“Don’t make noise. If you want to read, you can go to the study room next to me. If you want to borrow a book, come to me and present your student ID.”

The old librarian said the same thing as before, slowly flipping over a page before looking up at Lin Yu.

It was either he had a good memory, or there were far too few people who came to the library. That was why he seemed to recognize Lin Yu with his gaze but did not make conversation as he continued reading his wuxia novel.

‘This man is old yet strong.”

Lin Yu glanced over at the title of the book in the librarian’s hands—it seemed like it was written by Huang Ying, the famous wuxia author. Lin Yu exclaimed to himself and found an empty corner of the study room to sit in.

After waiting silently for some time, Lin Yu opened the B site app and put on his Academic Genius Glasses at 1pm.

The B site livestream was simple to set up, where no ID was required to do so. It took a mere few clicks to set up a livestream.

‘Academic Genius System Trial: Please Forgive Me For Not Speaking Loudly During The Self-Study Livestream.’

The livestream began after the title was set up.

The smart glasses’ system was basically a customized and optimized version of the Android system. It was similar to livestreaming with a phone. The background was whatever was captured by the glasses’ camera, while the screen recording worked similar to a projection screen. The only difference was that the phone’s screen recording was only limited to what could be seen on the phone, but the smart glasses”screen’ was the lenses. A large part of the background also included what was in Lin Yu’s field of vision, so the livestream would automatically include both the screen recording of the software and whatever was in Lin Yu’s field of vision. The software view of the smart glasses, together with the scene captured by the camera, was combined and displayed together.

Lin Yu selected the camera view and looked over at his livestream. After confirming that everything was working, he got up and walked toward the bookshelf.

Whenever an uploader got on livestream, push notifications would be sent out to his followers. Moreover, the push notifications were used for both livestream and video notifications.

Since quite a few of his followers were already waiting for his follow up status update, a huge group of them swarmed into his livestream the moment it began.

“Is this the library?”

“Pigeon Demon, I want to see girls! Are there any beautiful academic geniuses?”

“Where is the Prop Master? Why isn’t he showing his face in the livestream?”

“Why does the view seem a little weird? It looks like a first-person view.”

“It’s good to have a first-person view. Where’s the Academic Genius System? I want to try it out.”

The viewer count grew quickly in the livestream and the live chat erupted.

Lin Yu had planned to self-study but felt like it was rude to not talk on livestream. He turned around and walked out of the library toward the couch in the hallway as he did not want to break the study room’s silence.

“Good afternoon everyone, I’m the Prop Master.”

Lin Yu was no longer nervous while talking after being an uploader with a million followers for some time. He sat on the couch and began calmly introducing himself.

“Hm, why are you so proper today? No, you’re not the Pigeon Demon I know.”

“Didn’t you say that this is a trial run for the Academic Genius System? Where’s the system?”

“Why are you livestreaming a first-person view? Are you carrying a camera?”

After hearing Lin Yu’s voice, the live chat erupted again.

“This is my first-person view. I have a friend who’s developing smart glasses and I was allowed to test out their product, so I modified the Academic Genius System a little and integrated it with the glasses.”

Lin Yu explained with a smile. It was an excuse he had at the top of this head.

“F*ck, smart glasses?”

“This is so awesome. Quick, show us how cool it looks.”

“There it is, a made-up excuse.”

“Did you think I am uneducated? B site would never customize the app for a pair of smart glasses in the developing stage, let alone have it work perfectly on an Android? Even Google’s own smart glasses aren’t as much of a black tech as you are.”

There were a few viewers who knew their stuff in the live chat. Lin Yu could not respond to them, but this was not a huge problem as he ignored them.

“As for the Academic Genius System, hold on. I’ll change the view.”

Lin Yu reached his hand out and pointed his finger around while ignoring the comments. The livestream view was changed to the screen of the smart glasses, and the Academic Genius System app was opened.

Ring, ring~

The Academic Genius System interface was opened after a crisp sound effect. Lines of off-white translucent text emerged one after another. Its visual effect was very cool and had a sci-fi vibe to it.

“F*ck! Cool!”

“Is this considered a modification? This is completely different from before!”

“That’s it, my wallet is itching to get this. Uploader, is this an ad? What brand are these smart glasses? Tell us!”

The interface and the special effect were enough to excite Lin Yu’s viewers and their wallets.

After that, Lin Yu demonstrated the meditation function and the atmosphere in the live chat was at its peak.

“Ah, I want a pair of smart glasses too!”

“Tell us the price and let me give up on the idea. I am salivating.”

“Can we play games on it like VR glasses do? Or AR?”

“It must be cool to drive with this. The screen looks like it’s right in front of you.”

“What are the functions of these smart glasses? Please demonstrate.”

The viewers’ attention was focused on the smart glasses that the Academic Genius System seemed like a sidekick at the moment.

“These smart glasses work perfectly with Android and can do anything a smartphone can, such as scanning QR codes for payment. However, it’s still in a confidential developing stage, so it cannot be purchased…”

Viewers were king, so Lin Yu had no choice but to demonstrate the glasses’ functions for a little while. Nonetheless, he did not forget about the purpose of the livestream, and he managed to shift the focus back to the Academic Genius System amidst envy and eagerness.

“Okay, that’s all for the smart glasses. We’re here to try out the Academic Genius System. I will begin my self-study in a moment so please forgive me as I can’t talk much in the library.”

Lin Yu said with a smile and walked back to the library. However, just as he turned around, he found a few students staring at him from the library’s entrance and his expression froze.

It seems like…these people think I am talking to nobody like an idiot?

Lin Yu froze. He did not say much as he nodded and walked past a few people. He pulled out a book on the principles of mechanical engineering from the bookshelf in the library based on his memory, found a corner in the study room, and sat down to self-study.
