“Your servant… your servant was…”

“Ah!”

A terrible cry pierced the sky.

Yun Qingyan kicked Ziwan aside. Her eyes were icy cold but her lips were still curled up at an elegant angle and her expression looked like she hadn’t done anything. “I only asked you to talk, so why did you try to attack me? If you move, then it’s easy for my hand to accidentally hurt you.”

“You! You!” Ziwan fell to her knees on the floor. Her two hands fell limply by her side after their nerves had been severed, and they were still dripping with blood.

The dagger in her hand had fallen to the floor a long time ago. Ziwan used her large and pretty eyes to stare in disbelief at Yun Qingyan, and that stare was deeply hateful and murderous inside.

“Da da da!”

The guards of Yun Mansion had started to gather.

Countless footsteps rang out from outside the room and the gleam of their fire lit up the night.

The Yun Mansion guards were not bad, as they acted pretty quickly.

Yun Qingyan looked up at the fire illuminating the outside of the window, then looked away.

If the previous owner of this body didn’t hate the murderous and ferocious aura of these guards and made them guard her courtyard at such a great distance, they would probably have arrived a lot earlier.

Yun Qingyan used the cold blade of the knife to pat Ziwan’s face and smiled brightly. The brightness from outside the window added a warm glow to Yun Qingyan’s face, but she still looked no different from a demon to Ziwan.

“I don’t have a lot of patience, so you’d better tell me right now.” Yun Qingyan continued to smile widely.

“You can kill me or torture me, I don’t care!” Ziwan replied nastily. Since she couldn’t complete her mission, she glared viciously at Yun Qingyan instead.

“Oh my, you’re a pretty tough one.” Yun Qingyan laughed mockingly as she waved her hands gently and cut off Ziwan’s ability to move. She started to move the knife in her hand slowly towards Ziwan’s heart, and her voice was still as flippant and relaxed as ever.

“My technique in killing others isn’t the best, so you’ve got to endure it for a while.”

At first, Ziwan didn’t understand what Yun Qingyan meant. But she understood soon after.

The knife was slowly but surely piercing through Ziwan’s skin.

A slight but growing pain started to extend from her chest as Ziwan’s face began to pale. There were huge beads of sweat appearing on her forehead and she finally started to look terrified.

The most frightening thing wasn’t death, but the process of waiting to die.

That process was enough to destroy any last bit of determination one had left.

Ziwan felt the knife slowly cut through her own flesh and the pain spread bit by bit into her body, while her life started draining out of her bit by bit. She felt like she had been flung into an icy stream but simply couldn’t die.

She clenched her teeth hard. She couldn’t take it anymore.

“I’ll talk! I’ll talk! Just kill me at one shot!”

“Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you had reached this conclusion earlier?” Yun Qingyan said with a smile as she stopped the knife from advancing. Her tone of voice was so relaxed as if she wasn’t that demon who started this earlier.

“It’s Miss Lin! Lin Wanyue! She’s the one who instructed me to do this! She is my master!”

“Bam!”

Just at that moment, the main door of the room was burst into pieces by someone from outside.

“Yun Qingyan!” An icy cold voice could be heard from outside, and it carried anxiety that even the owner of the voice couldn’t detect.

A young man in a well fitted black robe barged into the room with a sword in hand. He seemed to carry a cold air around him, so the entire room’s temperature fell by several degrees.

“Yun…!”

The last two words were stuck in his throat as Guanghan’s deep and icy gaze fell upon the young lady with a bright smile in a white dress. His handsome and cold expression started to crack a little.

The young and skinny girl was covered in only one thin layer of white chiffon, and even though she wasn’t very well developed, there were still two tiny mounds sticking out rather proudly from the front of her chest.

“Hurry up and put some clothes on!”

Guanghan spun himself around and walked out of the room with a tense face. His steps were hurried and strangely panicky as if there was something terrifying chasing after him from behind.
