Chapter 167 - Fluttering Emotions

After parking the red Porsche at the outer parking premise of her office, Clara was heading inside quite hurriedly as she was already late for her work. Usually, she dodges to take such a swoon-worthy precious car to her workplace to avoid unnecessary gossips among her colleagues. But, since she was already late for today, there was no other choice left.

While going inside, she saw Eric was parking his car and was about to head too. Somehow, he seemed a bit different from his usual days. He was very sophistically groomed up wearing a black deluxe suite with a creamy white shirt inside. A golden rose brooch tugged on his chest pocket. His dark brown hairs were styled upwards delicately and nevertheless, he appeared more handsome than ever.

"Wow, Mr. Eric! Are you going to a prom after work?" Startled at his office attire, Clara couldn't help but inquired him, smiling meekly.

As both their eyes met, Eric gently tossed a warm smile towards her looking a bit modest at her compliment. "Well, am I looking handsome today?" He adjusted his shirt collar, reciprocating her back.

"Of course! I bet...every lady inside would be drooling over you today," she chuckled.

"Ahh, c'mon, Miss Clara... you are exaggerating now." He was scraping his neck, looking flustered red from her appreciations.

"Okay...Okay... I won't pull your leg anymore. But umm, Mr. Eric," her voice sounded a bit dense as the smile on her face faded a little. "Eva has told me everything... the way you encouraged her to be true to her emotions is indeed a sign of a true gentleman. I am sorry, the date... didn't go well between you both. I...shouldn't have asked you to meet her in the first place..."

"Miss Clara there's nothing for you to feel guilty about. Besides, I am actually thankful to you both because... I got to meet her due to the date!" He had a blissful eloquence on his face while murmuring in a cordial manner.

"Her?" She raised her chin up, furrowed her brows impertinently before asking him.

"Umm...well... Miss Clara... I think I have finally found the one for me." He scraped his neck again, making a shy face.

"Huh? What? Are you already dating someone?" She seemed much surprised at his unexpected response.

"No... To be honest... I don't even know her name... But it was after the date I bumped into her! So... I am gonna visit the same place today and wait for her because that's the only choice I am left with. Maybe, by waiting at the same place, we could collide with each other. And that's when I will ask for her name and other contact details. That's my plan." He mumbled.

She was gawking at him in awe hearing his unusual revelations. After a moment of pause, she gulped her saliva and spoke coherently, "so basically it means that you have kind of a crush on an unknown woman and you don't know any details about her...right?"

"Umm...Hmm." He nodded.

"But how can you just vaguely hope to find her again by visiting the same place? Maybe...she was just randomly passing by there yesterday. In this big town, how you are gonna find that girl whom you lost in the crowd?" A witty smirk escaped her lips as she tossed her point.

All of a sudden, his face darkened a little. The gleam of happiness completely faded from his grimace and fidgeting in angst, he opposed, "Hey...don't take that hope away from me. My life depends on this tiny anticipation now. That's the only way I have to find her again..."

Clara was ogling at him in wonder to notice the sudden change of expression on his face. Taking a deep sigh, she mumbled, "do you like her that much? But...didn't you meet her for the first time yesterday? What kind of woman she is.. innocent, cute, soft type?"

"Umm, well, she is the exact opposite of the type you just mentioned."

"Huh?"

"She has a loud, harsh mouth and also seemed to have anger issues. She didn't seem to be a weak one because of the way she pushed me off with her elbow, her strength was pretty amazing! She rebuked me so much and to be honest, I have never met a woman who insulted me this way on the first meet. Besides, her eyes seemed to be very furious from the way she was glaring at me. It was indicating from her gaze that she was about to kill me at any moment!" He was vividly mentioning every feature about her with his hand gestures, sounding much bolder.

Clara was surprised to hear such weird characteristics regarding the woman and forgot to even blink her eyes. Gulping anxiously, she retaliated, "Mr. Eric, what kind of woman you have actually met? Is she a thug or a criminal? Shouldn't you be afraid of that kind of woman?"

"Umm...no...surprisingly, her gestures made me very curious at first... But...when our eyes met each other...ahh, damn! A spark of fire ignited inside my heart as it started to pound like crazy! I was feeling as if I am gonna get a heart attack at this rate but I was lost in her wide, big...brown eyes.

She was so beautiful with a charismatic aura around her which immediately hooked me badly... To be precise, perhaps, it was love at first sight from my side... And, that's the reason I have groomed well today as because I don't want to look plain in front of such an elegant goddess..." His eyes were glistening in joy while he was busily reverberating his emotions regarding the woman, holding a bright smile on his face.

"I guess, he has gone crazy...I can't believe the sensible Chief Manager Mr. Eric is behaving like a love-sick airhead! Do people really go crazy when they fall in love or...it only happens to these dork humans?" She was frowning her face, lost in her thoughts inside.

"But Miss Clara, keep it a secret from everyone alright? I...I am gonna tell you the remaining details once I find her again. And...I won't give up on my love even if she beats me to death! I am really confident this time. So...See you later," mumbling in a cheeky tender voice, he waved his arm at her and swiftly entered inside the building.

"Woah...I can't believe it... How could he fall head over heels for someone just like that? He doesn't even know if the woman likes someone else or not... What a crazy moron..." She smirked, looking at the way inside, wondering inside.

...

"Do you like this man?"

"Huh?"

All of a sudden hearing the deep low voice behind her, Clara flinched in shock and turned around. Czar was standing with an impish look over his face, gawking at her intensely dressed up in formal attire, looking like a dashing model with a perfect physique.

"Ma-Master? What are you doing here? Why do you always suddenly appear around me?"

"Umm, I wanted to give you a surprise visit to your workplace. But you were quite busy chitchatting with that dork. Do you like him?" He raised his eyebrow, asking her bluntly.

"What?" A disgusted annoyed look prevailed on her face hearing his absurd question. "How can you even come to such a silly assumption, master?"

"But...you were all smiley when talking to him... I thought you used to smile only around me but I guess...you are pretty friendly with everyone else." He was sulking his face while whining like a small child in front of her.

A soft chuckle escaped her lips as she glanced at his deep, dark eyes. "Master, were you...jealous?"

"Huh?" Frowning his grimace, he tossed a sharp gaze towards her walking a step closer. "Why would I be jealous?"

"Well...you sounded a bit displeased so...I kind of assumed it..." She whispered.

Holding a small impish smile, he leaned his face closer towards her and stared intensively into her eyes. Their nose tips were just an inch apart from touching each other as he murmured in a deep voice, "why would I have to be jealous when you are already mine? I do have the right to claim you anytime I want..." He sneered cheekily.

THUMP!

Suddenly, with the unexpected closeness arousing between them, her heart pounded out aloud making her palpitating from inside. She was flustered red with his deep voice reverberating like an echo in her ears and trying hard to hide her shy expression, she pushed him away with her arms.

"Wa-Wait, do-don't come closer to m-me." She was stuttering.

"Huh? What's wrong, wild kitten?"

"I...I have to head inside. I am already very late for today. I really need to go now...master." She quickly peeked a glance at her watch, intending to head inside to escape from him.

"Aww man, I thought of asking you for a coffee... Well, never mind, let's meet next time then. Bye..." He softly poked her cheek with his fingertips, turned around, and gallantly walked out of the premises.

While he was heading away, Clara was continuously peering at him from behind with a palpitated expression on her face. Her heart was still pounding hard and tapping her chest a few times, she tried to calm down herself.

"Damn... he must be really an experienced Cassanova to make my heart flutter with his cheesy lines... Calm down Clara, get a hold of yourself. Stop pounding so hard whenever he comes a bit closer! Control yourself, you stupid heart!" She mumbled.
