Chapter 409 - Reason

"Yes, Boss". Andi replied. 

After that, Andi turned the car around to return to his office.

YM Group office.

After finishing filming that afternoon, Kevin immediately left the YM Entertainment office because he had to meet Maxwell who asked him to come to the YM Group office.

"What do you want that strange human? Didn't we have a meeting this morning at his office? Then, why do I have to go to the office again? Very troublesome". Inner Kevin.

Although he was not sure why Maxwell asked him to come, Kevin still came.

After a long journey, Kevin finally arrived at the YM Group office.

A moment later, Kevin got out of his car and rushed into the main door.

Kevin's presence certainly caught the attention of the employees because this time he came through public channels. 

"Isn't that the famous director of YM Entertainment?".

"Of course it's him, who else has such a terrifying demonic aura besides him".

"He is both very handsome and cruel. Even so, many successful artists are born from his cold hands".

"Is he already married?".

"Apparently not, there is not even a record of who has ever been dated. But, reportedly he has children".

"I think it's a rumor, because I've also heard that he prefers to spend time playing with Boss Maxwell. They are both single is possible ...".

"Watch your words, if Boss hears then you can be fired. Don't you know that there is an angel of death behind Boss's cute smile that he always shows us?".

Hearing the whispers of YM Group employees, Kevin was not affected in the least, he continued his steps towards Maxwell's room.

"They are a class of women who do not deserve to be a life partner, because they are terrible when they start wanting to know about other people's private lives. It's sad". Kevin thought when he was in the elevator.

Not long after, Kevin arrived on the 10th floor, where Max's room was built majestically and there was only one room on that floor. Devoted only to their strange president who has strange behavior and habits. 

After asking Maxwell's secretary, Kevin immediately opened the door and found his best friend standing staring out the window. 

"What are you calling me? Usually you ask me to come to your house?". Kevin asked while sitting on the sofa and eating the wine that was already available on the table. 

Hearing Kevin's question, Maxwell immediately turned around, putting his hands in his trouser pockets. 

"Is the wine sweet? I picked it this morning from the garden behind my house?". Asked Max expressionlessly.

Kevin paused, staring at Maxwell who looked different from usual.

"What's with your expression?". Asked Maxwell again after he sat across from Kevin. 

"Don't tell me that you asked me to come just to taste the wine from your garden? I was very busy at the office, but you did this. Besides, are you having a problem?". Kevin said sarcastically. 

"You made big decisions during the meeting, you fought Sandy like that, aren't you afraid he will use his parents' power to force me to fire you?". Said Maxwell who got to the heart of the discussion he wanted to discuss with Kevin.

"At least he must have a reason to fire me so the board of directors will grant it". Kevin replied casually while chewing the very sweet wine. 

"Sandy is a cunning human, he will not let you win. How is it?". Max keeps cornering Kevin because he wants to see another side of Kevin. 

"Hahaha ... I'm more cunning than him". Kevin chuckled when he heard Maxwell's words.

"You're right. So, what are you going to do to the girl who has that terrible scandal? GM threw her away but you picked her up. Are you sure you won't regret it?". Ask Maxwell who has been looking for who would Kevin choose. 

"I will hold a press conference tomorrow, apart from rectifying the wrong scandal, I want to introduce her as a new member of YM Entertainment". Kevin replied casually. 

"GM people will laugh at you, do you still want to do it?". Asked Max again. 

"You know well who I am, after making a decision, it's not necessary for me to take it back. Oh yeah, I heard that Liana really defends Natalie, it looks like they're good friends". Kevin said.

He also slipped in the name Qiara to lure Maxwell's support because he knew that Maxwell was looking for Qiara's sympathy.

"Okay, we will clear the woman's good name first and then you can hold a press conference to clarify it". Max said spontaneously.

As Kevin expected, Maxwell reacted immediately after finding out that Natalie was Qiara's best friend.

"You strange human, he acts fast when I mention the name of the person he likes". Kevin thought as he continued to eat the wine provided by Maxwell.

After coming from YM Group, in the evening Kevin asked Natalie to come to his house because he did not have time to visit Natalie's house.

Meanwhile, Qiara reaches Natalie's house. Instantly, Natalie greeted her with joy. 

Qiara was the only good friend who was there when she needed her. Therefore, Natalie really loves the couple Qiara and Julian who have been so kind to her. Even though for five years they didn't see each other.

"Thanks for coming. But, I have to go to meet someone, don't you mind waiting here?". Natalie said after bringing Qiara inside.

"Khem ... I thought it would be better if I came". Qiara replied, who was worried that Natalie would go alone and would be bullied or hurt.

Qiara knows very well how terrible her name is a fanatical fan, especially the journalists who are always looking for mistakes. 

Natalie was silent for a moment while watching Qiara, she thought that Qiara should come so that she wouldn't feel awkward when she was with Kevin.

"Okay, you can come. Oh yes, can you bring a car!".

"No. Hehehe ...". Qiara spoke honestly because she had never tried to learn to drive a car. 

"Okay, I'll drive. But, next time you have to drive, therefore you have to ask Mr. Ju to teach. Now let's go!". Natalie said as she took Qiara up.

All that was left of Natalie was a car that was bought after making a fortune for backstage singing.
