21 Vol 1 : Ch 21 - Convincing Rei

"That...."

Manager Xia anticipating more from her because base from his evaluations, Ms. Rei is the most have high IQ and EQ from his team eventhough she is still a newbie.

"That.. if I would guess it right, I will not be like any of my colleagues who got suspended and demoted since I know and aware that I didn't violate any company rules and regulations but maybe promotion perhaps but it's nonsense since I'm still a newbie and my service it's not enough for the said promotion."

'As expected from this lady in front of me but how can she downgrading her ownself.'

Rei is awaiting for Manager Xia's reply.

"..." Manager Xia still silent because he needs to think how to convince her.

"Manager Xia?"

Manager Xia got stop from what he think and then facing her.

"So, Ms. Rei by what you guess Promotion what do you think of it?"

"Truthfully I don't know Manager Xia and my service is still raw, I mean it's been almost 7 months that I'm part of this company, so being promoted even for 7 months must be ridiculous for the seniors who already part of this company for almost 3 years."

"You have a point Ms. Rei but that's the reason why they've never got promoted because they never progress or improve a little bit and yet they remained constant that they taught it was enough to got promoted. Meanwhile you, you only here for almost 7 months but what you did every day, every month until now you get improve and improve again knowing what's your limit and not. And yes, you got it right, you got promoted".

"Eh?" due to her shock, she only uttered this word and don't know what she's going to say or react of this sudden good news from her.

"I just received an instructions from the main branch, from what I heard from only a simple staff you will be promoted to become a Secretary and got assign at the main branch. Since we're talking about overseas, the main branch give you a month for decisions because this will be talking about your family and your career. We will wait for your decisions for a month and let us know what you decide."

Rei just nodded because she understand that it's a great opportunity and because opportunity only knock at once and it will never happened again if she disagree this offer but then Manager Xia still continue informing her.

"You don't need to worry your living expenses because the company will shoulder all of it and if you agree, you will know all thw details about this when you arrive in the Main Branch. I just told to inform you and wait for your answer, so you must think it well about this great opportunity for your career.

"I will think about it Manager Xia and I need to inform it to my family first before I decide it on my own. I will think seriously of it and do my best that I will give an absolute decision for this matter."

"Okay good and don't let your colleagues know about this one. The management will wait for your final decision one month from now but the management will also hope for you response as soon as possible."

"Yes, Manager Xia"

"By the way, in case if you agree, the management ask if you have a passport and if it's yes, can we ask for a photocopy of it."

"Yes I have but unfortunately my passsport always left in the house but I guess I have a copy of it from my email, so I will forward it to you now Manager Xia."

"Okay and you may go back to work Ms. Rei."

"Yes, Manager Xia."

Manager Xia received her email and directly print her passport. Rei left from the Manager office and seat to her chair then work like nothing happened but deep inside she already

wrack her brain to decide what's good for her.

Every day she think and think about it but she's still not decide what's good for her, she didn't even discuss it to her mother because she's worried what would be her reaction. She knows that her mother is happy for her but the one she's worried about is, her brother and her sister are both out of the country together with their own family, so she's worried if she left, who will be the one will accompany her mother if she can't and that's what the reason why she didn't have a final decision for the said offer.

She didn't even realize that it's already 3 weeks passed since she got inform, so in other words she only have 1 week left. But unknown to her, the management already done processing her working visa and other documents, she already have a flight booking which is a week after a month duration of her decision, so by summarizing it, Rei will be leaving C City two weeks from now if she agree and accept her new position.

Because she was busy thinking about her career she forgot about Vin and Xue matters.

Saturday morning, Rei already in the company and working seriously. Manager Xia just looking at her and time by time he got worried because it seems he didn't convince her well. Every day he called the main branch and report her actions. Manager Xia was getting impatient but the main branch management didn't worried a little bit because they will know it after a month so they just wait and know that they didn't waste any loss from this offer. The management know that Rei will agree of this offer because they know what Rei personality and character is.

At 12 noon exactly, Rei leave right away and ride a public vehicle in the way to their family home and without knowing her brother and sister arrived at the same day but different schedules together with their own family.

"Ma, I'm back."
