Chapter 656 - Extra 3

"My name is Lu Meili. I am the female lead of this novel." 

"Then what is mother-in-law, huh?" Mu Zhichen hugged his wife from behind. Her cooking skills had improved a little after living with him for so long so she was preparing breakfast while blabbering her nonsense.

"Fine, I'm the female lead's daughter. But don't you think our love story is more exciting? I should be considered the female lead instead. Besides, my life has been filled with more adventure than hers was." 

Mu Zhichen turned off the cooker and turned the little woman around, hugging her tightly. "Life is not a television series. Do you think that if this was fictional, we would have ended up together?" 

"No? What would happen, then?" Lu Meili curiously asked as she felt his heartbeat that seemed to always accelerate each time they hugged. 

"In television series, female leads always end up with their first love. You should know this better than I do, shouldn't you?." 

Lu Meili raised her head and looked into his eyes, then kissed the corner of his lips. "I'm glad I ended up with you."

In the living room

"Brother, are mommy and daddy doing weird things again?" A tiny girl asked her brother, her little head ċȯċked to the side with curiosity. 

"I don't know either. Perhaps they are making a little brother for us. Ariana, let's go play on our own. We should let them be." 

"You're right. I'm going to show grapa the heart I painted." Little Ariana said, her eyes blinking innocently. 

"It's not grapa. It's grandpa. And I'm going to show grandma the car I painted." Little Adrian replied and dragged his sister along.

"Grandpa, look! I painted a heart. It's for you." The tiny girl stuck out her hands to show Lu Aotian a painting she had spent days completing. Although it was just a simple heart, she was still little so it took a lot of effort. 

Lu Aotian took the painting with a smile. "Good girl, Ariana. Where is your brother?" 

The tiny girl sulked, her little heart breaking. "Grandpa is not fair at all. You always ask about my brother every time. Does grandpa not love me anymore?" 

Lu Aotian picked up the little girl, whose way of acting cute was just like her mother's when she was young. "How could that be? Grandpa loves Ariana very much." 

"Really, really?" The little girl was overjoyed. "Then will I get a kiss from grandpa?" 

Lu Aotian kissed her soft flushed cheeks, and the girl exploded in happiness, before skipping off to play. 

Glancing at the tiny girl as she played around, he couldn't help chuckling. 

That tiny girl was a split resemblance of what he remembered his mother to be. Even their way of laughing was identical.

If he didn't know better, he would have thought that his mother had reincarnated into Ariana Mu, his granddaughter.

"Grandma, is this how I draw a car?" Ariana's brother, Adrian, asked his grandmother. 

Wan Jia looked at the painting that was too good for a little boy. "Well done, Adrian. It's very beautiful. Just like you." 

"Thank you grandma." the little boy took his painting to go and show off to his parents. 

"He is just like his dad." Mu Zhichen's mother remarked. 

"It's every parent's dream for their children to take after them." Wan Jia said proudly.

"Congratulations." 

"Sis Katy, your baby is so handsome." Lu Meili was awed, looking at the little cutie in Katy's arms. He was only two days old. 

"Aren't you going to congratulate Katy?" Henry Blanc asked Lin Lihua, who was peeking at the people surrounding Katy to take a glimpse of the newborn. 

"I already did." Lin Lihua said passively. 

"Then aren't you going to hold him a little? He's our grandson after all." 

"Are you kidding me?" 

Henry Blanc chuckled. "You do want to hold him, though." 

"No no. Of course not. Who said I..." Lin Lihua realized she sounded silly. "Fine. I will hold him once." 

She walked up to Katy Blanc. "Um, congratulations." 

"Thank you aunt. You already said that." 

"Ahem..." she coughed. "Let me hold him once?" 

Katy looked surprised, but she handed the bundle of cuteness to Lin Lihua. 

Although she had only said she would hold him once, her heart melted as soon as she felt the baby in her arms. The baby rubbed his eyes with his tiny fist then blinked his eyes at her. 

"How cute! Fine, I admit. Grandma wants to hold you a little longer." 

Katy's friends burst into laughter. 

"Your baby was able to achieve a feat you couldn't achieve for years." 

"He stole Aunt Lihua's heart just like that." 

Lin Lihua glared at them. "So what if my heart is stolen. With a cutie like this, it's totally worth it."

At the side, Katy's friends fell into discussion. 

"Yo, Xixi, who are you chatting with? Your handsome professor that swept you off your feet?" 

Small Xixi rolled her eyes. "What professor? He's my future boyfriend, okay?" 

Katy joined in and laughed. "I hope you end up together." 

Katy's husband was a famous businessman from Country F; his company was currently one of the top companies in the country. He and Katy had met on one of their business trips and it was love at first sight. They had met again several times  while trying to negotiate for the same projects and before they knew it, they had fallen in love with each other. 

Well, after years of avoiding the topic of marriage, Katy finally found her true love and got married.

That evening, they went to the Lin residence. Xia Rou and Lin Zhou were yet to meet their great grandson. 

When they arrived, they realized that they were not the only ones in the Lin residence. 

Yun Xuan was there too, with her husband and son, and so were Wan Jia and Lu Aotian. Lu Meili and her younger sister were trying to catch up with their grandfather Lin Zhou, while the little pair of twins, Adrian Mu and Ariana Mu, entertained everyone else with their funny jokes. 

When Katy arrived with her husband, Lin Lihua and Henry Blanc beside her, Wan Jia gasped. "I was just saying that if the Blancs came tonight, the family would be complete and they really came!" 

Xia Rou emotionally rushed over to meet her great grandson. The twins hadn't had the chance to see him either, so they went over to take a peek. Ariana took a glance at the baby and was shocked so she pulled her brother to the side. 

"Brother, why is little cousin so tiny?" Ariana knew the identity of the tiny baby so she asked. 

Adrian looked over with big eyes then looked back at his sister. "Babies are usually so small." 

"Really? Were we that small too?" 

"No. I overheard grandma say that twins are usually smaller. We must have been smaller than him." 

The little girl frowned when she imagined anything smaller than that baby. She shook her head. "Brother, I suddenly don't want a little sister." 

"Why not?" Little Adrian asked curiously

"If she is so tiny then we can't play together..." 

"Look what we have here. What are the two of you whispering about?"
