Chapter 58:Ch 58: Help yourself

His expression darkened, "I could have charged you with statutory ****." He warned, "Be thankful that Alice was born then. I couldn't live with the idea that I put her mother behind bars."

As far as I'm concerned no woman in the world can measure up to her. You included." She cringed at that last statement. "Are you just upset because I took your virginity?"

He laughed at that but his tone was anything but humorous, "Is that what you think? I was no more a virgin at sixteen than you were." "What?" "I had just come from a football party Kylie. One of many. There was never a shortage of cheerleaders or other girls. Why the hell do you think I joined the football team? Lord. I lost my virginity when I was fourteen."

He stepped toward her, "Do you think I would find you attractive? Look at that young hot woman I'm going to marry. You can't hold a candle to her." The words were cruel, but he loved finally saying them to her. For Alice's pain at missing out on a decent mother, Abigail's discomfort, and her constant come-ons. He'd had it. "I'm better than her in bed." She protested, "Do you think that young thing has the experience I have."

"That young thing had me so turned on she kept me up half the night." He threw at her. Kylie paled. If his other statements didn't hit home this one did. He never talked about his sex life with anyone, but Kylie had to know that he wasn't the least bit attracted to her.

"Am I interrupting?" Jayden's voice cut in causing them both to turn to him. He was standing in the doorway with his eyes on his wife. Kylie thought she paled before. Did he hear? He must've because his startling golden eyes were set on her thick with accusation.

It felt like ice water was running through her veins now. "She's just leaving." Said Owen regaining his legendary composure and shoving his hands in the pockets of his slacks. "yes she is." He nodded toward the door while looking at his wife. Kylie released a sob and ran by the both of them. After she was gone Jayden focused his eyes on his son, "I didn't know. I mean—I should say, I suspected." Owen shrugged.

"I knew what she was like when I married her own, but after your mother died, I went a little crazy. I couldn't seem to bed enough women, and well, Kylie was good in bed. Then came Alice…do you mind?" He pointed to the bottle of brandy. "Help yourself." He knew it was early morning, but this was an exception.
