Chapter 159 - I Won't Leave You

When they came back, Ru Shi was tired. She looked at the cook who was happy and asked, "why are you so happy?" the cook turned her head and smiled.

"Boss's birthday is coming." Ru Shi raised her brows. "Although he doesn't like to celebrate it, I like making the house look lively." The cook added.

Ru Shi looked around. Now that the cook mentioned it seems the house has changed a little.

Mu Chang's birthday, what gift will she give to him? Ru Shi was thinking about what to give to Mu Chang. Suddenly, it started raining. Ru Shi has always hated the rain since it was raining when her parents died. Her face paled as she remembered that day

"Miss, are you okay?" the cook asked worriedly when she saw her paled. Ru Shi woke up from her stupor when she heard the cook calling her. "Yes, don't worry."

"Are you sure you're okay?" Ru shi smiled as she nodded. "That, I have to go. See you later." The cook said as she runs towards her room. She had to close her windows.

Ru Shi walked towards Mu Chang's study. The moment they came back he went there. He said he had to make some business calls. She wasn't the clingy type but she was really afraid of the rain.

Just as she took a step, the lights went off. Ru Shi widened her eyes in fear. Thunder strikes as the rain began to pour heavily. She curled herself into a ball as she sat on the floor. Waiting for Mu Chang to come and find her.

Mu Chang frowned when the power went off. He hopes Ru Shi is okay. He hung up the call and went to the bedroom. "Ru Shi...are you there?" no one answered. With the aid of his phone's flashlight, he searched for her in the room but couldn't find her.

Where is she? Mu Chang began to panic. He searched for her everywhere in the house but he couldn't find her. 'Wait, can she be in the living room?' Mu Chang thought as he ran to the living room.

"Ru...Shi..are you there?" nobody answered him. Mu Chang frowned when his leg hit something. When he placed his flashlight on it, he saw it was Ru Shi. She has curled herself into a ball as she sat in a corner to the floor.

Mu Chang placed her gently on the bed as he kissed her forehead gently. "Wait, here. I'm going to turn the power back on." Just as he turned he felt his shirt being pulled. "Don't....leave me please." Ru Shi said as she pulled his shirt. Mu Chang sighed. "Good. I won't leave."

He said as he laid on the bed beside her. He pulled her into his arms as if to incorporate his body into hers. He then covered them with the quilt. Mu Chang tried as much as possible to make her warm. He felt his shirt being soaked with tears.

He said nothing as he patted her back gently. Gradually the little woman in his arms fell asleep. Who would have thought the day will end like this. He whispered into her ears. "Don't worry. I won't leave you never." Mu Chang said as he kissed her cheeks.

Liang Shao frowned as he looks at the window. Suddenly he heard a tapping on the window then it became a pitter-patter. He watched as people ran for covered outside while others opened umbrella. Puddles began plinking as the rainfall became heavier. He could hear the murmuring of the rain against the window it sounded like the buzzing of angry bees. Then he caught a familiar figure who was standing in the rain. 'Shen Ruyi what is she doing here? This stupid girl she won't even find a place for shelter and she is standing in the rain like that.' Liang Shao parked the car and took an umbrella. He then got down and walked towards her.

Shen Ruyi shivered as she drenched in the rain. She couldn't believe how bad her luck is! The first time she came out without her car or driver she gets drenched in the rain. To make matters worse her phone battery has died. Making it impossible to contact someone for help.

Her dress was now soaked showing off her cleavage but she didn't mind though. Her main concern was to get a taxi and go home but it is like the angel of misfortune was messing with her. Few taxies passed by and the ones that passed by were already full. Now she could only pray for a miracle. Suddenly the rain stopped pouring on her. 'The rain has stopped?' When she looked up, she saw Liang Shao who had placed an umbrella over her.

"What are you doing here, standing in the rain? Don't you know you will get sick?!" Liang Shao scolded her. Shen Ruyi blinked as she stares at the man in front of her. "Liang Shao? What are you doing here?"

He ignored her question. "Let's go." He said as he takes her hand. "Huh, okay."

Liang Shao opened the door for her when they reached the car. He then got to the driver's seat.

He looked at her and saw her dress was soaked showing off her cleavage. He swallowed, diverting his eyes. Liang Shao knew he shouldn't be having improper thoughts about her but damn, it was hard when she was looking like this. He turned on the heater in the car and started the car.
