When she awoke the next day space beside her was empty. Glancing at the clock she realized it was still early enough and he was probably down at breakfast. He probably got up earlier as not to embarrass her with the other members of the household. Achingly she got out of bed to have a quick shower, throw on a green summery dress that came above the knees, plait her hair and rush downstairs like an eager kid on Christmas.

As usual, he was sitting at the table reading the paper and drinking coffee, but this time he set down his cup and the paper and stood up. "Good morning cheetah." He grinned. She started toward him when Miss Bennett came into the room causing her to stop dead.

The woman laid out platters of eggs, toast, and bacon, singing to herself sparing only a short look back and forth at either of them before she smiled and toddled out. They didn't pay her any heed, instead of smiling at each other with a new knowledge glittering in their eyes as yellow met green across the table. "Sleep well." He said. "You know the answer to that." "Come here." He held out his arms and she rushed into his embrace.

"Oh yuck you two." Said Alice with a grin coming into the dining room yawning sleepily and plopping in a seat, "Marry her Owen, so you two can get all mushy legally." She started scooping some breakfast on her plate. "By the way." She said without looking up, "Can I invite Wyatt over this coming Saturday for dinner?" Owen released Abigail and frowned down at the top of his sister's head. Abigail nudged him and gave him a look that told him to behave. He sighed, "I suppose."

Alice looked up at him as he pulled out a chair for Abigail, "Thanks big bro." she grinned, "I'm so glad you're here." She added looking at Abigail. Owen sat down to finish his coffee, "Quit sucking up. She won't always be on your side." "Yes, she will," Alice said confidently while shoveling some eggs in her mouth. "Besides, I know now that she can convince you that the sky is purple and the grass is blue."

He leaned back in his chair, still frowning, but there was a glint of amusement in his eyes, "You'll be late for school." She looked at her watch, "Fine. Get rid of me, but what I said is true and you know it." She jumped up and rushed around the table and kissed his cheek, "Thanks, Owen." She beamed at him before rushing out of the room.

"Get your ass over here." Grinning, she got up and immediately sat on his lap allowing him to kiss her. After a moment he lifted his head, and his eyes searched hers, "I just can't get enough of you." His hand came up and brushed her long hair back over his shoulder, then continued to caress her cheek, "I could make love to you all day, and still not get enough." She blushed.

"Maybe you and I should fly to Vegas this weekend and get married." Her breath caught in her throat, " Owen I—" "—Did you want a big wedding?" he interrupted sensing her hesitation. "And invite who?" she smiled.
