Chapter 186 - Gu Corporations Anniversary (VII)

Xingren clutched on her dress tightly while staring at Xu Nuan's back as she stood beside Han Zihao. His behavior towards Xu Nuan was pissing her off, even Yuhan who is her fiance has never acted this sweet towards her.

The man who is known for his cold-indifferent attitude to others, why is he talking in a low-gentle tone to this girl? What does she have to deserve this kind of treatment from him, the Charming prince of the business world? 

However, when she heard the words that he said to Yang Jian, her eyes widened in shock. 'Girlfriend?  She..she is his girlfriend? It can't be.' she shook her head in denial as she can't believe that she has got the best of the best. 

Gu Zhang had a similar reaction when he heard Han Zihao's words. He has always thought that Xu Nuan is good for nothing and it will be good if she marries Yang Jian, this can at least help Xingren to secure her investment. 

Otherwise, she doesn't even have any use. She is not good at studies and not suitable to work at the company, all she can do is to marry a man with high status and help the business to flourish. However, seeing how things folded with Yang Jian and how she acted, he was disappointed in her. 

He started to agree with Yang Jian's words that she was trying to ruin Xingren's plans by doing this and it was all deliberate. However, Han Zihao's entry changed the game. He remembered that a similar incident happened at the last banquet where Zhu Ai questioned her and Han Zihao's relationship and accused her of trying to seduce Han Zihao. 

However, later Han Zihao revealed that he doesn't have any relationship with Zhu Ai whatsoever. 

Did she really manage to get him on her side?

Han Zihao rubbed Xu Nuan's shoulder that was covered with his coat, making her lips curl up in an embarrassed smile. He didn't see her expressions and stared at the man in front of him who was staring at him as if a mountain of trash had fallen onto him. 

" You- Han Zihao stared at the man in confusion, trying to recall his name. 

" Yang Jian!!" He introduced himself politely, despite all the drama he was still expecting a miraculous change in his idea and was hoping to work together. 

Han Zihao stared at him coldly, seeing him smiling at him expectantly. He didn't show any expressions and said in a low-deep indifferent voice,  " Get lost!!" 

Yang Jian was caught off guard when he heard his words, he was expecting that he would say something and he will explain what happened to her and how this bi*ch tried to seduce him but rather than saying anything, he asked him to get lost? 

Him? CEO of YJ Corporations? 

" Mr. Han, I think you have misunderstood the situation. It was Gu Xingren who said to introduce Xu Nuan to me and said that she is ready to marry me. If I would have known that she is your girlfriend, I would have not even tried to fix this marriage."

" Let's not be like this and handle this situation maturely. I will apologize to Ms. Gu for whatever harsh words I said earlier and let's end this matter here. On this note, I was hoping if you could consider the proposal to work together that I have sent to your office. Have you seen that proposal?" He rubbed his sweaty palms nervously, waiting for him to give any response. 

Since Han Zihao is a businessman, he would not put his work at stake for a mere girl like her. It must be a fleeting attraction and money is above all kinds of attraction. This will not be a great opportunity for him but Han Corporation as out of all of their investments, there is no one for the clothing brands. 

" No need! I have already decided on someone else for the next investment. I don't work with criminals." He stated coldly, making everyone in the banquet hall erupted into whispers. 

Xu Nuan's words might not be that effective, but he is Han Zihao and all are businessmen who not only wish to work with him but also respects his vision of future investments and projects. If he doesn't work with Yang Jian, then there must be truly wrong with him. 

Yang Jian bit his lower lip seeing his cold attitude and took a deep breath, " Criminal? Who said that? Mr. Han, I respect you but you can't get into this girl's words. She is spreading rumors about me just to extract money from me."

" Is that so?" Han Zihao raised his brows seeing him going back on his words and blaming Xu Nuan again for calling him a fraud and someone who beats his wife.

Yang Jian nodded firmly and hoped that he would finally understand his words and not take Xu Nuan's words seriously. After all, his proposal was the best and beneficial for Han Zihao as well.

" Hmm. even so, Get Lost!!" Han Zihao said indifferently and this time he didn't wait for his reaction and turned to Grandfather Gu while making Xu Nuan turn around as well. 

" Mr. Gu, pardon me for barging into the party like this and not introducing myself first. I am Han Zihao, Xu Nuan's boyfriend." He bowed to him politely as he introduced himself as Xu Nuan's boyfriend and not as the President of Han Corporations. 

Xu Nuan's cheeks turned crimson seeing his actions as she was not expecting him to introduce himself this way. What? How can he say these words so easily? 

A tingling feeling rippled in her stomach seeing his actions, making her smile like a fool in love. 

Grandfather Gu was surprised when he saw the man introducing himself as Xu Nuan's boyfriend. He remembered seeing this man at the last banquet where Xu Nuan fainted and this man took her with her saying that he is her 'future boyfriend'. 

At that time, he had not much recollection of him and didn't even know him that well. However, after this, he read about him and found out about his worth in the industry and the power that this man holds. 

" Ah, you don't need to be so polite. I should apologize for not taking good care of Xu Nuan." He sighed heavily, feeling embarrassed to face him. 

Xingren frowned seeing Han Zihao talking to Grandfather Gu and saw Yang Jian who was standing there staring at him, embarrassingly. After a few minutes, he picked up his phone and turned around to leave. 

Xu Nuan sighed in relief when he left. His existence was giving her negative vibes, making her want to puke at his disgusting trash can-like face. Ah, is it too harsh? She wondered at her thoughts but shook her head to ignore the suspicious that she was having at herself, 

That man was indeed trash.

While Lin Ran and Grandmother Gu stared at the fine man in front of them in confusion, Gu Zhang used the opportunity and gestured at Han Zihao, " Mr. Han, Father is right. You don't need to be so polite. Please take a seat, since you have already come here, it will be a shame to not watch the whole event."

The party might have disrupted, but they can change the mood of the party again since Han Zihao is here. 

Han Zihao stared at Gu Zhang and didn't respond to his words. He remembered how he treated Xu Nuan at the hospital for the first time when they met. How can a father be so biased and selfish towards his children?

He turned to Grandfather Gu and said, " Mr. Gu, pardon me for being rude for not staying long, but I think it will be better for us to leave for now. I don't want to stay here further and ruin everyone's mood. Will you mind if I take Xu Nuan back with me?" He asked politely. 

Grandfather Gu glanced at his son who was finding an opportunity to make him stay for business talks and sighed. He nodded and said with a bitter smile, " Please take her with you. It must be stressful for her. "

" Xu Nuan, Grandfather is sorry for making you face all these things. I am the one who invited you and couldn't even handle the situation well." He sighed deeply which caused Xu Nuan to feel bad. 

" Grandfather, You don't need to feel bad. It was not your fault anyway. Please don't think much about whatever happened today. I am fine." She tried to comfort him but his expressions were telling her that he was feeling extremely sorry for what happened today. 

He was the one who insisted on coming to the party and this happened. If he had known about his family trying to set up Xu Nuan with Yang Jian, then he would not have insisted her to come to the party.
