Chapter 127 - 127: Running Away From Someone

Pain devoured her entire system the exact moment she heard everything. Her round, brown eyes slowly turned reddish as tears fell into her rosy cheeks.

Halora wanted to be vanished in front of him, and his parents but her feet seemed glued to the ground. Her heart beated too fast, loud and deafening that left her with no choice but apologized and gave back his phone.

Her body trembled in fear the moment she ran away from him. She could hear their loud voices, deep breaths and heartbeats in every step she has made.

"Don't look back! Don't look back, Halora!" As she ran too fast, she forced herself not to turn around, but still, she ran straight to the mansion's tall gate and quickly went out by herself.

However, when she reached the peaceful street, she stumbled upon and her knees feel into the ground. She screamed silently when she felt something to her knees.

Halora continued to cry while she checked out her knees. It was bleeding as he got a small bruise and abrasion to her left knee.

Unfortunate as it was, she didn't bother the wound she got a few seconds ago. She quickly walked away from the mansion despite the pain she had felt that almost made her numb.

"Ahhh!" she stopped in the middle of the street, touched her knee for a second, hoping that it might be heales soon. "You can do it, come on, Halora!"

She talked to herself while she strived to run away from Sebastian. It was not easy for her to know the truth, to hear what he truly feel for her.

Until she heard a loud, alarming car approaching. She knew it was him, and before he could find her, Halora looked around and saw a big tree with gigantic roots few stes away from her.

Without any thought, she desperately hid at the back of the roots, covered her mouth and held her breath.

She was afraid to see him, talk to him, listen to his deep, just voice and his alluring blue eyes. For now, Halora just wanted to be alone, she doesn't have to be with someone else who would comfort her lonely soul and shattered heart.

At the moment, a white sportscar suddenly passed by the big tree found at the right side of the street. Halora breathed deeply as finally, Sebastian has failed to find her.

"Huh, huh..." she chased her breath, slowly stood up and looked at the dark place around. "I should have let the taxi driver wait for me."

Regret drawn on her face as she needed to walk for how many meters before a taxi came. But she hoped that there was at least one of them tonight and fetch her from the wide, exclusive village.

Halora slowly took steps to the guard's house to ask some help. Her feet was swollen when she suddenly stepped into a small thing on the ground.

"Aw!" he exclaimed, seated at the wide, cold street as she endured the pain by herself. She stopped crying, wiped her tears away and she tried to think of a better way. "I could finally feel the weariness after a while."

Little did she knew, a black car stopped from a distance because she blocked the way. She has no idea what she did not until a good looking young man went out from the car.

He was tall, white, and handsome. His alluring emerald eyes, thick eyelashes that had matched perfectly to the shape of his face.

His shaggy, black hair rested on his mid shoulder that looked better to him.

"Maybe you need this, Young Lady." spoke the young man who stood in front of her. He was wearing a dark blue jacket, underneath it was a white shirt that made him more cool on his own way.

Halora widened her eyes, held her breath and slowly lifted her head. She wasn't sure of the deep voice that echoed around and repeated countless times in her ears.

Not until she looked up at above and realized that a handsome, tall man offered her a white, fragrant hankie.

"A– are you talking to me b– by any chance?" she asked him, pointed out herself as she might be wrong and too assuming.

The young man chuckled, rubbed the back of his head and he replied, "And who would it be if it's not you? Come on, Young Lady, get up from the ground, move aside and wipe your face with this. Before my mind change..."

As quick as it was, Halora stood from the ground despite the pain she felt. She smiled bitterly, took the hankie from his long, perfect hand without a blink of an eye.

In other words, Halora was completely embarrassed and amazed by the man's good looking face. He looked like a demi God who came down to Earth to look for his long lost wife.

"I... I'm sorry for causing such trouble! I... I was just waiting for a taxi but still, no one came."

He looked at her perfect set of teeth and her genuine smile that made his heart skipped a bit.

He gasped, cleared his throat and he replied, "Get into the car and I'll drive you home." he coldly said and walked into the car that was parked few steps away from her.

Still, Halora didn't move as she thought she might be hurt along the way. It was not easy to trust people around but, she was left with no choice.

"Are you going to stay here all night long or you'll get into the car, right now? Well, I let girls decide for themselves."

"W– wait! I... I am coming with you, Mister!"

Halora swallowed her pride. She surrendered as she was eager to get home but she knew, Sebastian was on his way to the place.

And to avoid from him the entire night, she planned not to go home until midnight but she remembered that she forgot to bring her wallet with her.

"What are your waiting for? Fasten I'm your seat belt now!" The man coldly said as she remembered Sebastian suddenly.

But Halora shook her head, fastened the seat belt silently as he told her to seat beside him.

"Tell me your exact address–"

"N– no! I... I mean, I don't want to go home yet!"

She sighed, looked at the road in front of her until he caught a glimpse of her and he said, "I know you're running away from someone, but as you said so- take a rest and I'll take you somewhere that is peaceful." he told her with a short smile on his crimson lips.
