Chapter 221 - Master Of The Veria Swordsmanship

Episode 214- Master of the Veria swordsmanship

Though it was not as bright as they wanted it to be due to the dark corners of the room, it was satisfactory for now.

"The sun is already up but it's still so dark here." Another comrade came in as he glanced around.

'Of course, it's dark.' Eugene thought quietly as she listened to the conversation. She was the one who tampered with the oil lamps on the corners of the room. If she hadn't done that, their shadow would be produced by the oil lamp and they would be caught in an instant! And of course, after she tampered with the corner lamps, she added herbs to the working lamps. This time, however, she doubled the doses so that their side could proceed smoothly.

"Alright, bring the girl in." Said one of the bandits who moved to the side to allow people to come in. Following his move, 20 people headed into the room without hesitation. These were people who looked to be on full alert, which means they were people who had yet to be affected by the herbs from around the base. The twenty people escorted Euria who was in the middle of these men.

"When will the teleportation portal open?" One of the bandits turned towards his comrade.

"In 20 minutes." The bandit glanced at his pocket watch before putting it back into his jacket.

The pocket clock looked shiny and expensive. There was no need to ask where the bandit had the funds to get such a watch as he probably robbed it off of some family. And unsurprisingly this bandit wasn't the only one to carry something expensive. In fact, everyone in the room was carrying an expensive item, whether it be jewelry or something practical.

They say the eyes show a person's past. But Eugene didn't have to look into the bandits' eyes to tell that each and every one of them has killed. This means, there was no need to exact mercy on these people.

Everyone in the room waited for 20 minutes. And in these 20 minutes, Eugene and Euria had met eyes once. There was a mutual understanding between the two which did not have to be conveyed through words.

In this silent room, a small light began to appear in the middle of the four green stones. The light began with a spark, then two sparks, and not a second later, a line of horizontal light could be seen. And that was all there was to the teleportation portal.

The moment the light appeared, Eugene's heart dropped as she immediately thought of her nightmare. The nightmare she had when she had camped in the forest with Ron. In her nightmare, the same light appeared and a figure with Euria went through the white horizontal line.

Just before despair could sink in, the bandits began to make their moves which snapped Eugene out of her thoughts. The bandits had their hands on Euria's shoulders to prevent her from moving but also to push her forward.

Naturally, Euria complied but only for the first few steps. After the first few steps, the bandits who were pushing Euria by her shoulders found themselves unable to move. And when the bandits turned to Euria, all they could see was her smile.

"Huh?"

"What did you-" Before the bandit could finish, he was stabbed. Who knew when Euria had taken his sword away, but by the time he realized it, he was already kneeling on the ground, unable to do anything.

This action alarmed all of the bandits in the room who instinctively reached for their sheath. However, the three men closest to Euria were already done and dealt with in a single eye blink. Euria's merciless execution was done so fast that it reminded everyone of who she really was. Euria Veria, the daughter of Levis Veria.

"What are you planning to do Miss? Is it not a bit too late to struggle?" One of the bandits said sarcastically as he moved forward. Naturally, he was scared, but what could he do but threaten Euria.

His sword was pointed at Euria who did not respond to his words and only took on the Veria swordsmanship base stance. Euria and the bandit stared at each other for 10 full seconds before dashing towards one another and striking each other.

The swords clashing with one another created a loud screech that made goosebumps crawled up everyone's arms. Obviously, everyone knew that this screech was a dramatic sound a normal person would not be able to produce. The bandits themselves knew that their comrade wasn't producing this sound which means the only person who was capable of producing this sound was Euria.

Every time Euria danced with her sword, her cut was Fatale, striking the person in front of her with no mercy. Not only that, the bandit who was fighting against her was not able to lay a single hit on Euria no matter what he did. And this was the beauty of training with the Veria swordsmanship style. The people who trained with the Veria swordsmanship style all had flexible legs, which meant they were able to react instantly to danger.

Within a single minute, the 4th bandit was on the ground motionlessly. Eugene watched as Euria went on to the 6th, and then 8th consecutively without a single breath wasted.

"Why! Why is it this easy for you?!" One of the bandits shouted. He sounded as if he was unwilling to believe that Euria was killing them off like cutting potatoes!

'Why?' Eugene watched the entire scene from above as her lips curved up. Because she is the real Eldest daughter of the Veria house. Fine, she was willing to admit that Euria was the oldest one in terms of sword fighting. This was because she was nowhere close to where Euria was with swordsmanship. Euria who put in more blood, sweat, and tears into training with the sword deserved this name more.

Her sword was incredibly beautiful and you could see a white shadow every time Euria swung her sword. It was deadly and matched with the person who was calm and only mercilessly killing the enemy off one by one.

The screeching sound that only Levis could do, Euria was able to produce. This meant that like Levis, Euria was a master of the Veria swordsmanship style. So who do the bandits think are to even attempt to fight Euria?

WHOOSHH-

The bandits were so concentrated in the fight to even notice arrows heading their way one after the other. The person who shot the arrows was Pelle who carried around a bow and arrows with her. But of course, after four people were shot down by these arrows, did the others finally react. They were able to pinpoint where the arrows were coming from when suddenly a figure jumped off from up high and dashed towards them.

"HUH?" Naturally, the bandits were shocked!

Euria and Pelle did not allow anyone to react and began attacking the bandits together. And within 5 minutes, all of the bandits were on the floor, every single one dead. Eugene didn't have to do anything and only watched from above.

"Are you not going to come down, Sister?" Asked Euria who glanced above as she wiped her sword clean.

"Yea…" Eugene responded as she watched Euria from above. Whatever Euria wanted to do in this room was her responsibility. What Eugene had to do was conserve as much strength as possible in order to successfully escape with Euria.

"Do you know how many bandits are in the base?" Eugene asked Euria who sat on the floor and closed her eyes.

"At least 100. But there are 80 left." Euria replied.

Eugene nodded before she turned to Pelle, "Move the body to one corner of the room."

Pelle nodded and did as she said.

Eugene watched as Euria sat, concentrating on something. After a while, she could see the air rippling around Euria and vibrating the more Euria concentrated. Rainbow particles were floating around the room and gathering above Euria. The room was silent and no one spoke. And the longer Euria sat, the more Eugene's instinct was telling her to run away from this room. Her heart had already dropped to the pits of her stomach as goosebumps began to crawl on her arm. There was no doubt that one wrong move from Euria will result in everyone dying in an instant.

Sweat trickled down Eugene's face the longer she watched. It wasn't only Eugene, Pelle also felt terrified with whatever Euria was doing when all of a sudden there was a knock on the door.

Eugene and Pelle, whose guards were up, twisted their heads towards the door instinctively. Pelle dashed to the front of the door and blocked it, preventing anyone from coming in.

The longer Euria took, the more knocks and panicked the people outside became.
