Chapter 512 - The Past (2)

Just as Maxwell was about to kiss Vania's lips, suddenly he heard the sound of a bell ringing. He was surprised because it must be Rafael who he had contacted but he left his cell phone without saying anything.

It was confirmed that Rafael was worried about him so he came.

"Damn ... I can't possibly continue because Rafael won't stop until he finds me".

After thinking about it, Maxwell stood up and lifted Vania's body again and put her in the bath.

Maxwell was forced to slap Vania's cheek so that she could be aware of the drug's influence.

"Hey ... Vania! Wake up!". Maxwell is still trying to revive Vania who hasn't shown any reaction until Maxwell doused her with cold water a lot.

Instantly Vania opened her eyes and immediately hugged her cold body.

"Who are you?". Vania is terrified when she sees Maxwell who is topless.

"Good that you realize. Now, clean your body and then dry your body using the towel that is over there. I'll order a set of clothes for you". After saying that Maxwell immediately came out of the bathroom uncomfortable because his passion was still burning.

With great difficulty, he walked towards the bathroom in his room. After that he got rid of his passion in the bathroom completely.

A few moments later.

After finishing his business in the bathroom, Maxwell immediately came out and lay down on the bed because he felt tired.

After that, he made a call to Rafael.

"Hello boss?". Rafael's voice was heard from across the phone after the call was connected.

"Are you the one who pressed my apartment bell?". Asked Maxwell in a terrible voice.

"Sorry boss, I have entered using the emergency key from the maid who used to clean your apartment, now I'm in the living room".

Maxwell was surprised because Vania was still in the bathroom, he took off his cellphone and then came out of his room.

"Good evening boss! Are you okay?". Rafael asked after he saw that Maxwell was in front of him. 

"I'm fine! Therefore you should go immediately!". Maxwell said, gritting his teeth because he was worried that Rafael would see Vania.

"Yes, boss". Rafael turned around again as he was about to walk toward the exit because he felt something was forgotten.

"What else?". Maxwell feels like strangling Rafael who comes back after he asked him to leave.

"Earlier I met your secretary outside. But, I immediately told him to leave after I took the item you ordered. I thought you were going to give a woman a gift of clothes, is that true?".

Maxwell was silent, closing his eyes, he least likes nagging people. But, he had to hold back his emotions so that Vania was not afraid.

"Leave the thing and get out of here!".

Rafael felt goosebumps at Maxwell's hideous expression.

"Yes boss!". After that Rafael immediately fled from Maxwell before he got angry.

Maxwell breathed a sigh of relief after seeing Rafael leave, after which he sat gracefully on the sofa reading a magazine. 

It's been quite a while since he sat on the sofa, but Vania hasn't come out of the bathroom yet so he feels panic.

"Why isn't she out yet? Is she ...". Maxwell couldn't continue when he was feeling bad.

He also rushed to the bathroom to check on Vania.

From inside the bathroom, he heard the sound of water dripping.

"Vania ... Are you okay?". Asked Maxwell after knocking on the door three times.

Suddenly he heard the sound of crying from inside the bathroom, he panicked even more and then broke down the bathroom door.

"Vania ...". Maxwell felt sorry to see Vania curled up in the corner of the bathroom, ducking her head down.

Her naked body had been wrapped in a white towel. However, his legs and arms seemed to be wrinkled because of the cold.

"Don't come near! Please don't hurt me!". Vania shouted when she noticed Maxwell's footsteps getting closer to her. 

"Calm down! I will not hurt you, I will help you". Maxwell said in a low voice.

"The mouth of men cannot be trusted, I am not a prostitute but my body has been seen by other men, that means now I am nothing more than a prostitute. How can I face my students?". Vania's voice trembled because she felt stressed thinking about that bad thing.

For the first time, Maxwell felt sympathy for a woman. He could guess that Vania was a good girl who had been trapped.

After a long silence, Maxwell ignored Vania's prohibition. He squatted while holding Vania's hand then said. "You are not a prostitute because the name of a prostitute is one who offers herself to every man. But, you have been trapped, therefore I will help you repay those who have done this to you, trust me!".

Vania looked up into Maxwell's eyes, she saw sincerity in the gaze so she nodded and wanted to follow Maxwell out of the bathroom.

"I just want to live a calm and happy life through my days, not to take revenge. That's my biggest wish".

"Okay, I'll help you to make it happen". After saying that, Maxwell helps Vania to get out of the bathroom.

Vania followed Maxwell obediently, for some reason she didn't suspect the stranger.

Maxwell could not imagine what if that innocent girl was raped by three people at once. The one who ordered them was definitely a very cruel human.

"Do you want to drink or eat?". Asked Maxwell when he saw that Vania was wearing the clothes he had bought. 

Vania shook her head shyly, because she felt uncomfortable bothering strangers. Moreover, the stranger is a man. 

"Then, you just rest in my room and I'll sleep on the sofa!". Maxwell shows his sweet attitude to Vania so that she won't be afraid of him. 

Without answering Maxwell's question, Vania walked and sat across Maxwell's seat. After that she took a deep breath without looking at Maxwell.

"Sir ... Thank you for helping me! I know that restraint is not easy for men, so I'm sorry. Because we are not married, I want to leave tonight from your apartment".. Vania said in a soft voice.
