Chapter 489 - Haunted By Feelings Of Guilt

"Then, keep the girl with him!". Felix said after thinking for a long time. 

"That too is impossible". Rafael looked down sadly because he couldn't possibly stop Maxwell from seeing Qiara.

"Then we find another way. Well, I'll go now. If he hasn't regained consciousness, just call me!".

"Yes". After that, Felix immediately left because his head felt dizzy thinking of a way out for Maxwell, even though this was the seventh year of Vania's death.

Meanwhile, Rafael immediately went to the kitchen to make his boss's favorite food. Because usually Maxwell only wants his food when he doesn't feel well.

Julian's study.

At the same time, Julian gasped in shock from his sleep. Instantly, he ran to the secret room where he kept all about Vania.

After arriving in the room, Julian immediately found a large red box. 

He immediately opened it after finding the box.

Inside the box, he glares intently at the pink letter envelope. Instantly his hands were shaking when he opened the letter.

"Vania ... What's wrong with you? Why are you meeting me with this letter? Do you want me to give it to Qiara? I can't afford to lose her". Julian thought while shedding tears. 

The letter was written the night before Vania died, as if she had a hunch and she suddenly wrote the letter which was addressed to her sister.

"Aaaa ...". Julian screamed while hitting the table in front of him.

He was tormented by the existence of the letter, he wanted to present it but couldn't. The image of anger on Vania's face always crossed his mind.

"Vania ... Can't you let me make amends to you by making your sister happy? We already have children and we love each other. So, I beg you to let me throw this letter away and don't come again!". Shouted Julian.

He then slumps to the floor crying, Maxwell's return and being very close to Qiara makes Julian feel anxious and angry.

He could not possibly follow Vania's wishes in the letter.

Even though he knew that he shouldn't be like this. But, his heart still seemed to be pressed by a large mountain, felt depressed, a little tight as long as the letter was still in his hand.

His love story with Vania was too beautiful to forget, the girl with beautiful eyes always calmed his heart. He had promised to marry her when he returned. However, he had to accept the reality when Vania chose to be with Maxwell. Even so, he never believed that Vania no longer loved him. Because he knows how Vania was looking for him.

Even though Vania is ignorant of him, he still doesn't give up and keeps trying to get close to her, trying to make Vania come back to him. So that he and Maxwell continue to hate each other.

The accident had taken away his happiness, especially when he found out that the accident had only killed one person. Meanwhile, he woke up one month later and found himself in a hospital in America.

He felt even more guilty when he had to pretend not to know about the accident on the grounds that he was on a business trip. 

Rice has become porridge, the woman he loves the most has become a land that is watered with tears every time he comes to her grave.

"What if Qiara finds out that day Vania actually had an accident with me? Moreover, if she read the original letter from Vania? Will she hate me and then leave me again?".

Julian keeps asking himself because he knows that he can't possibly keep this secret for too long, especially if Maxwell brings up the accident and finds out that Qiara is Vania's younger sister. 

Just then, the sound of his cell phone rang and it was from Andi.

Julian wiped his tears, after which AI received a call from Andi.

"Hello?". Said Julian first after sliding the green icon on his cellphone.

"Hello boss, I have found out who the person who bought the vineyard is on behalf of JJ Group". Andi said.

Julian immediately put all of Vania's things in the box. But he forgot to put it back in place. After that he returned to his study and sat in his usual chair.

"Tell me who it is!". Said Julian after he found a comfortable position.

"That person uses the code Mr. X, it seems he knows a lot about JJ Group secrets. But, I can not find out who Mr. X is". Andi said with a little regret.

"Okay, I understand". After saying that Julian hung up the phone.

He didn't want to talk more with Andi because he had to confirm his suspicions about his Papa. Apart from that, he also had to match the data Kevin gave with his Papa's explanation. 

"I can not delay any longer, I have to meet Papa!". After saying that, Julian immediately put on his coat and then came out of his study. 

The living room was very quiet because Zio and Jasmin chose to spend time together only in the room. Meanwhile, Liu was busy in the kitchen. 

Not long after, Julian's car left his home area at high speed.

Meanwhile at his family's house, Nathan sat beside Sarah, staring blankly at his father who was sitting across from him. Meanwhile, Clara is busy in her room to take care of some invitations that will be sent to her close friends.

After receiving a call from Clara's father, Mr. Joseph's face was immediately cheerful, he smiled at his wife and children as he said. "Clara's father said that he is very satisfied with your good intentions. Therefore, he can't wait to see you and Clara getting married. He said he wanted to give his law firm shares to you".

Sarah only smiled bitterly at the cheerful face of her husband, while Nathan just nodded passionately.

"You will not regret getting married to Clara, because Clara can be your goldmine. Despite the fact that you will not be able to match Julian's prowess". Mr. Joseph connects.

Immediately Nathan clenched his fists while lowering his head, he was bored and hated hearing his father always praised Julian. In addition, he hated Julian even more because his life had never been arranged by his father.

What Nathan did not know was that Mr. Joseph could not explicitly prohibit or regulate Julian so that he could only use other means to convey his wishes towards Julian.

"I will follow all orders Papa! Because I know that Papa must be doing all this for my good". Nathan said in a depressed manner.

"Good, then there is no more problem, we have to prepare because tomorrow you and Clara will get married and be witnessed by all the people in this city. Because your wedding will be held openly with many journalists". Said Mr. Joseph, clapping his hands with joy.

"Then, I will check some preparations for tomorrow. Hopefully it is what we want". After saying that, Sarah immediately got up and left the living room.

Meanwhile, Nathan was just listening to the discussions between his parents, then the marriage had just been terminated, this time he would not be able to run again. 

Not with Julian or Jasmin's help.

For Mr. Joseph, marriage and the happiness of his children were only items that could be traded for profit, past or present. 

"Your wedding will be held in a white building that can accommodate many guests. Of course, your wedding and Clara will be the most horrendous wedding of the year. What do you think?". Asked Mr Joseph.

The white house is where all state officials gather and organize major state events. The building was wider and nicer than a football stadium so that Mr. Joseph felt proud to be able to carry out his son's wedding there.

If in the past Julian couldn't make him fulfill this dream because Julian's wedding was held in secret, but now he can be proud of his other son. Nathan was his greatest hope.

Nathan seemed to be taking a deep breath, he then raised his eyes, slowly met the eyes of his father who was sitting opposite him. 

"Father, is it not too late to cancel this marriage?". Nathan asked emotionlessly.

Instantly, Mr. Joseph's face turned red as if it was burning with a burning fire. 

He then hit the table in front of him, then he said. "Do you want to make the honorable JJ family a laughing stock among us for the second time! You should be grateful that Papa chose an extraordinary wife candidate and comes from a respectable and wealthy family. Papa emphasized once again, don't think about running or cancel this marriage if you don't want to get in trouble".

Of course Nathan still remembered the incident when he left his marriage to Clara. It made JJ's family feel embarrassed, and almost became a laughing stock if the journalists sniffed the story.

"Yes Papa! I will not make our family to bear shame anymore, then I will go to the room first because I have to make preparations too". After saying that, Nathan paid his respects and then left his father's presence.

Mr.. Joseph immediately leaned back on the sofa with a sigh of relief, hoping that Nathan would not do anything stupid again.
