Chapter 140 - Transformation

The Romano Mansion:

The night was dark and desolated. The enigmatic tallest mansion of Rione Monti was surrounded by frightful clouds of mystery. As soon as Czar gallantly stepped inside the mansion bearing a gallant eloquence, he noticed both Aelia and Antonio were impatiently strolling on the hallway, squabbling among themselves. Several house guards were lined up in the corridor bowing their head down as if they were waiting for their command.

Abruptly hearing those giant footsteps at the entrance, Aelia shifted her gaze towards him and scowled her face in anger.

"You punk! Why are you back alone? Where the heck is my son? Where is Zeus?" She grumbled at him in a loud voice, gritting her teeth in rage.

"What?" Furrowing his eyebrows, Czar glared back at her not having a clue of anything that was going on inside the mansion.

Antonio firmly walked a few steps closer to him and stood in the middle between Czar and Aelia as a barrier. Holding a displeased expression, he swirled his eyes while looking at him intensely, "Czar, both of you brothers were missing for the past two days. We had assumed earlier that perhaps...both of you are together. But looking at you coming home alone is quite an upsetting sight for us. Where is Zeus?" He inquired.

"Zeus hasn't come back home?" He too sounded much bewildered at his statement and kept glancing at him in awe. 

"Don't act all innocent you brat! I know...I know you must be behind his sudden disappearance!" She grumbled fiercely, trying to stomp her feet towards her but Antonio stood in the middle forbidding her from approaching him in such a fit of rage.

"How would I know where is Zeus? I had my own reasons for not coming back here but...I--"

"Who the fuck cares about you, brat? It would have been better for us if you had never come back here!" Before he could wrap up his words, Aelia snapped viciously at him. Her sudden loud proclamation startled every single soul gathered at the hall room as they were staring at themselves impertinently.

Antonio seemed much disturbed with her loud reaction and turning his neck behind, he tried to calm her down holding an agitated look in his deep eyes.  "Aelia, I think you are going overboard now. Czar is too a member of this house!"

"No! Not for me! He never belonged in my life nor he will ever belong to my family!" She sounded as harsh as usual.

Hearing out her loud declaration before the other people gathered in the room, absorbed with a surge of sorrow, Czar tossed a painful smirk towards her before responding back. "I know about it quite well Miss Aelia. And to be honest...I never considered you as my mother either...Because you are such a lowly woman to be given such a precious position. Sadly...you had been a horrible mother to my big brother too and that's why I pity him a bit."

"How dare you answer me back...you illicit scoundrel--"

"BOTH OF YOU...SILENCE!!"

Antonio shrieked out aloud reverberating the entire room as an echo with his sonorous voice. To pause the intense bickering that was barging in between them, he had to cut off the conversation with such a loud dominant growl of an alpha, looking extremely irked. "I am already enough puzzled with many worries running inside my mind. Both of you...don't pester me anymore and go back to your rooms!" 

"But honey...you saw how this punk shamelessly replied me back--"

"Aelia, go back to your room! Now!"

Before she could finish her intense whining, he snapped at her frowning his face, and shifted his glare towards Czar who seemed already perturbed with the dense atmosphere. 

Squirming in rage, she swirled her eyes while gnashing her teeth fiercely. "If something happens to my Zeus... I won't let you stay alive, punk." She mumbled inside her mind and stomped her feet hard on the ground before heading back like a rush of the storm.

While she was gone, Czar shifted his gaze towards the house guards at the corner of the hallway and scrunched his eyebrows. "I wanna have a word with my father. Leave now. Everyone of you." He proclaimed.

Hearing his intense proclamation, they obediently towed their heads and disappeared in thin air following his command.  As soon as they were gone, Czar stared sharply into his eyes and chose to walk inside, closer to his father.

"What do you want to talk about?" He asked him first.

"Dad... I wanna let you know about something." Czar crossed his arms over his chest and gazed distinctly at him furrowing his eyebrow ridge. He had a small smirk lingering on his lips and stood in front of her, looking much braver than usual. "All my life...I had been a wicked, vile creature who has devoured countless humans for my own pleasure. But...for the first time ever, I have reached a conclusion about what my heart wants." He conversed.

"What do you mean by that?"

"I just wanted to be honest with myself and hence I took this decision. I won't let that woman die." His deep firm voice resounded as an echo inside the silent giant hallway as he declared.

"What?" Frowning his face, Antonio glanced at him in awe as if the statement was inconceivable for him. Such a wicked emotionless lycanthrope like him was trying to defend a human boldly which was beyond imagination for him. 

"You have already heard me, dad... I won't lie... Supporting you in this heinous act would have been solely favourable for me...but...I don't want that innocent woman to die a brutal death on our hands when your son was the first one to chase after her! If you want to stop Zeus...you can do it by your own ways, I won't bother about it. But...if you try to harm her by your people, I would stand like a guard wall before the troop." He rolled his eyeballs mystically with a small sneer sparkling on his brave grimace.

"Do you have an idea about what you are talking about now? It doesn't makes any sense. Will you go against us for that woman? Are you following your foolish brother's footsteps?"

"No. This time, I am listening to my heart. All my life I had been living with the nail of regret pierced in my heart... I couldn't protect my mother from the evil...But this time, I would fight back with all my might. So, I just wanted to let you know about it prior." Averting his sad gaze away from her, he tried to walk away from him heading straight towards his room, leaving his father behind standing stunned with his answer.

"Are you in love with her too?" Antonio gnashed his teeth, charging him straight in a deep low voice.

His sudden inquiry halted his motion for a few seconds. He stood still, lowering his eyes down and clenching his fist hard. His heart was throbbing in anxiety but keeping his silence, he chose to walk away from him without uttering a single word.

Antonio stood still like a rock pillar, looking extremely enraged from his gesticulation. He stared at the cold dark sky outside, grumbling on his own, "I...have to meddle within..."

"Do you think your howl will scare me? Do you think...making her escape from here would protect her life?" Hodling a devilish sneer on his lips, Beck tilted his neck a bit while murmuring in a loud voice, clenching his shimmering giant claws which were emerging out from his paws. 

Zeus had a stern fierce expression on his face but his question left a small smirk on his face. "I didn't howl to scare you but to awaken the true blood wolf inside my core. And before going after Eva...you will have to defeat me, you filth." Promptly he replied.

"Alright, then shall we let's finish the fight just like animals?" He smirked at him.

"Of course...I am waiting to rip apart your chest with my claws!" All of a sudden, the intense vibration on the ground again emerged out from Zeus while he was locking his devilish sneer on him.

His appearances began to transform in the flick of a second. Abruptly, he ripped out his black shirt from his body. His firm abs over his abdomen were shimmering in the dark with his muscular broad shoulder giving him the potent look of a fierce alpha he was!

But soon enough, silver black hair sprouts began to grow all over his bare upper body which were thick and smooth as fur. His bright red pupils dilated like a predator eye's glowing out of his eye sockets. Long white canines started to emerge out from his mouth as he was gnashing in teeth. His entire body started to mold into the werewolf shape, much taller than his usual size and somewhat slouched. His ears transformed into pointed wolf ears unlike his human form. His dazzling bright face started to contort as it pushes forward and splited as snout on his lower jowls to complete his entire werewolf transformation. Looking a ferocious devilish lycantrope, drastically different from his usual form, he prowled like an animal venturing to take a step towards him.

"Ze...Zeus?"

Suddenly, the quivering husky voice behind him halted his motion forbidding him to step ahead. A surge of dread rose inside his heart as he sneaked a look behind. 

Eva was standing just a few inches apart from him, swirling her eyes in horror and tears of anguish rolling down her eyes as she was looking at him.

"E...Eva?" He blurted out in awe.
