Chapter 30 - 30: Angel In Disguise

"I am sorry for what happened earlier. I... I never noticed him entered the mansion and so I didn't expect it to happen! For heaven's sake!"

Zenith couldn't still believe what happened in the shower room an hour ago. She wanted to disappear if she was in Hermione's place.

But instead of blaming Sebastian, Halora covered her face in chagrin. She wished to be seen by her future husband during their honeymoon but things happened differently.

"I don't want to see him for now, Zenith. I.... I felt too ashamed!"

"I don't think he will agree with that. You know that he is a bad boy, and he can do whatever he wants to do!" She reminded her of the truth and it saddened Halora.

She kept it for almost sixteen years but in a snap of her fingers, it was taken away from her.

Halora stared at the lemon juice on the table. They were on the veranda after the incident, and Zenith sipped the glass of juice while looking at the girl in front of her.

The cold breeze has blown away their hair. Halora suddenly touched and looked at her chest. She said, "Did he saw my chest, didn't he?"

It was a mischievous question but to stop her from overthinking. Zenith replied, "I think he didn't saw it completely! I mean... I mean your body touched against him and that means that it was pretty hard for him to look at your chest."

"You are right, and I think Sebastian never wished to see my body as well." Despite the embarrassment she felt, Halora reached for the glass of lemon juice and drank all of it.

She then looked at Zenith who shrugged her shoulders and held Halora's hand.

Both of them knew that their relationship wasn't perfect at all. When Halora entered La Milanosa Academy, Zenith and Sandra bullied her but when they were promoted to 9th Grade, Zenith stopped her wrongdoings and changed her circle of friends.

"About what happened years ago, I am sincerely asking for your forgiveness. I'd never been a good, kind fellow student to you but I had changed now, I promised."

"You don't have to do that, Zenith. Since then, I had no choice but to accept the truth and forgive all the people who degraded, underestimated, and hurt me. And that's the reason why I never had the chance to enjoy my high school days."

Memories flashed back upon reminiscing it. If there were a student who never enjoyed her high school days, it would be Halora.

She never felt the excitement every first day of class, nor the activities that were annually happened on the campus.

Zenith felt sorry for what she has done. She knew she was once a spoiled brat who only wanted to laugh at the poor, filthy students.

But things turned upside down when she heard that her cousin, Sebastian had transferred to the school where she was studying.

She was afraid that he might reputation other people. Zenith squeezed Halora's hands softly, she never imagined that they would be real friends after what happened.

"You are forgiven, Zenith. Despite the things that you did to me, I had chosen to forgive, and forget those painful memories. As the wind has blown away, I wished that the anger in my heart will be drifted by it and should be replaced with kindness and forgiveness."

Halora looked intently into her eyes. She knew that forgiving those people who had hurt her in the past was the best thing to do. After all, she only yearned for a happy, and simpler life.

Zenith stood up from her seat and gave her a tight, genuine embrace. Until Halora realized that she was silently sobbing while rubbing her back.

"Shh, don't cry now Zenith. Your make-up might be ruined by tears!"

"Let it be, I just... I just want to thank you. Not for forgiving me easily, but for opening my eyes and bringing me to righteousness! You're an angel in disguise."

She told Halora with a wide smile on her face. Zenith never imagined things like this. She never felt how it feel to be treated that way in front of the crowd. That's why, it was easy for her to hurt, and laugh at other people.

"Halora," someone spoke from behind.

Zenith narrowed her eyes and replied, "What are you doing here? Leave her alone for now, Sebastian! She's still processing what happened earlier!"

She tried to push him away but a bad boy was a bad boy. He spoke like a gangster, he moved like an action star and no one has the right to dictate to him what to do even his cousin.

Sebastian ignored her. He was looking at Hermione's eyes until he succeeded. "Can we talk for a moment?"

"I said go away! Can't you get it, huh?"

Halora took a heavy breath and replied, "It's fine Zenith. Perhaps he has something important to tell me."

"Shut your mouth up, Zenith!" He told her, emphasizing every word he said. "By the way, Uncle called earlier and he was looking for you. Hurry up before I tell him what you did years ago."

"Shut up before I confess to Halora about your beloved crush!"

Halora looked at him and she saw his eyes sparkled upon remembering his crush. She knew she wasn't sure yet about her feelings but her heart had stopped beating while looking at the boy in front of her.

Zenith waved her hands on her as she walked away from them temporarily. Sebastian looked at her back, "Hurry up! You're getting into my nerves now!"

"Damn you!" Zenith replied angrily. Until she finally entered the mansion. She was still wearing the school's uniform and hurriedly ran to the living room.

Until the smile on his lips vanished upon meeting her gaze. Sebastian pulled her arm closer to him and the next thing he did was astonishing.

"Se–Sebastian!" Halora stuttered and her eyes widened because of what Sebastian did.
