Chapter 71 - [Bonus Chapter] The Rose Girl (4)

Slowly, Yang Zhang saw a human female leg step in, her leg was slender, but it had stitches and was grey colored.

It reminded him of—A zombie.

Yang Zhang held his breath when he saw the zombie's leg. That ashen grey skin was evidence that the woman was a zombie.

But how could a zombie take care of a human? All they could do was grunt while wandering around aimlessly, waiting for another victim since they could live forever without any food.

"Stay around me, guys! It's a zombie! Especially you, Little Ivy, stay close. I know that you don't like zombies!"

"Vii?" Little Ivy tilted her small head confusedly.

"Wait, you're not scared?"

"Vii! Vii!"

Yang Zhang was surprised by Little Ivy's answer. She told Yang Zhang that she wasn't scared of this zombie because she didn't make a grunting noise, and also… beautiful?

"Wait, you're calling a zombie beautiful?" Yang Zhang asked. He had to confirm because he thought he heard it wrong.

"Vii!" Little Ivy confirmed again. She did call the zombie as beautiful.

Yang Zhang got even more curious, so he told the zombie, "You can come inside now, don't be nervous."

The female zombie seemed to be nervous as her body stiffened. She showed half of her body in the process, looking at Yang Zhang with her eyes.

Yang Zhang's prediction was correct. The girl was indeed a zombie. She had long dark hair, and her skin was ashen grey. She had stitches all over, so there was no falling skin on her.

But what caught Yang Zhang's attention the most was her eye. She was staring at Yang Zhang with an eye of a human. A zombie's eyes would be all black or white, with no pupil.

But this zombie had a beautiful eye with a dark pupil. She looked meek, judging by her, who tried to avert her gaze when Yang Zhang stared back.

"You can come in," Yang Zhang persuaded again. "You're the one who took care of me when I'm unconscious, right? So don't be scared. I should be grateful for your help instead."

The girl was finally convinced, she slowly walked into the bedroom, and now, Yang Zhang could see her appearance from head to toe.

She was indeed a zombie with ashen grey skin and stitches everywhere. She had dark hair and eyes glistening with tears. She was a young adult woman, probably in her mid-20s, but it didn't hide her beauty.

Yang Zhang felt that he had seen her face somewhere, but he quickly dismissed the idea.

She was covered in a short dress made of black roses and white roses in front, making an illusion that she was wearing a maid dress. To complete it all, she had a single rose on top of her head, showing her true emotion. If she was happy, the rose would twerk or dance. It would stand straight like a pole or tremble in fear if she was nervous.

The girl fidgeted in front of Yang Zhang nervously, clenching the hem of her rose dress while looking down when Yang Zhang was staring at her.

Yang Zhang tried to get up and talk to the rose girl in front of him, but he was still paralyzed from the neck down, "Ivy, can you help to prop me on the bed? I want to talk with her while sitting."

"Vii!" Little Ivy helped Yang Zhang sit on the bed.

"M—Master, I can help you—" the rose girl suddenly said.

"Master?" Yang Zhang raised his brow bewilderedly. He didn't expect the girl to call him 'Master' while he was fully conscious right now, unlike before, when he couldn't move his body.

"Don't move from your position. Ivy can help me," Yang Zhang commanded. "I need to ask you a few questions first."

"O—Okay, Master…"

Yang Zhang's lips twitched when he heard the girl call him Master. But he decided to ignore it for now because his questions were more urgent.

"Okay, first, are you a zombie or a mutated plant? Or maybe an ability user? What are you really?"

"I—I don't know either, Master. I got my consciousness after you planted me in the backyard. I show my expression with the rose on top of my head."

"You don't know yourself? Then how about a name?"

"I don't have a name, Master. It is your right to give me a name since you're the one who breathes life in me," the girl said.

Yang Zhang hummed for a while. This zombie rose girl told him that she didn't know what was her, whether she was a zombie or ability user. She also had no name, so she might be in the same species as Little Ivy and Poddie…

"If you can already show your feeling by the dancing rose on top of your head, why wouldn't you come to me sooner?" Yang Zhang asked.

"That's because um… I don't have a body until you planted the second red bead inside my soil, Master…" the girl said. "You… planted the second one, and I suddenly have a body for myself!"

"Eh?!" Yang Zhang was surprised to the core. Of course, he didn't expect this because he thought that planting two Brain beads inside one soil wouldn't do anything.

But now he found that two Brain beads would actually give a mutated plant a zombified body?

Yang Zhang slowly turned his head at Little Ivy, who refused to take the second Brain bead, "How about you, Ivy? Can you get that same effect if I plant another Brain bead inside your soil?"

"Vii! Vii!" Little Ivy insisted that she couldn't be changed. She refused to take another Brain bead, especially after seeing how another Brain bead inside her root might've turned her big like the girl in front of them.

That meant Little Ivy wouldn't be able to swing around with Yang Zhang again if she got a human body.

"Okay, then, if you don't want it," Yang Zhang mumbled. He returned his attention towards the zombie girl and asked more questions, "Then, how come you haven't uprooted yourself when I'm home?"

"Um… the flesh in my body is falling off. I have to stitch myself first before presenting myself to you. I'm sorry for the wait, Master…" the girl answered, and she lowered her head ashamedly.

Yang Zhang was still trying to process that now he had a mutated plant + a zombie in one package.

"Alright, then what can you do?"

"Pardon, Master?"

"What kind of ability that you have?" Yang Zhang asked. "I mean, Little Ivy can stretch out her vines for various things. Poddie can produce pea bullets, Chestnut can discharge electricity and be a portable charger, and Spicy Wing can regulate the heat in its body."

"So I believe you can do something, right?"

"Umm…" the rose girl seemed to be thinking for a moment. She answered, "I can grow roses from a wound, Master. It is to stop bleeding and soothe the pain for a while until you get a real medical treatment. I can also create thin threads for stitching, Master," the girl said as she showed how her fingers produced thin threads.

"I can also grow roses everywhere. I've wanted to decorate the front and backyard with flowers. If you allow me to, Master."

Yang Zhang looked at the window. The soil around this house was quite big but barren. It would be better if this rose girl could turn it into a small garden.

"Okay, I will allow you to decorate the soil around the hut to make a small garden," Yang Zhang accepted. The rose girl was so happy that she bent her back a few times, "Thank you so much, Master! I will grow other plants if I find them around the hut as well! The place will be filled with flowers!"

"Oh, Master, may I know what name will you give me?" The rose girl asked.

"Name?"

"Yes, Master. You're the one who created me. I need a name, just like your other pets…."

"Hmm… how about… Roselia?" Yang Zhang said. "I think it will fit you since you come from a single rose, right?"

"Oh! Thank you for the name, Master! I am now Roselia!" the rose girl bowed again.

"Oh, Master, I can also do another task other than gardening," Roselia said.

"Other task?"

"Um… I can cook, clean the house, wash your clothes, and do another private service," Roselia said.

"… private service?"

"Yes, Master. If you're exhausted or pent up, I can um… do something about it," Rosalie said. She looked even more embarrassed than before.

Yang Zhang immediately remembered what happened when he was unconscious, and his cheeks also reddened, "N—Not now! Not in front of the kids—I mean, other pets!"

"Ah, I understand, Master. Then I will go and bring you breakfast. You must be starving," Roselia said. She bowed her head politely and left.

Now, Yang Zhang had more questions than answers, and the main question was;

"What is the formula to create Roselia?"
