Chapter 28 - 28: Captain Of Women's Volleyball Team

Roy went to their classroom with Halora. Despite the wound on her face, she convinced the nurse and discharged her from the school clinic.

She was seated in her chair and listened attentively to the teacher. Physical Education was the last subject in the afternoon, and after that, Halora usually went back home by herself.

"Class dismissed, see you next week and have fun with all the school activities!" Mr. Glee arranged his class record as he reminded his students about the forthcoming activities.

"Goodbye, Mr. Glee and see you next, next Monday!" All of them answered in the chorus but suddenly, Mrs. Yang broadcasted an unexpected meeting with all the participants including Roy and Sandra.

Roy carried his bag and went closer to Halora. "Are you going home?" He asked, wanted her to watch their practice but she shook her head slightly..

Halora put all of her things inside of her backpack, "Yes, I have to take a rest. Remember Ms. San Diego's advice earlier."

"But what about your wound?"

Out of the blue, Halora stopped at the moment. She remembered the campus bad boy who never came back to the clinic at all.

She wanted to tell him something, but she was scared of him. "Don't worry about that, I will drop in the convenient store and buy it."

Roy remained silent as he waited for her to finish off. Until Sandra turned around and exclaimed, "Adrian, hurry up! Mrs. Yang is waiting for us!"

"Yes, I'll follow you there San. I will just accompany Halora to the school's gate!"

Sandra smiled at them, turned around, and rolled her eyes secretly. "Halora! Halora! Halora! I don't understand why people are always mentioning that ugly name!" Irritated and upset, Sandra whispered to the air.

Halora has no other option but let him accompanied her to the school's gate. She was weak, hurt, and suffered too much but there was a boy who made her uncomfortable and angry without any reason.

Along the way, Roy felt such a strange feeling too. He knew she was aggrieved but he has no proof at all.

But many students wondered why she was with Roy again. Few of them took pictures and videos for their interests. Yet, he ignored their usual actions and reactions.

"Thank... Thank you for accompanying me but you have to follow her right now." Halora looked at the ground, then clasped her hands as she felt guilty without any reason.

But she knew everyone watched them from a distance, made rumors about them. "See you around, and if you need my help, you can call my number. Do you understand?"

Roy looked intently into her eyes. She knew he wanted him to stay and send her home safely and soundly but he has to attend to the practice.

Halora had never felt loved and cared about before. She only knew how to be scared, burst into tears, and screamed at the top of her lungs to ask for help.

But on the day she met Sebastian and Roy, her life slowly had begun to change. From being dull, boring, and lifeless came to be more intriguing, enticing, and filled with glowing colors.

"I will...," She answered shortly, bowed her head, and waved her hands at him. "Good luck!" smiled over her shoulders which made him widened his eyes and mesmerized by the sight of her.

Halora carried her things with ease. She walked onto the sidewalk with a genuine smile on her face and almost forgot about the incident that had taken place inside the campus premises.

For the moment, she stopped at the quiet, crowded sidewalk. She tried to rewind what happened but it just have her sudden goosebumps.

"Huh, what a beautiful day still." She murmured and looked upon the bright, blue sky.

Aside from her, many students had chosen to take the sidewalk as they were with their friends, boyfriends, and best friends while she was walking by herself.

It was never new to her as she would always witness the same scene every dismissal of classes.

"I often wonder if when I get the chance to meet my first true love...," Halora gasped and shook her head when someone flashed back to her memory.

She knew it was unimaginable but the thought of him made her heart stopped from beating. "No! I don't like him and I will never fall in love with him... over my dead, sexy body!"

She whispered as if she was at the right age to be in love. Because of thinking about it too much, she forgot that she was walking in the crowded place until she accidentally bumped into the trash cans.

Everyone who was on the sidewalk saw what happened. They burst into loud laughter and instead of helping her, they took pictures of Halora with the plastic bottles and leftover foods.

Her uniform was filled with stains, dirt, and a breathtaking smell. No one had dared to help because of the feces–like smell.

"Eww! Such an idiot, little girl!" Someone spoke from behind. But remained calm and she picked up the plastics and put them back in the trash can.

"Hey! Can you stop taking pictures and videos of her? You're just violating the law if you do not know and aware of it." spoke a girl who had caught everyone's attention.

Halora looked at her dirty hands for a couple of minutes. She knew she smelled like a dead animal yet, she never expected to be saved by someone.

"Ze––Zenith?"

"Next time, if you will do this again... I will call the police and you will be in prison forever, do you understand?" Zenith told the tall guy who took videos of her.

Fortunately, she scared him to death. Aside from being the most beautiful girl on the campus, Zenith was known for being the Captain of the women's volleyball team.

She was not just a beauty but with a brain and extraordinary ability. "Do you want to change first before going home?"

Zenith asked Hermione as she covered her nose while giggling. She smelled it too and her stomach turned upside down until...,

Halora found herself startled as she widened her big, round eyes.
