The heavy rain didn't stop pouring to the wide private farm. The sky became too vague, darker as it was used to be after the full moon. There were no stars, no light that came from up above.
The weather quickly changed, from warm to cold as it brought inconvenience to all the people who hated it.
But for Halora, she thought the rain stopped when she felt nothing anymore that fell from the sky. She giggled, put her hands on her chest, and slowly opened her eyes.
"I am still lucky," she said. "Someone finally granted my wish after failing thousands of times."
Her shaky voice filled with happiness without any idea. Someone just came to save her from death and that was–
"S– Sebastian?"
Frighteningly, she uttered his name when she saw his face. She couldn't believe that he would find her by himself. "Sebastian!"
"I heard what happened but we can't leave the place this time." He said coldly, bent his knees low, and helped her to lean back to the log. "How's your foot?"
His face was an inch away from her face. She gulped, covered her mouth when she remembered that she didn't brush her teeth earlier.
She was embarrassed that she might disappoint him and leave her alone like what Sandra did to her.
"Hold it tightly. I will give you first aid to lessen the pain, do you get me?"
"Y– yes!" she replied, turning her head to the left and avoided his deep gaze.
For a couple of minutes, they stayed focus and quiet. No one dared to talk while Sebastian gave her first aid as the rain became heavier than before.
The surroundings became wet, the leaves and ground filled with cold water that urged her to embrace herself.
"Woah! It's too cold!" She murmured, but he didn't utter a word.
Halora sealed her mouth when she felt a soothing sensation on her foot. It helped and lessened the pain she endured for a couple of hours.
And for the final treatment, Sebastian put a hard, long plastic that supported her foot and ankle. "It's safer than plastic." He broke the long silence between the two of them.
"T– thank you for helping me. It means a lot to me, Sebastian."
"Don't owe me anything. You need help and so I am here right now with you." He said, reached for the black, huge umbrella. "Let me hold it until the rain stop."
Halora awkwardly gave him back the umbrella that protected them from getting wet. She then rubbed her hands, blew warm breaths that gave her body a low leave of heat and warmness.
"The night is too cold, isn't it?" She looked at the wet ground and raindrops that fell into the vulnerable leaves before her. "And you courageously came here because of some reason, am I r– right?"
Instead of answering her question, Sebastian took a deep sigh, took off the leather jacket he was wearing, and put it on her shoulders.
And without her approval, he quickly grabbed her hands, held them tightly as she felt safe and warm.
"Y– you don't have to do th–"
"I insist, so you better stay still, relax your ankle, and don't argue with me anymore. Did I make myself clear, Halora?"
His blue, strong pair of eyes stuck with her eyes. They looked at each other for seconds, until it lasted for a couple of minutes and no one had the gut to interrupt such a beautiful moment.
Sebastian slowly put her hand on his chest, breathing deeply, and listened to the soothing sound of the rain. "I'm sorry for coming l– late! I... I know this is all my fault as I let Sandra fool you again!"
"I know she planned everything and pretended that both of you had lost!"
"W– wh– what a– are you talking about? She can't do that to me as she promised me!" Her voice rose out of dismay she felt towards Sandra.
She looked away, but he held her chin and forced her to face him again. "I don't want to force you. But if there's something she said about us, it's a pure white lies."
"Liar!" She scowled, hit his chest as hard as she couldn't hold it back anymore. Because of pain and weariness, Halora had lost control of her emotions. "You are a liar and why would I trust you? You are a popular, handsome bad boy who doesn't even care about poor girls!"
"I cared about you!" He said, trying to calm her down.
But Halora didn't stop. She shook his head in disbelief, pushed him away from her. "No! You only cared about yourself! You are a selfish human being if no one ever told you that before!"
Sebastian chose to be silent and waited for her to calm down. He poured the fire with sand instead of water as it slowly fading without troubles.
As the night became darker and colder, a long silence took over. No one dared to speak as they watched and listened to the sound of the heavy rain.
Sebastian looked at his wrist watch, then he sighed heavily as they needed to wait longer until the sunrise appeared.
"Damn it! I won't let you slip away this time around, woman! Wait for me, wait for me, Sandra!" He thought.
Secretly, he turned his head, stared at Halora who calmly watched the ground peacefully. He knew something bothered her yet, she was afraid to confront him and know the truth.
"I'm sorry!"
"I'm sorry!"
They said in chorus as they looked at each other's eyes once again. Halora gaped, held her breath while he cupped her right cheek, caressed it gently as he wiped out the dirt off of her bace face.
She sighed, blinked her eyes for countless times. "I... I am sorry for what I've said earlier! I... I was carried away with my emotions–"
"I know, and it's fine." He cut her off that brought her what ifs abruptly. "Move closer, the rain is pouring too hard."
Sebastian told her coldly. His left arm trailed off to her back, waist and suddenly moved her body beside him effortlessly.
"Hmm, this is great. Isn't it?" He asked.
But Halora was mesmerized by his sweet actions. For that moment, she owned the time with him and felt the tenderness of his body that streamed into her soul.
