Chapter 255 - 255: The End Of Darkness

~ Two hours after Seth was successfully captured ~

"How's Halora by now?" spoke Sebastian calmly.

Inside of a dungeon, there was a small cage that seized the enemy. If there's only a narrow space, it would hard for him to transform.

However, according to the original plan, they must take away the power that Seth stole back then. He should spit out a beast's power or else, death would chase him until the very end.

And Sebastian won't let a selfish werewolf blocked his way to the peak of victory. This time, humanity will win and they must rule the world with peace and unity.

If that thing happened, humans, werewolves, witches and wizards will have an indestructible connection that no one could ever break it.

That's the young alpha's plan before Damara attacked them scarcely.

"She's stable, Young Master. And according my men, Markus is protecting her with a woman. Unfortunately, we didn't have the chance to see her face." The man behind him spoke loudly.

"I'll take a look once we completed this mission."

Despite being afraid, he faced everything and dealt it in an elegant way. He would always use his cold charm that petrified the enemy easily.

The man behind took a deep breath before he told one more thing to him. "Young master!" he began.

It caught Sebastian's attention as he slowly turned around and looked plainly into his eyes. "Speak."

"I… I saw Damara in front of Halora's room earlier! Fortunately, an unknow man appeared that pushed her away from the place!"

A strange man? All out of a sudden?

Questions flashed into his head and tried to think about this strange man. If Damara was threatened by his presence, then he must be Halora's ally.

He gulped, closed his fists silently but he chose to stay still. "Damara can't kill Halora without someone inside of the group. There must be someone beside Halora who's only wearing a mask."

"Does it mean someone is gathering information and siding to Damara at the same time?"

"Yes, that's a strong gut feeling."

Sebastian must uncover the traitor's identity before it brought them to the brink of failure. He couldn't let his guard down while Halora was still recovering.

Instead of using his men's strengths and time, he chose to work by himself. Through it, the enemy won't be bother and will be remained as a spy.

"The doctor is here!" said Daren who escorted the doctor who knew how to take back everything from Seth's body.

"He knew what to do, Sebastian but I can't guarantee his loyalty."

Daren looked into the doctor while he prepared the syringe filled with blood of a human. It was the only way to stop him from hurting and killing innocent lives once he was drowned by his own emotions.

The doctor looked back as he asked for their permission, "Should I start the procedure, Young Master? Any moment from now, his strength will be back."

"Let him fall into a deep sleep before the last procedure." he murmured that convinced the doctor and agreed in the end.

However, before he entrusted it to an expert, Sebastian turned around on him and he said, "Once you're done, meet me in the hallway."

Daren widened his eyes but he quickly came back to his senses. He gulped, waited for the doctor's answer.

"Yes, I will, Young Master."

Deep inside, Sebastian felt a strong sensation that brought fear to his entire system. He wasn't sure where it came from but he must finish it no matter what.

After the procedure, he would bring the doctor to Halora and wipe away his memories to prevent casualties in the future.

But before that, Halora should wake up, once for all.

"Daren, come with me!"

Sebastian summoned Daren who seemed confused and bothered at the same moment. He wanted to bring back Seth but he didn't know if he would still accept him.

He sighed, followed the young alpha into the hallway filled with rocks and nothing.

He said, "I never knew there's a hidden dungeon in the middle of the forest! How… how did you ever uncovered these things, Sebastian?"

"I don't know either, but this is the perfect place to keep your friend away from those ignorant people."

"But when the sun rises again, what should I do?"

Daren knew it was a decision to merge with him, but it was also the best way to enlighten Seth's mind. That everything he did was nothing but a meaningless revenge.

But for the sake of humanity, he sacrificed himself more than thousands of people's lives who will vanished without other choice.

He never either thought that anger, hatred and resentment would bring someone into a deep, burning hell. He would be willing to do everything t attain his greatest aim even if it has no guarantee of victory at all.

"You have two choices, Daren. Either live a life of regrets or live a life of happiness and friendship."

For a moment, he was taken aback by Sebastian's proposals. He gulped, stepped back and listened to the deep sinister around.

He opened his mouth, blinked his eyes. "I don't know what to choose, but I am counting on you. After all, we were friends back then but because of me, a perfect bonding was destroyed and this is the only thing I can do to repay everything."

"You don't have to pay when you don't have debt, Daren."

"It was in the past and dwelling would drag us down to the ground until we kill ourselves. If you truly want to keep Seth, use your convincing power until you succeed."

A grown-up man like Sebastian would revenge for the things he'd lost back then. But a strong, wise man would choose to be naïve and pretend like a nobody that shine naturally when the right time comes.

Confusion drawn on the young man's face but Sebastian was right. He must hold on to the promises he made with Seth even how hard it is.

A bittersweet smile flashed on his face as he glanced up above the dark yet, starry night. It seemed strange but those twinkling stars were sign of hope and wisdom.

"This will be the end of darkness.." he whispered to the cold, odd wind.
