Chapter 41 - Episode 41 - Assassination At The Royal Palace 11 ‘Her Resolve’

Episode 41 - Assassination at the Royal Palace 11 'Her Resolve'

"Aeselak!"

Dread crept over Aedelak like an icy chill, numbing her heart and body. Her feet, firmly lodged into the ground, unable to take a step forward. as she watched her sister slowly getting beat up, completely covering in dirt and blood. Aeselak's don't come over pose, constantly reminding her of making the right choices.

'Fine, Aeselak. You win.'

Muttering in a voice heartbreaking voice, she admitted defeat,

"What can I do after I save you anyways"

Deeply exhaling, she resolved herself. Her veins bursted, making her eyes bloodshot from holding herself back. To relieve her emotional pain, she un-clenched and re-clenched her fists, making her nails embed deep into her palms, physical pain bringing herself back to the state of neutrality. Without physical pain, she was afraid she would break down...

The possibility of both of them being killed by the dangerous man was 99%. Anyways, leaving for Aeselak now will only increase the possibility of everyone dying by ten folds. To restart herself, she closed her eyes briefly before reopening them, the scene of Aeselak not letting go of the old man once again enlarges in her eyes. Repeating the same action, she glanced over at the dangerous man…

'??'

'He looks distracted? No…Why does he look disgusted?'

Following his line of vision, it was as if he was in his own world, deeply thinking of something… humiliating? Unbearable.... Why?

In a second, the image of him spitting on the dead lady flashed into her mind. The way he talked about the dead lady. The way he looked at her was the same look he had when looking at Aeselak…. Was it that he disdained women? No.. He acted like that towards Lord Ron Graeme as well. Glancing over closely at Aeselak again, and then as if she realized something, she quickly glanced back at herself...

Was it this?!

Slowly stepping backward towards Louis, she motioned him with her hands while at the same time observing the dangerous man. Obviously this movement did not go unnoticed by the Crown Prince Ren and Ron Graeme who had been quietly observing both Aeselak and Aedelak, noticing the slight similarities between the two, somewhat afraid she would leave and save her sister, which might then anger the dangerous man into killing everybody in an instant. Yet, her actions of doing the opposite of stepping forward greatly surprised them!

"?...." (Louis)

"....." (Aeselak)

A few moments later..

Realizing Louis did not understand what she meant, she quickly turned to Louis, in a slightly bigger action, motioned him to give her the twins!

'No.. I understood that...But..'

"You…"

He trailed off, being unable to find any words to finish off his sentence because of her bloodshot eyes and bloodied palms from clearly holding herself back.

Noticing his odd reply, she inched closer to him and whispered, "I will protect the twins"

Backing off, not wanting to appear suspicious, she then pointed towards her necklace, and then to the dangerous guy, while observing Louis' eye movements to see if he understood her. Which was something she did not have to do, as he instantly understood what she meant as soon as she pointed towards her feminine necklace.

His upper lips slightly tugging upwards, Louis nodded towards her and then directed her to move further backward, handing her 2 struggling babies.

"..."

Deeply sighing seeing Louis' familiar mocking smile, she turned her attention towards the twins instead. Quietly patting the backs of the struggling curious twins in order to calm them down.

'Shhh'

Hearing the familiar voice of Aedelak immediately calmed the twins down. For Euria it was reassurance from Aedelak's previous heart-breaking voice and for Eugene, it meant everything will be fine. She knew Louis was smart, therefore handing them to Aedelak meant he had some type of plan. Clutching Euria's hand, to comfort her, they both lie low. Understanding that struggling might be a distraction; also knowing full well they were useless and burdens for everyone…
