Gu Xi could not wait to crush her teeth. Why won’t he look at others before talking?

He must have known that she was talking about him behind his back.

Pei Qian looked at her interesting change of expression and reached out to pinch her unblemished cheeks. “I really want to see if there is another piece of skin under this superficial one!”

Earlier, the expression she had when she opened the door was very attractive. It was undeniably a side of Gu Xi that he had never seen before.

Women who wore thick makeup could not rival Gu Xi’s beauty. The beauty in front of him needed no make-up. Even her red lips and white teeth looked so clean… that it made one want to kiss her!

Gu Xi held a box. “Can you help me put on the necklace?”

Pei Qian smiled and walked towards her. “Of course!”

Gu Xi sat at the make-up counter while he held her long hair and put on the pearl necklace and earrings for her.

Compared to all the women he had seen, no one came close to wearing a pearl accessory as beautifully as Gu Xi. She looked fresh and elegant, unlike most young women who looked older than they actually were with the necklace on.

His gaze had fallen on her soft ear and her white neck before he inched closer to kiss her hair. He said in a hoarse voice, “If you weren’t wearing your clothes, we probably would have run late.”

Gu Xi paused for ten seconds before she understood what he meant. Her face grew hotter, and she said, “Mr. Pei, I’m very sorry to tell you that time does not allow us to do that.”

He lifted her hair up and his voice was still raspy. “It’s you who won’t allow it.”

He placed his hand on her chair as he intensely gazed at her through the mirror.

Under that gaze, Gu Xi could not lie. And as she harrumphed, she indirectly admitted that fact!

“I’ve never really met a billionaire as arrogant as you.” He actually bit her thin earlobe and said in an indignant tone, “I really… wanted to stay here.”

Gu Xi looked at him through the mirror and then redirected her line of sight to his hands that were placed on her shoulders. She did not dare to move…

He could not help but laugh at her and in an instant, his spirit was lifted up. He then reached out to grab her long hair. “Do you have any hair accessories?”

Gu Xi took out a long jade hairpin from the make-up box. Pei Qian glanced at it and knew it was a very old and expensive hairpin. And she was very willing to use it on a frequent basis!

He carefully placed the hairpin on her.

She looked unexpectedly nice, especially her side view. Even her beautiful and fair neck made one’s heart flutter.

Pei Qian had looked at her for quite a while before he held her small hand. “It’s done.”

Gu Xi started putting away her accessories box, but she unknowingly glanced at a smaller box next to it. It was a box she had kept for a long time already.

It had been a while since she last opened it… it then suddenly occurred to her that she should give it up that evening.

Pei Qian looked at the silver necklace in it…

It looked familiar to him… His head suddenly started to throb in pain as though someone was trying to remove a certain part of his memory. He wanted to catch it, but he could not.

After a while, he snapped back to his senses and saw her nostalgic look. He straightforwardly asked, “Did Qin Mo give you that?”

Gu Xi pursed his lips and only spoke after a long while. “But he doesn’t remember it anymore.”

Pei Qian curled his lips. “So, are you planning to use this to snatch Qin Mo back?”

Gu Xi looked at him in ridicule. “Mr. Pei, you have a rich imagination.”

She placed that small box into her banquet bag. “I don’t think I need this in the future anymore.”

His large hand gripped hers, and he nervously said, “Why are you in such a hurry to get rid of things of the past especially that you are no longer a part of Qin Mo’s life? Gu Xi, the more you want to get rid of such things, the more it proves that your heart still loves him.”

Gu Xi pursed her lips and pulled a soft smile after a long while. “I’m only taking care of one thing.”

“Then erase it together with your memories with Qin Mo!” With that, he kissed her harshly on the lips!

He kissed her with ferocious intent, and that somehow made her surprised and even furious…

She pushed him, but Pei Qian was not willing to let her go and hence, this kiss continued to travel down to her neck…

“No, not there…” Gu Xi screamed and strongly pushed him away.

Pei Qian’s breathing was a little rushed, the same as hers…

After a long moment, he had calmed down first. “Gu Xi, sometimes, subtle hints are more convincing than words.”

With that, he gave her no chance of escape and pulled her in his embrace. He held her chin and prevented her from looking away. He even left a hickey on her neck!

Gu Xi was furious. How could she go out now?

“This way, everyone will believe that we did a certain thing before we left for the banquet,” he seductively said as his hand touched her lips.

Gu Xi glared at him. “Pei Qian, I can choose not to go!”

“So, you’re not going!” He smirked. “Think about how Tang Xinru will criticize you in the newspapers tomorrow. Gu Xi, are you sure you want to be a coward for the rest of your life?”

His large hands gently stroked her hair. “Dye it green tomorrow!”

Gu Xi was so angry that she felt herself skyrocketing to the roof. “Pei Qian, you are the bastard here!”

“As long as you are obedient and won’t do any dirty things with Qin Mo, then I am one.” His hand that was gripping her chin traveled down and grabbed her slender neck…
