Chapter 341 - Dating Scandal III

" Because she works here."

Jia Fei's proud smile faltered upon hearing those words and turned around to see who dared to crack such not-so-funny jokes. 

" Hah, I knew it. No one else can dare to spout such nonsense about me other than you." She said to see Xu Nuan who was standing at the door. 

Xu Nuan shrugged her shoulders and made her way to the girls.

" Xu Nuan!! You're finally here." Sun Ya burst into tears once again upon seeing Xu Nuan. 

After she walked out of Wang Meili's office, she received a call from Xu Nuan. Upon hearing her sobbing on the phone, Xu Nuan suggested her meeting up at the Moonriver cafe in an hour. 

Without any question, they gathered up at the venue and were shocked to see Jia Fei coming to serve them their drinks. What a blessing it is to receive the drinks from the great Jia Fei.

Xu Nuan sighed seeing Sun Ya crying out loud in her arms and patted her back gently. " Stop crying already. Your eyes will swell up like a panda." 

After a few minutes when Sun Ya finally calmed down and was wiping her teary face with a tissue, Jia Fei turned to Xu Nuan, " What did you say a while ago? I work here?"

" Oh, Hello!! I don't work here, this is my cafe. Understand that?" She stated firmly. 

" Really? But you don't look like someone who owns the cafe. Seeing the way you treat your customers, I am sure the cafe will go under soon enough." Xu Nuan said. 

" What? What did you say?" 

The girls were in awe to see their bickering and were wondering how come Xu Nuan, a manager who started working just a year ago can be acquainted with the Queen of the entertainment industry?

" This is my cafe. And it's working extremely well. So don't you dare to jinx my business." Jia Fei warned Xu Nuan clearly. 

" Who said that it's your cafe? Jia Fei, don't forget that I am the owner of this cafe and you're just an investor. Don't try to take all the credit for it." Luo Dan commented who just entered the cafe. 

*Crash*

Sun Ya's eyes widened to see Luo Dan who just made an entrance from the door. She was shocked to the point that the drink that she was holding fell onto the floor and the glass broke into pieces, startling everyone. 

" Are you oka-" Xu Nuan and Jia Fei spoke at the same time but their words were interrupted by worried Luo Dan who came running to Sun Ya. 

" Are you okay? You're not hurt, are you?" Luo Dan got worried to see broken glass pieces around Sun Ya's feet and went to help her. 

" Ah, I...I am sorry. I'll clean this up." Sun Ya was in a daze but seeing Luo Dan coming to help her, she panicked and started to pick up the pieces by hand. 

" No, don't do that. Otherwise, you'll get hurt. I'll get this cleaned up."

" You aren't hurt, right? Stay away from the glass pieces." Luo Dan said in a sweet voice, making everyone look at her in awe. 

" I am sorry. I love you. You're so beautiful." Sun Ya said at once while admiring Luo Dan's beauty. She is just as they heard about her, gentle and caring. 

Her voice was also soft and sweet, just as her nature. 

Xu Nuan raised her brows and glanced at the girls who were looking at Luo Dan in a daze. Her entry made them forget that the other two people were also standing there. 

" Such betrayers," she commented in disbelief. A moment ago, Sun Ya was crying in her arms and now she was saying 'I love you' to Luo Dan? Unbelievable. 

" Why is she such a show-off? Ah, so annoying." Jia Fei said at the same time. 

Upon realizing that they said it aloud simultaneously, they glanced at each other and looked away in disgust when they had eye contact. 

" What a bad day." Jia Fei shivered in disgust. 

" Ah, so creepy." Xu Nuan also stepped away from her in disgust. 

When she stepped away, Xu Nuan couldn't help but glance at Jia Fei in amusement. They might not be the same anymore, but their love and hate relationship is the same as ever. 

Even in the past, they never agreed on something and fought countlessly. But because of this, they were a blasting duo whenever they performed together on the stage. And the whole fandom was aware of their fiery temperaments and called them with the name of bickering couple.

" This scandal is too sudden, isn't it? And being in the same hotel with a man wasn't even a big thing, why is it getting out of hand?" Luo Dan commented upon reading the articles on the tablet. 

" I don't know. I don't even know this person." Sun Ya replied in a weak voice. Although she is afraid about what would happen because of this scandal and whether their careers will be ruined because of it. 

However, seeing Jia Fei and Luo Dan sitting together with them and trying to solve the situation, it calmed her to some extent. Not only that, all her group members and Xu Nuan were there, backing her up. 

At least she has people who are there to help her out. She is not alone. 

" This isn't a big thing but someone is making it look as if it is." Xu Nuan commented. 

Sun Ya frowned, " Someone is behind it? Who?"

" It's all because of your contract. They're trying to bound you with a contract by using such petty tricks." Jia Fei added while stretching her hands casually. 

Xu Nuan glanced at her and nodded in agreement. " It's all Wang Meili's doing. She wants to use this scandal to make you sign the contract and put you under her control." 

" But why would they do that? Wouldn't it hurt the image of their company as well?" Song Ai asked worriedly. 

" It won't. If you sign the contract, they can simply deny the rumor and set the things in place. However, if you don't, they will use even more dirty tricks to pull you down from your crown. Because if you leave the company, it will damage their reputation more." Xu Nuan said. 

" So this is what happened to us." Luo Dan mutters in a low voice. This scandal reminded her of the time when Qin Ju was forcing them to leave the company soon after Jiang Yue's death. 

He was trying to get rid of them, and wanted Hao Mei to make the most out of their popularity. The scandal of Jiang Yue and Lin Hui was also similar to this one.

If not for the drama at the press conference, Hao Mei and Qin Ju would have gotten out of this mess easily and were living in glory right now.

Whereas, everyone would be hating on Lin Hui and the innocent Jiang Yue who wasn't even in this world anymore. 

Xu Nuan who was sitting next to Luo Dan heard her whisper and pursed her lips seeing her dull expressions. She glanced at her and quietly passed her a glass of water. 

Luo Dan was surprised to see the sweet gesture of Xu Nuan. However, before she could thank her for the water, Xu Nuan ignored her and started talking to Sun Ya as if nothing happened. 

Luo Dan chuckled seeing her acting cool and was reminded how Jiang Yue used to act cool after passing her tissues or water when she cried about something.

Why is she similar to her? She wondered.

" Wang Meili has denied making any statement about the scandal. What can we do about it? I cannot say anything either because of the contract." Sun Ya said worriedly. 

Seeing how things are flaring up on the internet, people will not calm down until she decides to exit from the group. 

" We will do just as Wang Meili wants." Xu Nuan said. 

" What? Sign the contract with shining bright? Xu Nuan, how can you say such a thing?" Song Ai asked with a frown. 

Xu Nuan smiled and shook her head, " That's what cowards do. We will….DO NOTHING." 

"...."

There was a long silence after Xu Nuan's words. The girls looked at each other in confusion and wondered if Xu Nuan understood the severity of the situation correctly. 

For the first time, they were not sure about Xu Nuan's way of handling the situation. 

" Xu Nuan, what do you mean by this? How can we not do anything? Wouldn't it hurt Sun Ya-" 

Pan Lan tried to speak out but her words got interrupted by Jia Fei, " Hmm....not bad. You're not as stupid as I thought you would be." she commented as she looked at Xu Nuan with a sense of admiration. 

" You're young but not stupid. Good," she commented with her hands folded in front of her chest. 

Xu Nuan looked at her and frowned. She couldn't help but scoff seeing her acting like an elder in front of her when in reality she is the one older than her. 

' Argh….she is so annoying.' Xu Nuan took a deep breath to calm down the urge to hit Jia Fei on the head once. 

" I am surprised too. An old person like you can understand my words, it's really a big surprise for me." she fired back at Jia Fei, making her choke on her drink. 

" WHAT DID YOU SAY? I AM OLD? FROM WHICH ANGLE DO I LOOK OLD?" Jia Fei glowered at Xu Nuan. 

" You're 24 years old, aren't you? Then you're older than me. " Xu Nuan said casually, provoking Jia Fei even more with her cool attitude. 

Luo Dan sighed seeing them fighting again and took a sip of her drink to cool down. 

While Jia Fei and Xu Nuan were busy bickering with each other, the girls were confused and were glancing at each other in confusion. What does Xu Nuan mean by doing nothing? Who will explain to them what it means and how it will this solve the problem?
