Chapter 64: Good, good
"If she is barely conscious and coming on to you, you have to say no and make sure she is safe. A girl is not under any obligation to do what you want but you are obligated to listen to her. If she is unconscious after verbally saying yes, don't have sex with her because unconscious people can't give consent"
Max listened with rapt attention to what Jason had to say to him. They were so much rules but he needed to listen to remember everything.
"And you shouldn't be having sex or at the very least with a girl you don't like. It isn't fair to her or you. And yes, I should ask whether you used protection?" Jason asked and dimmed his eyes.
"Of course I did, I am not an idiot" Max had an exasperated face.
"I am going to give you a scenario and you will tell me what you would do in that situation. Are you ready?" Jason told him.
"Okay, if we must"
"So, a man finds a girl dancing and she is half naked in a night club waving her shirt in the air for everyone's amusement. It's obvious she is drunk and the man might have seen her go into a bathroom with a total stranger and he assumed they had sex. Somehow, this man takes this girl home because he couldn't leave her there. But when he gets home, this girl wants sex and she says it out loud that she wants sex. She takes off her clothes and the man obviously wants to. Max, if you are the man what would you do?" Jason asked him.
"She gave consent, right. She said yes" Max then was quiet for a second before he spoke again. He tried to remember what Jason told him but none applied to the scenario.
"But the man probably shouldn't. She is drunk and drunken people can't make a sound decision. The consent is invalid. Did I get the answer correct?" Max needed to know.
"You did, Max. And I am glad you did because the story was about your sister and me. And if I had done the opposite of what you answered I would have found out she was virgin and I would have ruined her life forever. And I would have gone to jail because of it. I won't have the life I have now. The drunk girl turned out to be the love of my life and it's only because I made the right decision" Jason wondered if he made the right decision telling Max about what happened in Canada once upon a time.
"I am glad you did because I like you, Uncle Jason. I would have hated it if I had to hurt you back for hurting my sister" Max told him in a shaky voice.
Jason liked that he was trying to be brave.
"So, think about that whenever you are with a girl. She is someone's daughter and sister too. She is a human being and you have the capacity to ruin or elevate her" Jason advised him.
"I should probably end things with Lara - she is the girl. It's the right thing to do and I probably shouldn't be having sex anyway. It's a lot of responsibility I am not ready for. And before you say anything, I will be respectful when I end things with Lara" Max told him and for the first time, he looked Jason straight in the eyes.
"Good. Now, let's go get pizza"
Jason weirdly enjoyed hanging out with the teenager. After, he dropped him off at the Donna residence, he drove back home to find Amazing, McKenna, Kara and Chike playing a card game. The game lasted five minutes more before everyone started saying goodbye.
"Are we still going to the hair salon, Auntie Maze?" Kara asked Amazing.
"You know it, girl! I will pick you up on Saturday" Amazing told her as she headed out the door.
Chike got to the door first but he held it open for Amazing.
"Will you take me to see Grandpa Jackson on Saturday too?" Kara's question made everyone in the room to stop.
Amazing seemed speechless "I...I..."
"Grandpa Jackson is probably busy on Saturday" McKenna was quick to add.
"Oh" Kara looked disappointed "Maybe some other time then. Good night, Auntie. Good night Uncle Chike"
Kara turned and walked up to her room leaving the adults behind.
McKenna stared at her sister. She was furious.
"Were you talking to Kara about Jackson Donna?"
"She brought it up at the arcade. I told her she has to ask you first. I mean, she is a smart girl. Smart enough to know that Jason doesn't want her to meet his father and you don't want her to meet Jackson"
Amazing was almost out the door when she turned and spoke again.
"A piece of advice, don't put your crap on her. James and Jackson might be assholes but maybe...just maybe they won't suck at been a grandparent" Amazing walked out the door.
Chike looked around like he was out of place. He was sure the Donna's and Yagazies didn't want him present as they aired their dirty laundries. He scratched his temple gently and made funny movement with his mouth.
"The card game was....I should go home. Bye" Chike closed the door behind him.
McKenna turned and looked at Jason. She had a frown.
"You don't think we are horrible parents for trying to keep our daughter away from horrible people?"
"Of course not...but Amazing might have a point. It's wouldn't hurt to make introductions, would it?" Jason suggested.
"Well, the thought of introducing our kid to a man that abandoned me pretty much my entire life is not nauseating at all" McKenna said sarcastically "But Amazing is right. Kara needs to meet both awful men but we are not leaving our baby with either of them without a supervisor. I am insisting on it"
"Of course" Jason answered her "And the supervisors doesn't necessarily have to be us"
McKenna laughed mockingly like he made a joke "I don't want to be in the same room with Jackson. I might be a parent but baby, I am no saint. How about we make our sisters do it"
Jason smiled broadly "You are a genius!"
"I know"
Jason wondered whether he should tell her about the news he got and after thinking about it extensively, he did.
"McKenna, The IRS is going after your father. Rumor has it that if he is convicted of tax evasion and money laundering he will go away for a long time. I am sorry"
"That is good news then but he is Jackson Donna and they won't find any prove" McKenna replied. She almost sounded proud.
"My source told me that IRS is trying to get their hands on a small note book that Jackson has hidden and only God knows where. It has all the evidence they need"
McKenna was worried but she didn't let it show.
Later in the night, McKenna took a shower while Jason worked on some documents on the laptop.
McKenna always loved a warm bath after a long day and today, definitely counted as one. The only victory she had was the happy look on Kara's face when she was told about the possibility of meeting both grandparents. She was over the moon.
Now, McKenna was sitting on a stool as she watched her reflection on a mirror.
"Oh, how did the talk go with Max?"
Jason closed the laptop to give his full attention to his almost naked alluring wife.
"Well, it went perfectly. If we ever have a son, I think I have the father-son thing locked down. I did not only get Max to agree to forgo sex for now and break up with Lara until he is at least old enough to drink a beer, I think he understands now the concept and how important verbal consent from a girl is. Please, call me superman" Jason grinned from ear to ear.
McKenna stood up from the stool and faced him. She moved seductively towards him. She slowly and seductively started to undo her bathrobe.
"You are superman. And I am your Lois" she started slowly dancing as she moved closer to him.
"Ooh! I love it when you dirty dance" Jason watched her curiously. He wasn't in a hurry to kiss her. He wanted to take in as much as the woman in front of him visually before physically.
"I know you do. You also love it when I talk dirty too. Do you want me as a sexy damsel in distress or...do you just want me to be a naked...horny slut with ropes" McKenna whispered.
Jason's eyes widened just a little bit "Do you mean...do I...do we get to start and finish number.... sixteen" his voice was a bare whisper.
"If you are a good....good boy, you might get to do number seventeen too" McKenna told him.
