Chapter 171 - They met (1)

The next day, Xu Nuan was combing her hair when her eyes fell on the wall clock. She gasped, " Oy My God, How can I be late for the meeting?" she hurriedly put down the comb and ran fingers through her hair to smoothen them. She picked up her bag and left the house for work. 

After the girls won their first win yesterday and the views on their MV are still soaring, she keeps getting calls from other broadcasting stations to request the girls as guests on their reality shows or talk shows. This is their promotional time and it's important for her to choose the right shows for the girls that can introduce them to the public. 

Today she had a meeting with one of the assistant producers of the reality show for which she is already late. If she had not slept in, she would have made it on time. 

In the elevator, she checked the time and frowned. " Seems like I need to take a taxi if I want to be on time." she sighed. Even though the girls are doing great, she still needs to keep her finances in check. 

She is not the superstar Jiang Yue anymore. She has to be cautious of her finances as much as she can. 

She frowned when the elevator stopped on the floor below. She was already getting late and things like this are making her even more annoyed. However, her eyes widened when she saw two familiar figures standing outside when the elevator door parted open.

Her body froze on the spot seeing Jia Fei and Luo Dan entering the elevator. Although their faces were covered with masks, she still recognized them. How can she not? She has spent years with them, they have shared everything. From the apartment to the clothes to chopsticks, they have shared everything. They are her closest friends, her members, and seeing them in front of them made her remember how they have cried at the press conference. 

Just like her, the shock was real for them as well. She unconsciously shifted back, staring at their backs in a daze. She bit her lower lip and wondered, ' What? Why are they here? Their houses are far away from here, then why are they here? Did they come to visit someone?' she unknowingly, started covering her face with her palm as if they could recognize her. 

Jia Fei glanced at the girl who was standing in the corner and blinked in wonder, ' Why does this girl look familiar?' 

Xu Nuan pursed her lips as her breath got stuck in her throat seeing Jia Fei staring at her. She immediately turned away, waiting for the elevator to reach the ground floor. 

" Luo Luo, did you check the posts on the fan page? I can't believe that today is our five-year anniversary together and we're celebrating it without Jiang Yue and Hao.." Jia Fei paused remembering how Hao Mei betrayed them. If she hadn't betrayed them, they would be celebrating their five year anniversary together with Jiang Yue standing by their sides. 

Luo Dan sighed seeing Jia Fei's expressions getting dull and rubbed her back to console her. " Don't be sad. Sister Jiang Yue is always with us, we might not be able to see her but she is always beside us." 

"...."

Xu Nuan pursed her lips upon hearing her words. What? Since when did she become psychic? How does she know that I am Jiang Yue? She took her consoling words literally and turned to check her face in the elevator glass reflection on the side. 

' But I look like Xu Nuan only. How does she know that I am beside her?'

Leaving the elevator, she quietly followed them, wanting to see where they were going. It's been months since she hasn't seen them and didn't even know about their whereabouts. She was curious how they are living without her. 

She wants them to live happily since she was not beside them. But if they live too well, forgetting her, it would also hurt her a bit. 

To follow them, she got into the taxi and followed them until Jia Fei's car came to a stop. She paid the taxi driver and frowned to see the cafe's name, " Moon River". 

Her lips curled into a gentle smile seeing the name written in the golden large fonts on the royal brown board. " Moon River…" she murmured as the name of the cafe` is what stands for her name Jiang Yue. 

Jiang - River. Yue - Moon. 

She glanced at the two girls entering the cafe and raised her brows when she noticed a man in a formal suit, wearing the manager tag, walking towards them and greeted them. " Boss, you're here? Would you like to have the regular?"He asked Luo Dan. 

She also nodded at him and took a seat at the table near the billing area. Xu Nuan was watching things unfolding from outside with her lips parted in a daze. She already postponed the meeting for today, as she was not sure if she can go to work like this.

" Don't tell me it's Luo Luo's cafe?" she said in disbelief. She was surprised that Luo Dan, her gentle, kind girl is now an owner of a cafe. Although Hao Mei was the youngest in the group, Luo Dan has always been the kindest and gentle one. 

She had a special attachment to her as Luo Dan has never cared for herself. Luo Dan has always taken care of her members, although she was the leader of the group, it was Luo Dan who has always handled the things that she had ruined in the interviews or talk shows.

It's not that she was bad at talking but her brutal honesty tends to ruin the show. The show producers were afraid to call her on their shows, as they were afraid of what she might say next. 

If she and Jia Fei are like fire, Luo Dan is the fire extinguisher of the group. She is always the one to maintain the peace in the group. " My baby Luo Luo has grown up," she said while looking at them longingly. 

" Ah, well, it's been only six months since all that happened. Maybe she didn't grow that much." she sniffled remembering how old her words must have sounded. 

" Waah, the aroma of the coffee is so rich. Should I go inside?"

Xu Nuan sat across them, one table behind, and watched them as they were talking and giggling about something. She ordered a latte and was watching them from afar. 

The cafe` doesn't have many people since it was the rush hours and everyone was taking their coffee to go. 

Jia Fei showed the posts she found online to Luo Dan and laughed, " I can't believe that this is us." she laughed over her lungs while showing her phone to Luo Dan. 

However, her face turned crimson seeing the photo on the screen. It was their portrait, in which Jia Fei was wearing a skin-tight black leather suit looking wild and exotic was lying on the bed. While Luo Dan was wearing a white-strapped translucent nighty and was hovering over Jia Fei in the portrait looking into her eyes temptingly. 

Her legs were between Jia Fei's legs and their compromising position made her cheeks turn red like cherry tomatoes. 

" OH MY!!" She dropped the phone on the table in shock. " How can they draw something like this? Ah, it's so embarrassing." she face- palmed herself in embarrassment while Jia Fei laughed seeing the creative fan art. 

" How can they be so creative? I am impressed with the art.." she commented, making Luo Dan glare at her. 

" But how can they draw me below. I am Jia Fei, I am meant to be on top," she stated, which caused Xu Nuan who was sipping on her coffee to chuckle. She even spilled some on the table meanwhile. 

However, when Jia Fei turned around, her chuckle turned into a cough and her laughing expressions became stoic and indifferent. 

Jia Fei stared at Xu Nuan and wondered what she was doing there. She saw her a while ago in the elevator and she was here now. She squinted her eyes and seeing that she was not looking their way, she turned her attention to Luo Dan again. 

Xu Nuan smiled as she was relieved to see them once again. She was looking at them when her eyes fell onto the guy who was sitting at the table in front of her, which is across the table where Jia Fei and Luo Dan were sitting. 

Her expressions darkened seeing what he was doing.
