Chapter 201 - 201: A Moment Of Truth

Darkness devoured the bright, blue sky in a snap of someone's fingers. Strangely, the birds that lived around the trees fled away from one place to another.

The wind turned cold and strong as if there was a new low pressure that reached the country's borders. Sinister sounds echoed the entire place that brought fear to Halora.

She nervously walked into the window, closed it quickly before something bad transpired. "Huh! The night became too odd and dangerous!" she murmured, then closed the curtains that made her safe and sound.

For a couple of minutes, she leaned back to the wall, closed her eyes and took a deep, long breath. It was a tiring day for her, seeing Sebastian in pain shattered her heart into pieces.

"I don't know what's going on, but I felt something wrong with me!"

Pale lips, trembling knees and bothered soul, made her weak and peeked at somewhere distant. Halora has no idea what happened to the bad boy but his body filled with dark bruises and long abrasions..

She gulped, took steps slowly closer to the young man who was peacefully sleeping on her bed. His dry, pale lips and face filled with small cuts upset her.

Tears shone on her eyes but she held it back, stopped right before him as she said, "Take a rest for now, Sebastian…," she paused, bent her knees and knelt on the floor. "I am afraid to know who really I am. I… I can't bear to see you in pain when the right time comes for the both of us."

These past few days, since Damara and her adherents appeared out of nowhere, every night there was a woman in her dreams calling her 'My Queen, please come back with us.'

She was wearing a white long dress like a goddess. Her curly, golden brown hair was braided perfectly and decorated with a halo of flowers. But her face was blurred and hard to recognize that piqued Halora's interest.

"I've been asking myself since my parents died, but I didn't get an answer until I found the ring that night. It changed my life, and it's slowly revealing my true identity and past life."

Unknowingly, tears dripped down into her rosy cheeks. She was caressing his hair while letting the heavy weight find its way to flee from her chest.

Halora cried in silence and stared at his bright, perfect face. Her hands slowly crawled from his hair down to his pointed nose and jaw- dropping jawline.

After all that took place since the first day, she could now say that she was madly in love with him. That she was willing to take the risk, sacrifice herself if needed.

And Halora believed that loved would conquer everything even if it was impossible to reach. "Is it possible that I am a…," she paused, took a deep breath for a second. "that I am a witch just like my mother?"

A cold, whistling wind suddenly blew up her hair and almost drifted away the curtains that was attached to the wall. She couldn't either believe that it happened too fast after she said those words.

Halora slowly stood up, holding back her breath. She turned around the entire room, feared that someone might took the situation for granted.

Until she heard a loud noise downstairs that brought her back to reality. "What was that noise?" she murmured, touched and embraced herself at the moment of truth.

BOGSH!

BOGSH!

The disturbing noise continued until she found enough courage within herself. Halora quickly cover Sebastian's cold body with a white, thick blanket and kissed his forehead.

She gasped, went into the closet and she took a long, sharp steel that she usually used when there was thief that tried to sneak into the house. "Stay here, Sebastian. I need to make sure that everything is under my control!"

Right then on, Halora fearlessly walked silently into the door while she grasped the sharp steel tightly. She looked different, after a long time of being a weak high school girl, she had finally learned how to fight and protect herself on her own.

As she walked through the slippery stairs, she noticed that the front door was left the same. "They must have used the other door in the kitchen!" she yowled, gulped in dread.

"HAHAHAHA! I KNEW IT! I KNEW THAT THIS HOUSE IS FILLED WITH ANTIQUE STUFFS!" said a man with a different tone of voice.

Halora was left speechless when she heard it clearly. She couldn't even move her feet and think how to get rid of the thieves.

But instead of going back to her room, she dauntlessly continued and walked downstairs. As soon as she reached the living area that was filled with more things, she quickly hid behind the wall that faced to the different direction.

"How about this one? Should I bring it too?"

"I said everything that can be sell! You slow-head scumbag!"

If she was not mistaken, he must be the leader of the group. His voice seemed familiar but Halora couldn't remember where she heard it first.

She said, "They'll be going upstairs! But I need to close the back door first!"

Halora didn't think that the thieves were armed with improvised weapons that could kill her in one strike. Instead of calling the cops, she chose not to disturb them at all.

As quick as the flash of lightning, Halora ran straight into the kitchen while the thieves were looking for more figurines. They had almost taken everything but before they went upstairs, they heard a noise that came from the back door.

The leader of the group gritted his teeth and he said, "Damn it!" he sighed, lifted his head and glanced up at two men before him. "Check it out! If it is the house's owner… kill her!" he commanded seriously and mercilessly.

"Yes, Alpha!" spoke the two men and rushed back to the kitchen hurriedly.

As soon as they reached the kitchen, the two men were left speechless and trembling when they realized that something was pricked on their arms.

"Forgive me, but I have to keep your mouth shut." said Halora and showed two packing tapes on her hands.
