Chapter 7 - Responsible For Your Bitterness

As soon as Eva left, Zeus glared at Czar intensely with a disgruntled expression. As if he was a bit offended with his naive gestures.

"We need to talk." Zeus firmly declared while ogling at him.

Czar was quite amused to see Zeus getting hyped up about Eva. With a foxy smirk, he nodded his head. "Go ahead," he answered.

"Why were you pestering her? Why were you dragging her in between our brother's conflict? She was already enough disturbed today for even taking away her own life! So why were you lying to her about saving--"

"Did it affect you? Aren't you too concerned about her?" Czar interrupted him sharply with a frivolous tone. His eyes were fixed on him during replying to him.

Zeus was getting impatient with his vague response and suddenly grabbed his shoulder before interrogating him further. "Czar, stop making me mad! Don't always get on my nerves with your stupid games." He sounded quite a menace while answering him.

Czar casually unleashed himself from his grasp and ogled at him for an instance. "I have never seen you getting hyped up for a woman, is she that special? Or you are just allured by her smell? You know I am quite possessive about my big brother." He winked at him cryptically and remarked.

Suddenly, Zeus's facial expression changed into a sad smile as he was gazing at him. "Don't pretend as if you love me, Czar... Deep down inside, I am well aware of your hatred towards me." He sneered poignantly at him.

Czar was startled a bit with his unexpected revelation and averted his gaze somewhere else. He desperately wanted to avoid eye contact with him as he was caught off guard. "What an absurd assumption." He replied.

Zeus stared at him for a moment and turned back with a heavy-hearted sigh. "It's not your fault though. You have gone through something too deplorable and I am also partly responsible for your miseries. No matter how much malicious you try to act before the world, I know it really well- it's not your true self, Czar. You were a kind werewolf before..." He responded to him with a glum voice and started heading back away from him.

"Hey, stop staring precisely at my heart like this! I can't stand unnecessary kindness from anyone! Don't you dare of showing empathy towards me, Zeus!" He yelled fiercely at him from behind while watching him leave.

Zeus didn't turn back and continued his motion at a slow pace.

"F*ck! He is accurate enough. From deep down inside, I hate everyone in the Romano pack. I hate myself for being part of the ruthless pack, that couldn't oppose the assassination of a helpless omega! I... I will never forgive anyone ever... And I will definitely surpass you someday, Zeus." His voice strangled with unbearable pain as he was murmuring in a husky voice. Unknowingly tears rolled down his cheeks as he stared at the sky with a blank gaze.

......

Eva opened the door lock at her house and with a glum posture walked inside. It was too dark and lonely. With a wistful expression, she turned the lights on of the living room and stared at the portrait hung on the wall.

Four people were smiling happily in the portrait. Eva, her brother Felix along with their mom and dad. They lost their parents 10 years ago. Felix was her only source of happiness and strength for surviving against all odds in this world.

But today, she was all alone standing all frozen and glancing at the portrait helplessly.

Her throat choked in agony as she felt a strong urge of crying out aloud while looking at the picture. She lost her balance and fell on the ground while breaking down miserably. "How? How am I gonna live in this world all alone? Why did you all have to leave me all alone? Why didn't you stay with me, Felix? How--" She couldn't complete her words as she started weeping bitterly while covering her face with both her arms.

Her happy world shattered into pieces in a single cursed night again...

....

Romano Mansion:

After spending quality time all alone outside with a heavy heart, Czar finally decided to head back home.

But to his surprise, Zeus was waiting for him outside the mansion with a grimaced face. He was agitated to witness his sudden act of kindness.

Czar hastily walked up to him and groaned ferociously. "What are you doing here? Why are you pretending to be generous with me? Deep down inside I also have known that you never accepted me as your brother, I was just a sympathized child for you!" He sounded too angry while interrogating him.

Zeus sighed with his response and looked into his eyes intensely. Czar's eyes were turned blue as he was too infuriated with him, which provoked his beastly instincts to show off.

"You are right Czar, I never treated you as my brother. But, I have tried my best to protect you from any harm since you were little." He continued in a mellow voice.

Czar smirked with his response and ogled him with a disgruntled look in his eyes. "Protect? Protecting your pack is the job of an alpha! You were just doing your duty, but you never ever cared for me, Zeus. Ahhggghh, I am so frustrated right now. It's no use of bickering with you, I am heading inside." He fiercely left inside the mansion leaving Zeus behind. He couldn't stop him from leaving as he sighed with his response.

"Sorry, I never got the chance to prove my silent concern for you, Czar. But I won't stop doing my job, despite knowing you want to surpass my position someday.

I can fight back with you at that time but I can't let that happen to what your mom has faced here. I am not a weakling anymore..." He murmured with a sad smile and headed back inside.
