The sunlight poured into the dark room. Although curtains were drawn, sunlight still broke through the curtains and lightened the room. The room was very traditional and old looking. Something that you would find in a historical 18th Century.
Qin stood near the bedside and stared at Tian. At her closed eyes, red lips, dark long eyelashes. The similarity between Tian from 200 years ago was as clear as mirrors reflection to Qin. Everything about Tian told Qin that it was her. He can't be mistaken.
Tian made a little movement of her hand moving. Her eyes started to open slowly while she was grunting in pain. Qin just stood near the bedside and out of view of Tian. His eyes staring and never leaving her for a moment.
"Oh god. What time is it?" Tian moves her hand to touch the bedside drawer.
"Where is the clock? Did I knock it down again?" She slowly gets up and opens her eyes slightly to look at the drawer. The drawer was in dark brown and not white like her usual one. Strange. She looks around her surroundings. Big celling. Traditional paintings on walls. A massive door that looked like a palace door.
"Hmm. My dreams are starting to get strange day by day." Tian lays back down on the bed.
Qin smiles at every little action that Tian does. She scratches her head and hugs the blanket of the bed.
"I better wake up soon."
"Tian" Qin calls out her name in a low pitch voice like he didn't want to scare her.
"Hmmm"
"Wake up"
"I will wake up Dad." Qin's eyebrows come closer to each other. Confusion. Anger. Everything was present. Why was Tian thinking about her Dad?
"You won't believe the dream I had Dad. It felt super real. Dad? Can you tell Mum to warm some milk for me? My body hurts lots for some reason." Tian keeps talking like it was a normal thing. The same routine she will do every morning.
Qin moves from the bedside and sits down on the bed. His hands touch Tina's face and remove the hair that was covering her face.
Tian opens her eyes and finds a strange face smiling at her. No. Not a stranger but instead the same guy. Purple eyes. Sharp feature. A sudden realization hits Tian as she screams and tries to move away from him. This was not a dream!
Tian moves back however her head instantly touches the back of the bed. There wasn't much of a space between her and Qin. Her eyes look around in panic. She pulls the blanket closer to her. There was fear in her eyes.
Qin moves closer to Tian and tries to touch her face however she pushes him away. She tries to get out of the bed, but Qin moves faster and puts both his arms around her. He looks at her and smiles.
"Who are you?" Tian voice shivers in fear. The fear and the pain she suffered from all rushes to her. This is not real.
"Who am I?" Qin looks at her but only finds fear in her. Tian stays silent and doesn't speak.
"Tian? Do you not remember me? It's me. You husband! Qin." Qin replies urgently like he was praying for her to remember everything.
Tian looks shocked for a second. Lots of questions popped in her head, however, words were not able to form on the tongue.
"Bullshit!"
Qin looks at Tian surprised. He was surprised over her use of foul language. The Tian he remembered was elegant and never used this foul type of words.
"What kind of bullshit are you talking about?" Tian voice sounds angrier this time. She pushes Qin away and gets off from the bed.
"What kind of crappy hidden camera is this?"
Although Tian says these words, inside she knew that it couldn't be a hidden camera. The pain she felt was real. The tears she cried. Everything was real. Tian looks down at her bare legs to find the marks that she saw but there was nothing. Her skin was clear clean and there was no sign of any injury. Does that mean its hidden camera?
Qin gets up from the bed and walks towards Tian. She stood there stunned, looking at her legs and hands. Qin holds Tian arm and pulls her towards himself. He hugs her tightly and pats her head. Tian tries to push Qin away but no matter how much she tries, he doesn't let go of her.
"What have you done to me?" Tears roll down her eyes. Tian was never weak but why did she feel helpless and weak in this situation.
"It's okay. Everything will be okay. You will remember everything." Qin tries to assure her. He moves Tian, so she would sit down on the bed, but Tian pushes Qin away again and he falls on the bed. Before his back can touch the bed, he quickly gets up until he is sat on the bed.
Remember what? Tian knows who she is but why is this stranger telling her something else.
"What kind of crappy thing are you monster talking about? You are a vampire. Aren't you?" Tian couldn't believe that the legends could be true. Qin opens his mouth to speak and Tian sees the fangs. The same ones she had seen in movies. The same one she had read about in Dracula books. They looked a bit different, but they were fangs.
"Look you even have fangs." Qin smiles at Tian. He was surprised at how quickly Tian was thinking about everything. She wasn't crying anymore instead she looked like she was ready to fight at any second.
"Could you be Dracula?" Tian thinks about the GCSE book she had to read for her exams. As soon as Qin hears Tian's words. He gets up in anger.
"Don't talk about that betrayer!" Qin speaks loudly towards Tian. She moves a step back in surprise.
"Is that what you call that betrayer? Dracula?" Qin talked amusingly as he thought about the past.
"What do you mean? You are a vampire, right?"
"Listen to me Tian, don't put me down on those lowly life legends that humans made."
Does that mean that he wasn't a vampire? Tian looked at him for answers.
"Don't worry. You are one of us now. I will tell you everything." Qin moves away from Tian and towards the door. She looks at his lonely back as he walked away from her and exited the room. The door closed behind him with a loud noise.
'One of us?' In Tian's head, the words kept repeating itself. What did he mean? Tian could feel her heartbeat slow down, she didn't even know how fast her heart was beating the whole time. Is it reality or dream? One thing for sure she knew was that she needed to get out of here. Fast.
Tian walks towards the mirror. She needed to be sure that the bite marks that she had seen where still there. This could prove that it was not a dream. She looks in the mirror. The same purple mixed red eyes stared at her through the mirror!
