Chapter 134 - 134: Back To School II

"You're the best, Halora! How did you ever did that thing in five minutes, for heaven's sake?" Roy was in the middle of shock and everyone inside of the classroom.

They checked every sentence that she wrote on the white board and all of them was perfectly constructed and correct.

Halora shrugged her shoulders, bowed her head as she said, "Don't tell anyone that I read a book about our lesson for today earlier in the library."

"And you read all of those examples in the context, right?"

She shook her head in disagreement, stooped to him while Mr. Yang checked her answers. "Only five and the rest just suddenly came out from my mind."

To his surprise, Roy clapped his hands and it was the exact moment when Sandra arrived late at the room. She rolled her eyes, walked straight to her seat when she noticed that no one ever looked at her.

Roy told Halora to sit down when Mr. Yang hit the table in front of him. He was breathing heavily, looked at Halora for a couple of minutes until of the boys asked him.

"W– what do you think about her answers? Is everything is correct?"

Mr. Yang shook his head, and wished to be vanished from the place where he stood at. He never thought that a brilliant, intelligent student was one of his students and among others, Halora shone too bright.

He gasped, took steps to the Halora and he said, "Give her a round of applause. She's completely a genius!"

Everyone hailed and praised Halora for being top one in all subject. She loved studying and it was one of her promises to her late parents.

"Before I leave, I just want to inform you regarding the last examination that will be held in this classroom too after a short vacation due to mandatory holidays.

We, all teachers of the school will be choosing ten students with real potential and all of them have a chance to study abroad without spending any cent from their own pocket."

Sandra rolled her eyes when she saw Halora listening to Mr. Yang attentively. She smirked, thought of something that will sabotage the upcoming examination.

She smiled, crossed her legs gracefully while others paid attention to their teacher's announcement. It has nothing to do with rich student like her and she thought that it was just for all poor students who couldn't afford to enrol to other schools next year.

"I don't think we need that thing because we have a lot of money to sustain our needs and studies. And for sure, Dad will spare me for not being so smart daughter of him." said Chloe with sarcasm on her voice.

The rest of them laughed hardly until Sandra banged the armchair that caught their attention, gulped countless times as the Queen was left behind.

"Can you stop murmuring? My head hurts because I didn't sleep well last night!" she scowled.

As quick as the money go to waste, Sunny rubbed her back, smiled sarcastically and she whispered to her ears, "Tell us everything that happened during your trip. Pretty please... please, Sandra–"

"Shut up! I'm not in the good mood to narrate everything you want to hear!"

Sunny, Garry and Chloe pouted, leaned back to their chairs disappointingly. They remained silent as the Queen looked at them angrily, rolled her eyes until it moved circular continuously.

"For more information, you can visit the school's bulletin located at the main entrance. If you some inquiries, feel free to ask any of the teachers. Understood?"

"Yes!"

"Alright, class dismissed. See you tomorrow." Mr. Yang said, brought all his things and the paper from Halora's desk.

However, their second teacher was absent due to fever and cough. But, she told one of her fellow teachers about the activity that the entire class must be completed before the short break.

Roy stood out from his chair without telling anyone even Halora. It was a secret thing between him and Sebastian as he promised that he won't tell Halora about the sad, bad news.

The moment he reached the empty hallway, he took his cellular phone from his pocket, opened the messages that sent by his rival that became his ally.

"He'll be absent this afternoon because of his grandfather who rushed to the hospital last night." he said, turned it off and thought about Halora.

Sebastian told him that he can't make it after class. His grandfather needed him the most and he couldn't afford to lose him at this point of his life.

"I need to tell her right away!"

Only he thought that Halora didn't know anything about Sebastian's strange actions lately. He took a deep, long sigh, caressed his temple as he never thought that things would be complicated and out of control.

He surrendered, he gave up the love he have for her because it was the right thing to do but it turned different from what he expected.

As he went back to the classroom, Sandra noticed that he looked bothered and mentally absent.

She smirked, her brow furrowed until he called his attention and asked something obvious. "A– are you happy?"

Roy ignored her question and seated back to the chair behind Halora. He couldn't get rid of the thought of his best friend's pitiful reaction everytime she heard terrible things that happened to the campus bad boy.

If only he found her first, transferred earlier to La Milanosa Academy before Halora met Sebastian, everything shouldn't be complicated by now. He should have the one who saved, protected her from anyone especially from his vicious cousin, Sandra.

"Roy! Roy! Can you hear me? I'm talking to you." Halora sang it as she had been waving her hands in front of him. "What's wrong? You looked pissed off and annoyed."

"N– nothing! And can you please stop singing, it irritates my well being."

And that moment, he felt a real, hard palm on his chest. He chuckled out of the blue, called Halora and said sorry yet, his best friend rolled her eyes and pouted her lips.

"Both of you just ruined my day!" she said, crossed her arms that made Sandra smiled mischievously and came up with another harsh plan.
