A strong, unstoppable energy meddled between Roy and Sebastian. No one dared to waste the moment to let the world know who was the strongest man among the rest.
"It's none of your business." he growled. "Why don't you follow my cousin, take good care of her, protect and save her like what you did to Halora." Roy moved his face closer to him.
He wanted to punch his face but he controlled the anger that almost poisoned his sanity.
But Sebastian didn't stop. He chuckled, rubbed his chin gently, "You are harassing a girl and she's one of my businesses if you are not aware." He replied as he put an emphasis to every word he said.
He quickly looked away from his gaze, walked closer to Halora and asked her if she was hurt.
"D– don't worry about me a– anymore! T– there's a misunderstanding, because the truth is... I was just fooling Roy around and didn't know that you were around and misunderstood everything."
"W– what did you say? A misunderstanding?" His voices rose, gritting his teeth like a lad who saw his crush with someone else. He wanted to shout at her, but instead of hurting her, Sebastian turned around on her angrily.
On his way, he kicked off the leaves as he whispered that scared her to death, "Damn it! A misunderstanding?"
She felt awful for what had happened. Halora wanted to create some good vibes but she didn't expect it to be a complete misunderstanding.
"Sebastian, please let me explain!" Her voice echoed around but he continued and acted like a deaf.
"Halora!"
"Halora!"
"It was all my fault," she said.
"Shh don't say that! It's not your fault and you shouldn't have to explain yourself to that bad boy!"
Roy rubbed her back and hoped it would ease the guilt she felt. He put aside the dried weeds, calm her down for a couple of minutes.
By then, Halora bowed her head, looked down to the ground and remembered about the firing woods needed. She quickly turned around until she accidentally stepped into the big rock that hid on the dried leaves.
She screamed, opened her mouth widely when she caught off guard and fell into the ground. "Aww my back!" She said, closed her eyes while Roy helped her to stand.
"Do you want to take a short break? You looked tired, Halora."
"N– no! I need to watch the sunset and if I will stop right now, I can't complete the task that was given to me."
Eagerly, Halora looked intently into his eyes. She wanted to complete every task as it was part of the trip. She would always keep in mind that she owed a lot of people behind the school's staff who gave her a chance to be one the greatest scholars.
Roy surrendered and raised his arms. He then bent low his knees, took all the dried weeds and he said, "Let's go, they must be waiting for us."
With a short smile on his lips, he led the way to the plantation of mangoes and apples. Sebastian and Sandra went first to the area as they started to make a bonfire near to the trees.
As what the elders and farmers said, smoke that came from the branches, dried weeds and wild plants is one of the best way to make a tree abundant with fruits. It shoved away all the insects and animals that pestered the tree and ate all of the fruits.
Minutes had passed, Roy saw Sebastian stood right beside Sandra. He was seriously watching his cousin, picking some mangoes and apples as he noticed a bowl of ashes on the ground.
"Roy!"
"What took you so long? Sebastian and I almost picked everything now!" She said, smiled over her shoulder as the tree was only an inch taller than her. "Halora! Come here and help me pick up some mangoes too!"
Without a doubt, Halora shook her head and ran into their way. Fortunately, she wore a comfortable plain mustard v–neck knitted top and paired it with a black, denim short.
"Be careful!" For one, last time, Roy reminded Halora to watch every step she would be taking. "How I wish this entire trip is over! Because the longer I stay with that badass, the more likely to be provoked!"
Angrily, he looked at Sebastian who was staring at Halora's thighs. He cursed, walked fast like a mamba snake with a closed fist.
However, before he could punch his face, Sebastian walked into the next mango tree and there was a huge basket on his hands.
Lazily, he picked few of the fruits that was easy to get while his mind traveled back to the past.
"I hate seeing his face! It makes me feel nauseous!" He murmured and talked about Roy who would always start a fight with him. "I can't wait to go back to the campus and beat him to death."
But, little did he knew, Roy was standing behind him, listening to every word he had said.
"Ahem!" Roy cleared his throat, pretended to be an innocent who heard nothing but the whispers of the wind and birds chirping. "Since you picked a lot of manhoes and apples, why would take a short break and eat some if it, what do you think, San?"
"Hmm that's a great idea!" She smiled, looked at Halora for a second. "What's we're waiting for? Let's go and assemble the tent!"
Excitement drawn to her face that urged her to be jolly and grabbed Halora's hand abruptly.
They both led the way to the perfect spot while the two boys walked silently without any conversation. But before they reached the said area, Roy put the basket of mangoes, blocked the way that infuriated the bad boy.
"What are you doing?" He asked him, narrowing his eyebrows as he had lost his patience. "Don't act like an immature campus heartbreaker in front of us again!"
"What did you say? I am an immature campus heartbreaker?"
Roy failed to control the rage within. His voice echoed around but luckily, the campus bad boy left him without a word but only a sarcastic, sudden wink.
