Chapter 20：Changed Sword Tower

Item 3: Construction blueprint for the Basic Slowing Tower. Unit price 200 gold coins, bound after purchase to be constructed in The Chaotic City it is purchased in. 

Description: Raising the level of Chaos' Core unlocks more items.

"I can directly buy Defensive Tower construction blueprints!" Li Hanqiang began to zoom around the Defensive Tower Shop. 

Including the 100 gold coins he just received, he now had over 182 gold coins. He had money in his purse and naturally would like to buy towers, but which one? 

Basic Arrow Towers were not that useful anymore. They had a high attack speed but their damage was negligible. 

Li Hanqiang paid the Arrow Tower no mind. Instead, he focused on the stats of Basic Cannon Tower and Basic Slowing Tower

Li Hanqiang had watched Gorgeous Banyue's livestream and had witnessed the power of the Basic Cannon Tower. Not only did it have a long range, but its area of effect damage was even more impressive. The only downside was that it could not attack air targets. It would be useless when meeting flying monsters. 

The Basic Slowing Tower could slow down a target's movement speed. When faced with the Old Black Pig, the Metal Skinned Boar King, or other such special monsters, it would definitely be effective. It was only a shame that its attack value was too low and would be ineffective against large groups of monsters. 

After thinking about it for a while, Li Hanqiang decided to go with the construction blueprint for the Basic Arrow Tower as it was the cheapest one. 

Li Hanqiang had no respect for the Basic Arrow Tower. However, he had the City Lord Passive Skill Tower Change, so how could he not utilize it? He should buy a cheap tower and try to change it. 

After buying the Basic Arrow Tower Construction Blueprint, Li Hanqiang was in no hurry to construct it and instead went to check out the Limitless Tower. 

The Limitless Tower was a basic building in The Chaotic City that allowed players to initiate various challenges. Based on the Chaos' Core' current level, there was only one challenge available, and that was the Gold Coin Challenge.

[Gold Coin Challenge: The Chaotic City Lord can spend ten gold coins to initiate this challenge. After the challenge is initiated, the Space-Time Wormhole will spawn endless waves of Gold Coin Monsters. Killing these monsters will grant bounded gold. The Gold Coin Monsters can also drain the energy from the Chaos' Core. When the Chaos' Core has lost all of its Chaotic Energy to the Gold Coin Monsters, the challenge ends. The Chaotic City Lord can also choose to end the challenge before the next wave of monsters spawns. The challenge may be initiated if the Chaos' Core has more than one Chaotic Energy stored within it. The challenge can be attempted once a day and during the challenge, adventurer players are unable to offer support. "This is clearly a method to gain gold, should I give it a go?" Li Hanqiang felt the itch to give it a go. 

Obviously, in this Gold Coin Challenge, the more firepower the Defensive Towers had, the longer they would last and the more gold they would gain. However, the monsters were endless and unless one opted to abandon the challenge, the natural outcome of this challenge was that the Chaos' Core' Chaotic Energy reserve would be depleted, despite how much gold could be collected. 

Without Chaotic Energy, nothing could be done. 

The Gold Soin Challenge could be attempted once a day, so who would not give it a go? 

To put it another way, the Chaotic Energy reserves in the Chaos' Core would be depleted once a day. Was this worth it? 

When he thought about this, Li Hanqiang could not help but curse Gorgeous Banyue. 

The City Lord Passive Skill Awakened Ability could increase the regeneration speed of Chaotic Energy. Now it seemed that this Passive Skill was extremely useful. During her livestream, Gorgeous Banyue had suggested that new players not pick this Passive Skill. She had misled her audience.

After the system notification, there was a rumbling noise. 

Li Hanqiang could see that the Basic Arrow Tower next to him began to grow taller and the top of the tower also began to change. The massive crossbow began to disappear and was replaced with a massive sword. This massive sword was bound at the hilt by four chain locks. Even if it could only attack a single target, that was still a damage of 80 per second compared to the Basic Arrow Tower's highest average damage per second. The only downside was its short range. 

"This is great!" Li Hanqiang felt as though he had reached the peak. He saw that there was one point of Chaotic Energy in the Chaos' Core and chose to immediately begin the Gold Coin Challenge. 

At the same time, over at the Chaotic City No. 12, Gorgeous Banyue had also begun the Gold Coin Challenge. 

"The Gold Coin Challenge is a City Lord's main stream of income for gold coins. With the firepower I currently have, I should be able to make a profit and may even be able to climb up the Challenge Leaderboard!" 

Gorgeous Banyue thought to herself, as a member of the private beta of Endless World and a major streamer, that she had a lot of confidence in herself. 

Of course, she was aware that there were definitely more good players outside of the streaming world. In those large guilds, there were definitely players who had more game knowledge, better luck, and more popularity than her. However, at this moment, she was probably still at the top. 

Gorgeous Banyue smiled. 

Looking at her Chaotic City, the Battle Corridor had three whole Basic Cannon Towers built next to each other. The 'Italian Cannons' on top of these towers with their orderly muzzles looked intimidating. 

There was also a Basic Arrow Tower standing alone in front of the three Cannon Towers, looking like their little brother. 

Suddenly, the Space-Time Wormhole opened and a large wave of tiny golden men poured out of it.
