Chapter 55 - Catacombs Forest(3)

Regan and three of his friends were out on a mission to hunt a minotaur that was sighted by a group of elven hunters that immediately reported it to the guild as they were unable to deal with it.

Regan and his friend chose the mission since they were all B-rank supers.

While moving towards the location on the map, given to them by the guild, they arrived at a large cave that was shown on the map, the same location where the hunters spotted the minotaur.

"Hey, Regan, isn't it weird? With all these skulls around, I'm starting to get scared. Are you sure we can deal with the minotaur?" A boy named Salee cowered at the sight of the valley of skulls.

"Humph, according to the reports, the Minatour is a B-rank beast, and four of us are also B-rank supers.

There's no way it could overpower us" Regan snorted

While the other two boys mocked Salee.

When they entered the cave, the piles of skulls were more enormous than the ones they saw earlier, making the boys freak out.

Unexpectedly, two arrows pierced the necks of the two boys behind Regan, their necks spurted blood and they died on the spot.

"Shit! We are under attack! Let's run Salee!" Regan shouted as strange arrows rained down on them.

However, before the boys could flee, they felt a sharp pain on their heads and they passed out.

"They are all B-rank" Kelan muttered and he summoned the cursed weapon from his space ring.

Kelan slowly approached the cave, trying his best not to make a rustling sound that could alert the demons.

When he arrived at the entrance of the cave, he could see a clear picture of what was going on.

The wendigos were tall humanoids and ugly creatures with massive horns on their head.

They were roasting and eating their prey on the large bonfire while dancing around the prey and speaking a gibberish language he couldn't decipher.

According to the information his watch gave him, the wendigos were outcasts among the demons and were heavily disdained just as humans disdained house mice. The wendigos were used as pawns and meatshields during the war between demons and humans.

What gave Kelan the creeps, was the victim that was still alive on the bonfire while the wendigos roasted and ate him alive.

"According to the information displayed here, the wendigos are not smart and can't even think of other things than filling their tummies but the ones here are roasting their victims before eating, something is wrong here, wendigos are not that smart. Besides, what the hell are they doing here?" 

Kelan cried inwardly as he searched about all the information he could get about them on his watch, he could only swallow hard.

"Infinite buff" Kelan muttered 

[Infinite buff activated]

<< -150 Energy >>

Kelan could feel a new surge of power rushing through him as he activated his infinite buff.

"I only have 30 seconds" Kelan mumbled as he unsheathed his sword and dashed towards the cave.

Kelan could see around 30 wendigos as he charged towards the cave at an amazing speed.

The wendigos let out a shrieking sound as they saw an intruder charging towards them at an amazing speed and they also dashed towards Kelan.

Swoosh! Thud! Thud!

Two wendigos' heads were sent rolling as Kelan swung the black blade in his hands.

"Fujé vū gàgàgá" the wendigos shouted in horror as two of their subordinates' heads were sent rolling.

Kelan swung his sword clumsily as he tried to imitate Mystro swordsmanship whenever he took control of his body.

Five wendigos leaped towards him and swiped their sharp and overgrown claws at his head, aiming to chop it off.

With his doubled stats, he was able to evade the claws and launched two powerful kicks in quick succession, sending three wendigos flying.

Ding!

[You've created a new martial art]

Kelan ignored the system notification as he Sliced the remaining two wendigos in his front like tofu.

Ding!

[Your time is up, Infinite buff has been deactivated]

"Fuck! These things are plentily strong" Kelan cursed as he could see about 20 wendigos remaining and they were all charging at him.

Abruptly, he heard a voice in his head.

[Master do you remember that you now have the dragon bloodline, although you can't utilize its full power yet. However, you can still tap into its power without the help of the system] Gina said, as she didn't like the way her master was relying on the system.

"How should I do that you cunt! We are in trouble" Kelan condemned.

"Hey, Kelan untie me, hurry" Regan shouted in the corner of the cave where he was tied up like a lamb.

Kelan used flash steps to evade the ferocious swipes of the wendigos claws and dashed towards Regan, he could also see a boy beside Regan that was struggling to talk.

Kelan slashed off the ropes tied around the boy and Regan, instantly setting them free.

Regan and Salee promptly stood up even though they were weak and also fought the demon with their fists.

Regan coated his body with his fire while Salee used his bare fist, making Kelan wonder why he didn't use his ability.

Suddenly, Kelan realized that he hadn't used the active skill on the sword, he channeled his energy from his core and allowed it to flow through the black blade.

Suddenly, the hilt of the sword began to glow and Kelan could feel unknown energy entering his body which he didn't resist. 

Shortly, Kelan could feel everything around him turn slow and he realized that he could predict the movements of the wendigos. 

"T-this is the active skill of the sword, I can see 3 seconds into the future" Kelan mumbled as he tightened his grip on the sword and dashed towards the wendigos,  the Sword had buffed his Agility and Stamina, making him chop off the heads of the wendigos like tofu.

Regan and Salee were staring at him in awe as he effortlessly killed the Wendigos like a walk in the park.

"When has he gotten so strong?" Regan mumbled.

After killing the last of the wendigos, Kelan stood in place and he could feel an unknown sensation in his body, using his eyes of abhorrence, he could see black energy from the blade swirling around him and a man screams emitting from the blade.

He turned his head towards Regan and Salee,  then he felt the urge to kill them, the urge to turn them into mincemeat.

"K-kelan your eyes, they are black" Regan pointed at Kelan's eyes that had turned black and lifeless.

Kelan gripped his sword tightly as he resisted the urge to kill his friend.

"Ahhhh! Run!!" Kelan screamed and clutched his head in pain.

Regan and Salee who sense the aura of death Kelan was emitting immediately ran for their lives.

Nonetheless, Kelan's bloodlust was increasing and he ran after them.

However, immediately he exited the cave, a large, white muscular wolf-like creature, 4 meters tall with horns on its head crashed into him, sending him flying and hitting his head on the cave.

"A Minatour!" Kelan mumbled as he passed out while the black aura kept swirling around his body.
