Chapter 3：Have You Ever Loved Me?

Not surprised by the results, Pei Qian's eyes and brows smoothed.

He had guessed it long ago that this little hedgehog would not let herself be easily touched by men.

Her hand had flipped her shirt before she gently smiled. "It's a Versace branded shirt! Qin Mo, look! My luck is so good that even the man who I casually found belongs to the highest grade. Unlike you who found a dog who used to be by my side."

Qin Mo's face turned green. "Gu Xi, please calm down. Tang Xinru and I aren't what you think we are!"

Gu Xi stared back coldly at him. "I have no interest in knowing your relationship with her! Qin Mo, we are over!"

She walked past him and towards the lift…

"Gu Xi, have you ever loved me?" he suddenly asked her.

Gu Xi stopped in her tracks and lifted her head up. Only after a long while, did she take a deep breath. "Isn't it too ridiculous to ask this question now?"

With that said, she hurried to the lift. When the lift doors closed, Qin Mo clearly saw the tears flowing down her face.

"Gu Xi!" He rushed towards the lift, but it had slid close. He repeatedly hit it and even wanted to use his leg to pry the lift doors open.

But he was already one step slower!

Gu Xi stood in the lift and felt a hot feeling on her face… She raised her hands to touch her face and realized she was crying.

Qin Mo asked her if she had ever loved him…

She gave a gentle laugh and looked at herself in the mirror…

She looked so pitiful!

The strong and unyielding Gu Xi in the past was just a faćade she put up. Qin Mo's betrayal and Tang Xinru's scheme made her heart riddled with a thousand gaping wounds.

She did not even care about the incident she had with Pei Qian… and even though it was fair of her to do so!

In the misty bathroom, she desperately tried to wash her body… In the mirror, she could see her shoulders, neck, and even chest littered with hickeys…

It was stamped on her body one by one!

She shook her head and tried to push that man out of her head. Then, she walked out of the bathroom and casually put on some clothes before she saw a person she least expected to show up…

With Gu Dahai's company, Old Master Gu sat in the living room.

Gu Xi froze and immediately looked down before softly calling out to her grandpa.

With a stern look, Old Master Gu looked at his only granddaughter. His gaze was as sharp as though he could see through her.

Gu Xi unknowingly tugged at her clothes.

The Old Master's gaze landed on her neck before he looked away and took a sip of tea. Then he asked, "Why didn't you return to the Old Residences after such a big incident?!"

Gu Xi pursed her lips and said in a gentle yet firm tone, "Because I know grandpa would definitely persuade me to forgive Qin No."

"How thoughtful!" Old Master Gu harshly placed the teacup on the coffee table, which made the contents spill.

But Gu Xi was not unnerved.

Seeing as to how this child was firm in her decision, Old Master Gu softened his look and his tone turned into a calm one. "Even if that's the case, our Gu Family cannot afford to lose such a face! Hence, if you really cannot let go of Qin Mo's affair, then let it be! Qin Song already told me he wished for you to be his daughter-in-law too!"

Gu Xi's silence let Old Master Gu understand her stance.

He changed the topic, and his voice had a hint of interrogation. "Where did you go last night?"

Gu Xi lifted her eyes up and it seemed a little frantic.

Since she was young, she had a strict upbringing. Thus, even if she had dated Qin Mo for half a year before they got engaged, she had never gone one step beyond the prescribed limit!

Even their kisses were brief touches!

"Gu Xi, why is your face so red?" Old Master Gu finally calmed down. "Are you sick?"

Old Master Gu stared at her for a long period before he stood up. "Okay, go and rest. Don't go to the company for the next few days."

Gu Xi immediately said, "There is no need for that, grandpa. I'm fine."

"I'm just scared that the rascal from Qin Family would pester you!" Old Master Gu sighed. "But you can't avoid him forever either. Settle it yourself."

Gu Xi nodded her head and personally sent Old Master Gu out.

Once they were outside, Gu Dahai asked Old Master Gu, "Why didn't you ask about Young Master Pei?"

Old Master Gu continued to walk and coldly smiled. "Do you think she's willing to say it out?"

Only when Old Master Gu sat in the car did Gu Dahai turn hesitant. "Then, are we really just going to forgo the Qin Family? Young Master Qin is still a good catch, and he even loves young missy."
