Chapter 343 - Nicho's Painting

All of the best works of Nicho and several other famous painters are up for auction. 

Julian sat quietly with Viona who was beside him because Zio still wanted to see a good painting, Julian ordered Andi to accompany him to see the painting. 

Just then, Qiara arrived at the auction hall with Maxwell. The two of them took their seats in the middle. Meanwhile, Julian and Viona along with Nathan and Natalie sat in the front seat on the left. 

"Thanks to all the guests who came, I am the CEO of this gallery and officially open this auction!". Said Rena with a sweet smile whose voice was heard from behind the podium with clear loudspeakers. 

All of them immediately clapped their hands loudly for the greeting delivered by Rena. 

Demian encourages Rena from his chair so that Rena is not afraid and continues to be confident. 

"Before the auction starts, I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported me, the president of various companies, Nicho and my employees who have worked hard. Lastly to someone who is very important and special to me. Because of passion and support from him I can stand in front of you all". Rena said while looking at Demian with a gentle and loving gaze. 

Demi just smiled back at Rena's gaze because he actually felt ashamed to have been considered like that by Rena. 

He was grateful that Rena did not say his name according to his request.

"Looks like Rena has changed". Qiara said with a crackling smile on her soft, thin red lips. 

"Do you know Rena?". Asked Maxwell while glancing at Qiara after hearing what Qiara said.

"I was a fan when I was in high school, which is why I entered the art school". Qiara replied.

Hearing Qiara's answer, Maxwell just smiled as he watched Rena on stage. 

"This girl used to be very soft and cute, she was spoiled and very innocent. It's just that reality changes everything. But, I agree with what Qiara said. The current Rena is much better than the old Rena". Maxwell thought as he gave a sweet smile to Rena. 

Just then, Rena's gaze was fixed on Maxwell, immediately she smiled back at the handsome man who was smiling and very gentle when she spoke. 

"Maxwell, thank you for fulfilling your promise to come. But, who is the woman who is beside you?". Inner Rena while looking at the woman sitting beside Max.

Unfortunately, she couldn't see her face because Qiara was looking down at that time because she was busy with her cellphone. 

"I will invite my great painter who comes from America, he is Nicho". Rena continued, pointing at Nicho. 

Instantly Nicho stood up with an extraordinary aura, all the reporters immediately highlighted it very sharply so that all sides of his body were perfectly visible.

Nicho smiled as he raised his right hand to greet everyone, after which he sat back down. 

After the CEO's speech, the auction began.

"Why do you like painting?".

Maxwell's question suddenly made Qiara, who had been focused on the paintings that were issued one by one for auction, immediately turn to Maxwell. 

"The boss asked what was that?". Asked Qiara who was not clear at Maxwell's previous question. 

"I asked you, why do you like painting?". Maxwell happily repeated his question.

Qiara excitedly answered the question.

"Because the art of painting is about how an artist expresses himself through the canvas by following certain rules of composition and color. I like it the most when an artist displays his own painting to interpret the painting in the way we want. I think that's why I first started liking it. painting because I think that painting is a reflection. Not only that, from a painting we can know the personality of the painter.

"Have you ever fallen in love with your own painting? Even though other people might say it's ugly?". Asked Maxwell again who was trying to identify Qiara by the way she spoke and how she explained what she liked. 

"The most interesting thing for the painters is when buyers see their paintings with meaning in their own way of translating. Sometimes I fall in love with what I paint, because often what I paint describes what I think and feel. care about the bad opinion of others, because intelligent art connoisseurs know very well how to appreciate a work, that is why they are ready to spend tens of millions on a work of art that they think is good and meaningful ". Qiara explained all of that with a sparkling gaze and a full smile.

Maxwell was completely blown away by Qiara's expression as she explained what she likes, a radiant face and clear eyes.

"You are a lover of painting, why don't you just become a painter?". Maxwell endlessly asked Qiara as everyone else focused on the auction. 

"Boss, not all questions I have to answer right? So, let me enjoy this auction". Said Qiara who was getting annoyed with Maxwell who was so chatty without stopping to ask. 

"Okay, I'm sorry!". Maxwell said as he returned to focus on the show. 

"I'll buy one of Nicho's works one day when I become a big star!". Qiara said hopefully because she really liked the painting technique used by Nicho. 

"I'll help you to have it, think of it as a debt because Nicho rarely joins the auction. Besides, Nicho only paints for certain people".

Hearing Maxwell's words, Qiara immediately gave him a strange look. 

"Boss, you can't buy a painting carelessly. Because when you buy a work of art, you buy part of the artist's soul. They have dedicated their lives to art. And there you have it! They all come from economic backgrounds, lifestyles, and different art education. So, if the boss wants to buy their work, it has to be because the boss likes it, not because he wants to buy it for someone else without liking it". Qiara said sarcastically. 

For Qiara, the world of painting is the most extraordinary world and should not be reproached by anyone let alone disrespected.. He wants other people to like a painting because of love as well as himself.
