Here in this area, there is only one café. "Ru Shi, Ru Shi, are you there?" Shen Ruyi asked worriedly when Ru Shi stopped talking. "Aah yes; let me call you back later..."

Ru Shi hung up the call as she walked towards the people discussing the fire.

"Excuse me. Did you just say there is a fire outbreak?" Several people turned their head and pointed towards the place where the fire has occurred.

"The cafe...

Ru Shi looked at the place they pointed to and she paled. In the direction of the cafe, smoke could be seen.

Ru Shi was shocked and quickly ran over there. Some people were talking about the dead and wounded people.

Some were also worried about when the fire would be put out.

But at this time Ru Shi could not hear anything. There were a lot of people around the cafe. Ru Shi did not even get close but she felt the heat from the fire. Ru Shi could not help but take a step back as she watched many firefighters putting out the fire.

Even though they were using several water hoses the fire was not ebbing. Ru Shi ran over and asked some of the people around.

"What about the people inside? Were they saved? The workers, manager and the cook; have you saved them?"

"I don't know. I heard that the fire spread very quickly. In a very short moment, the cafe was engulfed in the fire.
