"What! It's a fucking F-grade sword!" Kelan blurted out and stared at the dwarf with killing intent.
"Calm down boy, this is the first sword that I make in my life which is complicated. It might be weak for now but the more you use it, the more it evolves. If you remember correctly, the other day, I told you that I have never seen that type of Crystal. After thorough observation and inspection, I realized that the beast from which you acquired the crystal was an abomination. Another blacksmith wouldn't have been able to work on it, but I, Ozedikus, can work on any type of crystal and you should be thanking me for creating this masterpiece." The dwarf shrugged and puffed his chest with pride.
Kelan felt like crying as he stared at the sword in his hands, the only cool thing about the sword was that it could shapeshift it into a baton to catch his enemy off-guard. Kelan sighed and stored the sword inside his space ring; he felt that it would be a hassle to use it during a serious fight or when facing a stronger opponent.
"And why does the system sound evil by telling me; as long as I continue to shed blood," Kelan thought and decided to take his leave.
"Hey wait! Are you just going to leave like that? What about the wine you promised me?" The dwarf asked as he squinted his eyebrows.
Kelan sighed and tossed one gold coin to the dwarven man.
When the dwarf saw the coin, his eyes lit up as he leaped in the air to catch the coin.
"Wait!!!!!!!!!" The dwarf shouted again.
"What is it that you want this time around?" Kelan replied with a scowl.
"I want a spar," the dwarf grinned at Kelan and took a stance.
Kelan found the dwarf stance funny, then he chuckled and also took his stance as he knew that he could beat the dwarf with a flick of his finger and he could also get back at him for creating a weird weapon for him.
"Charge towards me," said the dwarf.
"Pfft, it will be considered bullying if I charge towards you. Though, I won't be humble since you requested it by yourself" Kelan replied and dashed towards the dwarf, aiming to kick him like a ball.
However, as Kelan was about to hit the dwarf, a strange aura began to envelop the dwarf's small fist.
Kelan sensed danger from the aura and he instantly activated his eyes of abhorrence, making him see a white energy wrapping around the arms of the dwarf, like tendrils.
Kelan felt intimidated by the aura and he became serious and tightened his fist, ready to punch the dwarf with all his strength.
All this happened within a few seconds, which showed how fast they were.
Kelan swung his fist at the dwarf in a pattern that he has seen Mystro use before. The dwarf also noticed Kelan's trick to confuse him with his right fist while the left fist landed on his face.
Kelan was so confident in this trick as it had never failed him, however, he had forgotten that he was going against someone who had lived hundreds of years and his capabilities were unknown.
The dwarf smirked and controlled the aura within his legs and did strange footwork as he evaded Kelan's punches in a drunkard pattern.
"Stop running and fight me like a true man!" Kelan gritted his teeth as he was unable to catch up with the dwarf's speed despite using flash steps.
"Okay, time to end this" the dwarf replied and increased the intensity of the strange energy he was using and used his footwork to appear behind Kelan.
Before Kelan could turn around, the dwarf leaped in the air, cupping both of his fists like a hammer as he descended with the strange aura swirling around his fists.
Bang!
The dwarf slammed his fist on Kelan's back, causing Kelan to crash into the pile of junk that was in the corner of the workshop.
As the blow hit Kelan, he felt like he was hit by a truck, he had never felt such strength before. Not, even when he fought against the elven boy, making him wonder how such a tiny man could have such strength. To top it off, he was in a drunken state.
"Hahaha, you put up a good fight, boy. This old body has stretched a little bit, I enjoyed it" Ozedikus grinned as he pulled Kelan up from where he was sent crashing.
"B-but, how is that possible? Don't tell me that you are a Z-rank super!" Kelan asked with a curious face as Ozedikus assisted him up.
"No boy, you are wrong, I'm not a super nor do I have any aptitude. What I used is my brute strength coupled with a special energy that most people never knew about. I'm quite disappointed that the family member of the Azure clan is weak. That footwork I used is one of the Azure clan techniques I learned from them." Ozedikus shook his head as he dusted Kelan's body.
"I'm sorry, I guess I need to learn. Besides, I and the Princess of the Azure Dragon Clan are not on good terms. I mistakenly made her my wife by absorbing her Dragon essence, now she's mad at me. I don't even know where to find her, sigh..." Kelan sighed in disappointment as he was defeated effortlessly by a man without an ability.
"Mmm, that's complicated. I've seen the Princess last when she was a baby, I guess time has passed. Little Zuzzy is now a mature woman.
I can assist you in finding the Azure Dragon Clan base but I can't assure you of getting past the guards because it has been a long time since I left there. And don't even think of sneaking in because the rank of those guards is above Z-rank. In case you don't know, there are secret ranks above Z-ranks. The top officials in the human realm kept it hidden to themselves because they can't afford to let humans know about it, after all, they want innocent people to be used as meat shields during the war. Humans are so evil to themselves. Sigh...." Ozedikus sighed and patted Kelan's legs as his hands were unable to reach Kelan's shoulders.
"Okay, thanks for the Information. But, can I ask you a question?" Kelan asserted as he activated his eyes of abhorrence to see if Ozedikus would lie.
"Go ahead, ask me any questions," Ozedikus shrugged.
"What was that energy you used when we spar? There is no way your brute strength could overwhelm me" Kelan proclaimed with interest shown in his eyes.
"Well, it's simple, if you want to know about the energy, how about you become my student? Of course, you would also have to buy tons of wines" Ozedikus replied and he could see Kelan hesitating to talk like he didn't expect his reply to turn out this way.
