Chapter 26 - She’s Your Girlfriend?

Lin Yi always chose to go to the cafeteria when most of her employees were almost finished with their meals.

She liked eating there in her private room, as she didn't want to make others uncomfortable because of her.

However, when she arrived today, she realized that there were still many people in the cafeteria. Usually, many of the employees would've finished eating by then.

Unexpectedly, a man began walking in her direction.

Lin Yi knew him, he was the head of the Advertising Department. He was young, charming, and had a lot of potential in his career.

Pan Zi Ming stood before Lin Yi and immediately became cautious. She was beautiful, but no one in the company dared to act offensively in front of her.

In the past, someone wanted to gain her attention and acted obnoxiously. However, he was fired the following day.

Lin Yi wasn't someone who brought her personal feelings to work, but she figured that she didn't need someone so ignorant and cocky in her company.

Pan Zi Ming immediately realised that the President was unhappy.

"President, there's an assistant from the PR department who was threatening me. I..."

He didn't manage to finish his sentence but Lin Yi got the message.

She wrinkled her forehead and thought, an assistant threatening the head of a department? How did someone like that get into the company?

"Bring me there."

Li Tian stood beside Chen Ya Jing and was busy consoling her. He told her not to worry, and even if the President came, he wasn't scared at all. Chen Ya Jing kept quiet, but she was touched by Li Tian's actions.

Following this, they heard a voice.

"President, that's the assistant from the PR department. Everyone heard him threatening me."

Pan Zi Ming was like a kid who had brought their parents over to the scene after fighting with other kids. He had a smug expression on his face as he looked at Li Tian and Chen Ya Jing.

He thought, with Lin Yi's personality, Li Tian's bound to be a goner this time. If Chen Ya Jing's boyfriend becomes unemployed, why would she continue to be with him?

Pan Zi Ming was right. Lin Yi wanted to come over to verify if that assistant was really threatening Pan Zi Ming. If he was, then he would've lost his job.

However, as soon as she walked into the middle of the crowd, Lin Yi was shocked.

Did she hear about me working here? Is she here to make me work as a security guard?

Both of them stood in silence, but Chen Ya Jing who was standing at the side immediately ran to the President and tried to explain the situation. She told her that Li Tian only quarrelled with Pan Zi Ming because of herself, and asked for her forgiveness.

Pan Zi Ming was surprised. He didn't expect things to turn out this way. Isn't she going to fire Li Tian?

"Nonsense. President, believe me, he knows. He's been pestering Ya Jing for quite a while. Brother Tian couldn't take it any longer, which is why he admitted that he's Ya Jing's boyfriend. Actually, they've been together for some time now."

Pan Zi Ming knew that Ya Jing was already seeing someone but still continued to pester her. Lin Yi hated men like him. Even if he had a lot of potential, a guy with a personality like this wasn't fit to be in her company.

"President, I..."

"As for the two of you, come with me to my office!"

Lin Yi ignored Pan Zi Ming and turned around before speaking to Li Tian and Chen Ya Jing.
