Lin Nuan entered the elevator, and Tang Zheng said, "Then, Sis-in-law, I won't be sending you…"

Previously, Tang Zheng had made things difficult for Lin Nuan over the business lunch using his influence as a sponsor, so Lin Nuan knew how foulmouthed Tang Zheng could be. How could he not be when he hung around Lu Jinnan?

But since Chu Xun had already said she would go, she couldn't very well simply turn around and leave. She could only brace herself and follow them to the ward. The bag in Chu Xun's hands was about to be crushed by her though.

Although she wasn't on close terms with Tang Zheng, they had, after all, eaten a meal at the same table before. Tang Zheng had also spoken up for her when she was ridiculed by others previously, so Chu Xun thought they were something like friends. She hadn't expected Tang Zheng to disregard her feelings entirely through his speech.

Chu Xun felt embarrassed, but she could still steady herself. She managed to stick behind Fu Huai'an as they went to visit Little Candy, and she didn't turn around to leave mid-way.

However, when Chu Xun looked up to see Fu Huai'an with Tuan Tuan in one hand and Lin Nuan's hand in the other, she felt as if needles were pricking her heart.

Lin Nuan felt weird having someone stare at her from behind, so she gripped Fu Huai'an's large hand with more force. Fu Huai'an returned the gesture, and not only did he grip harder, but he also used his thumb to rub against Lin Nuan's hand.

Although she hadn't been married to Fu Huai'an for long, there was a silent convention between them; she knew Fu Huai'an was deliberately trying to ditch Chu Xun.

Lin Nuan didn't utter a sound as she accompanied Fu Huai'an to visit Little Candy.

Tang Zheng didn't introduce Chu Xun, and You Nainai didn't ask either. Chu Xun just stood there awkwardly…

Lin Nuan saw You Nainai glance at Chu Xun, then at her, as if wanting to ask. But Lin Nuan was no saint and had no intention of introducing Chu Xun to You Nainai. Fu Huai'an and Tang Zheng hadn't spared Chu Xun the embarrassment, so why should she be the nice one and save Chu Xun from the embarrassment?

She wasn't sure whether there was fury in her heart because of work or Lu Qili or what, but Lin Nuan felt that her temper was becoming worse.

Little Candy didn't hide how much she liked Fu Huai'an. Tang Zheng felt heartbroken seeing this, but there was nothing he could do about it.

He watched as Little Candy sat on the bed and pitifully wheedled in front of Fu Huai'an. "Tuan Tuan's Papa, can I stay at your house when I've recovered?"

Fu Huai'an smiled and nodded. "Ok…"

Little Candy's eyes lit up instantly, her little face serious. "Tuan Tuan's Papa is the best papa in the world. If you were my father, that would be great!"

When Tuan Tuan heard this, he subconsciously tightened his hold around Fu Huai'an's neck. Although he didn't say a word, he obviously meant that his papa was his and that he wouldn't give him up to her.

Tang Zheng was speechless.

His daughter was stabbing at his heart directly! She kept calling this biological father of hers "clueless uncle," whereas, with Fu Huai'an, she addressed him as "Tuan Tuan's Papa, Tuan Tuan's Papa." She even wished that Fu Huai'an was her father, clearly warmed up to him.

Who said daughters were most caring towards their fathers? Why did his caring daughter come with thorns… thorns that pierced right at his heart!

You Nainai almost couldn't bear to look at Tang Zheng's sad eyes. On the other hand though, she got a kick out of seeing him in this state.

Only when Chu Xun was about to leave did she say hello to Little Candy and tell her to recuperate well.

After Chu Xun entered the elevator with Fu Huai'an and his family, she heard Fu Huai'an ask Lin Nuan, "Which day are you recording 'A Sunday Date?' I plan to take you and Tuan Tuan out to sea for a few days. Let's see which days can fit into your schedule…"

She had the vague sense Fu Huai'an was deliberately asking this in front of Chu Xun.

Through the mirror in the elevator, Lin Nuan saw Chu Xun's darkened expression.
