"Mother! Why'd you leave your phone in my room! Dad is calling!"

Lin Ran stood at the staircase on the second floor in her pajamas as she yelled towards the direction of the living room with the ringing phone in her hand. Apparently, she was unwilling to go downstairs in her pajamas when there were guests there.

"Got it…" Liang Mulan answered. She looked back at Cen Mo and said, "Apologies—I have to answer a call."

Cen Mo nodded. With his hands in his pockets, he appeared sophisticated.

Liang Mulan patted LIn Nuan's hand and said, "Xiao Nuan, do accommodate our guest here…"

Lin Nuan smiled and watched Liang Mulan leave. She noticed she was glowing after knowing that Lin Jingquan was safe and sound.

"Mr. Cen, please sit…" Lin Nuan said politely.

"Ms. Lin, do pass the message to Song Yao for me. Tell her I will only wait for her for three more days."

As his cold voice traveled across the room, Lin Nuan was shaken. She slowly looked up at Cen Mo, who was grinning, and fell silent.

She recalled the investor that made Song Yao break down earlier and the gruesome scene at the Century Hotel—the marks on Song Yao's body and her deathly pale face. Lin Nuan felt a chill travel up her spine.

She clenched her fists and asked Cen Mo in a hostile tone, "Is Song Yao not in the master suite of the Century Hotel?"

"What is Miss Lin trying to say?" Cen Mo replied in an indifferent yet sinister tone, "You were the one who picked her up from the hotel—shouldn't you know?"

It was him!

"Where is she?" Cen Mo asked as he whipped out a cigarette from his pocket.

Lin Nuan grinned as she heard him light up the cigarette. "Why would Mr. Cen think that I would reveal where my friend was to someone I had only met once? Did you overestimate your power or the impression you gave me?"

Cen Mo replied in his chilling, deep voice without looking up, "Miss Lin, you aren't as good a talker as Song Yao. Why don't you cut to the chase and give me the answer I want…"

Cen Mo spit out a puff of smoke with contempt in his eyes. "If I get my answer, I would definitely give you what you want—like settling this Weibo incident, or making your career take off…"

"Investors who are crooked inside all sound the same!" Lin Nuan said stiffly. "Career success? Heh…"

"Song Yao mentioned you were her best friend." Cen Mo answered unhurriedly as his face showed no sign of emotion. He continued in his malicious voice, "Let me be straightforward with you, if I manage to find Song Yao she would be safe, but if my fiancée finds her, there's no guarantee that she'll be alive."

Lin Nuan didn't answer as she tensed up. She did feel uncertain about that.

"I do like Song Yao a lot. I wouldn't take away her life, no matter how angry I got."

"Mr. Cen, your value system is really eye-opening. You're still clinging onto Song Yao when you have a fiancée. Is it satisfying for your disgusting ego when you forced a decent girl to become the mistress?" Lin Nuan no longer talked with manners. Even her superficial smile turned into a sarcastic and condescending sneer.

Cen Mo kept his eyes half open as he stared at Lin Nuan. He then chuckled maliciously. "Where is she? If you don't answer… I'll continue asking in front of Auntie Lin."

"On earth!" Lin Nuan no longer bothered hiding her repulsion and disgust.
