42 I Like That Part Of You

Looking at the dashboard, the clock turns to 11:50 PM. Because she still had a little bit of trauma from the past experience, she took an exit way to the rest area at the highway.

After she parks Xui Li's car, she shakes his body a little try to wake him up.

"Xui Li...Xui Li…wake up.." she pulled his sweater a bit.

"Ngh." He opens his eyes and rubs it a little.

"I want to exchange." She said.

Looking around from the car window, he scrunches his eyebrow a bit. "Where are we?"

"Erm..somewhere around the border of Calestical City I guess." She scratches her temple a bit.

"Oh, that is fast. Wait up, I go and wash my face before we go again." He wants to go out of the car, but immediately she grabs his arm once he wants to pull the door.

"Wait!"

He was a bit surprised when she suddenly grabs his arm. Turn to her, he asks "What's wrong?"

"Can I come with you?"

"Huh?" Xui Li was dumbfounded a moment. He tries to digest her word. He wants to go to the restroom. Men restroom. Why did she want to go with him?

"I..I'm scared to be alone inside the car.." She lowered her head, feeling a bit embarrassing right now.

She nods her head and gets off the car. Xue Mei waited for him at the front of the men restroom and after he finishes, they went back to the car.

Xui Li take out his phone and put on his earphone, while Xue Mei uses Xui Li's blanket that he put on the back seat to cover her body and sleep.

While she was sleeping, Xui Li keeps singing in a slow tone to make sure he did not disturb her sleep.

He drives until morning and luckily they already arrive at Calestical City.

He went to one of the hotel there for check-in. Both of them need to shower and rest for a bit before they go on their journey again.

"Here's your key card. Shower and rest. I already order your meal, so, they will send it to your room later." He handed her the key card before they went to the elevator.

Get inside the room, she put her luggage and take a shower. Just after she finished the shower, her doorbell ringing and the room service staff bring her a set of meal.

She eats it before she went to sleep again.

Meanwhile, at the different room, after showering, Xui Li also eat his breakfast and turn on the television. He looks at the outside view. It was quite beautiful City. Even though it's not the same as the Imperial City, but this city also has many high rise building.

"Ah~ I'm so tired." he went to the bed and set his alarm before he went to sleep.

They had at least another ten hours to go.

Wake up after 12, both of them get ready to go again. After check-out Xui Li wait for Xue Mei at the lobby.

The elevator door opens and Xue Mei went to where Xui Li standing. She feels a bit refresh after some sleep and showering.

"Xui Li, sorry.."

"It's okay. You're not late. The valet just arrives to get my car." He strokes her hair and went to the entrance door follow by Xue Mei behind him.

Get inside the car, he wears his seat belt and set his GPS to the right route.

"So, I want to buy some coffee at Starbucks first before we enter the highway again. Do you want some?" He asks and starts to drive.

"Mm..yeah." She nods her head. Well, at least that can keep her awake for another 10 hours more.

"Alright."

They went to Starbucks drive-thru before they enter the highway.

Sip her caramel macchiato, she turns to look at Xui Li. Suddenly she feels like want to ask him about Ren Zhi's background and his past since Xui Li know him before she.

"Xui Li…"

"Hm?" He still focuses on driving.

"How long have you been friend with Ren?"

"Since I was in my high school."

"So, you went to the same high school as him?"

"Yeah..actually I just want to go to the normal high school but my parent kinda forces me to go there."

"Oh..Um, maybe they want what best for you."

"Well..maybe."

"So, how does Ren looks like when he was in high school?" She smiles a bit with her own imagination.

Scratch his temple, he tries to remember how he looks like. "I think the same as now. Only he has a Mohawk hairstyle. Erm, he more like a magnet, attracting so many girls from our school and also another school too."

"Haha...I think he still attracts many girls too." She giggles a bit.

"Yeah."

"So, did he has any lover back then?"

"Aw, such a shame. I thought with you now, the one who able to tackle down young master Zheng Ren Zhi would be someone who is at least a popular girls in your school." He smiles.

"Hey! Are you mocking me?" She turns her head to him.

"Hm? Did you offended by what I said?" He lifts up his eyebrow a little.

"Tch! I know I'm not that beautiful nor tall or have an attractive figure, but I have a kind heart, okay. That's what matters." She rolled her eyes and turn back to look at the outside of the window.

Ruffles her hair, he smiles and says.

"Even you're not that beautiful, but you're cute and cheerful. I like that part of you."

Hearing that makes her heart skip a beat and blushed a little.
