The sound of the vehicles passed through the busy, brick highway, the cold, soothing whispers of the wind, and the bright, radiant sunny day made everyone's day almost perfect and ideal.
Few of the passengers even chose to walk along the sidewalk because of the once-in-a-blue moonlight weather.
But after a couple of minutes, Sebastian took Halora to one of the most popular and expensive restaurants in the place. He didn't hesitate nor think twice about the place he wanted to be with.
As they entered inside, Sebastian took her hand and brought her to the vacant table just near the window. It was his favorite spot until a crew came and waited for their orders.
But since Halora was innocent, the first timer on that place, Sebastian ordered the food for them while Greg went back home.
"Just like my usual orders please." He mumbled as he gave the menu to the crew. "Two glasses of water is enough." He added.
"I'll be back in a couple of minutes, Young Master." The crew replied and quickly went back to the kitchen.
Silently, Halora observed how rich people eat gold-like dishes. She gulped, peeked around until the crew walked closer to their table that fast.
"Here's your order, Young Master. If you need anything, please call me right away. Enjoy eating!"
"I will. Thank you for your hard work!" Sebastian looked at him with a smile on his lips.
By then the crew bowed his head before leaving. He looked nervous but at the same time honored to serve a rich, handsome young man.
At that moment, she secretly watched how he interact with other people outside of the campus. Halora slowly discovered his other personality other than being a badass and bad boy.
But because of distractions, fear, and ignorance, Halora hesitated to touch the food that was being served earlier.
"You haven't touched your food." spoke the young man who seated in a fancy chair near the glass window. He put aside the knife and pork, took the glass of water, and sipped it. "Start eating or else I'll be leaving by myself if you don't want to be by my side." He added.
Halora bit her lower lip as she glanced up to the ceiling and chandeliers. She was astonished by the expensive, grandiose figures inside of the popular restaurant in the City.
"I... I can't bear to ruin it, Seb. By simply looking around this place, I couldn't feel the emptiness in my stomach. I feel like I've eaten a lot because of the conciliatory ambiance it gave to me."
"And I don't think I can afford to pay it." Her voice turned low and meager. She gulped, caressed her empty, desolated stomach for a second.
Classical music had stopped playing until her stomach sounded loudly enough that caught other people's eyes. They started to gossip, meaning a stare was thrown at her.
Sebastian noticed how they judged and made fun of Halora. Through their sarcastic, scathing judgments, he stood angrily and looked at them one by one.
"Stop staring at her like that if you don't want to be kicked out from my restaurant!" He said that made the people around speechless and terrified.
They couldn't believe that at such a young age, he owned a fancy, popular restaurant. "Y– you own th– this place?" Halora asked him as nothing happened.
Her eyes glowed, twinkled because of the truth. She never imagined that despite his family wealth and heritage, he worked and built his own business for the future.
But instead of answering her question, Sebastian grabbed her arms closer to his chest. His mood changed suddenly that bothered her at the moment.
His eyes filled with coldness, anger, and wrath. He looked like a beast who was tamed by the enemy. And now that he was ready to transform, they all turned around and retreated cowardly.
But the crew who served the foods earlier followed them and said, "Young master! Young master!"
"Forget about it! Next time don't let those kinds of people eat in my restaurant, do you understand?"
"Y– yes, Master! B– but before you leave, please take this with you. I know you haven't eaten it all so I prepared this for you and your girlfriend." He smiled at Halora as he thought she was his girlfriend.
A sweet, sudden smile flaunted to his dark, creepy face. Sebastian looked like a psychopath every time he's with her. Gratefully, he took the paper bag and carried it while he held Halora's hand.
They looked like a sweet couple who walked away from that restaurant. They went straight to the parking lot as Greg waited for them after he came back from Woo's mansion.
"Let's go to the airport, now!"
"But you have still enough time to walk around, Young Master!" Greg sounded surprised and confused. He thought they would stay a little bit longer before the scheduled time.
Sebastian said no words as he opened the door for her. He gasped, waited for a second until Halora was seated on the passenger's seat.
The windows were closed so she didn't hear what they talked about outside of the car. They looked serious about it but abruptly, Greg entered inside and a peal of loud laughter filled around.
"You are truly out of your mind since that day, Young Master."
Greg and Sebastian laughed together along the way to the airport. On the other side, Halora leaned back her head, listened to their voices until she fell asleep.
"She's sleeping now," said Greg through the mirror. He turned his head sideways and saw how closer Sebastian looked at her soft, scarlet face.
Instead of distracting the bad boy, he stayed quiet and drove slowly. He turned on the stereo as old songs were being played back.
Slowly, Sebastian took off the eyeglasses that covered and hid her natural beauty. He gulped, took a heavy whiff, and stared at her peacefully.
"You're like hidden gold bars in an ancient tomb, Halora. Why are you hiding behind these eyeglasses? Behind those simple, old–fashioned clothes? Why is it you're letting the entire universe despise and forget about you?"
His hands trailed off to her cheeks, caressed them gently before she woke up. And by that moment, Sebastian felt like he was home with someone he has been waiting for so long. His heart filled with happiness and joy urged him to move his head closer to her face.
He then closed his eyes, tried to stop his emotions but Halora's crimson lips tempted him. "Forgive me, but I... I have to do this." He whispered as the warm sensation doused his sanity.
