15 Baptism Star

They arrived at their destination and walked together.

"Follow me! I won't let someone bully you!" Lisa said with a proud expression.

Yuuki shook his head while looking around. He could see a lot of kids around 12 years walking toward the Ceremony Hall. He could see they had different expression in their face from excited, fear, happy, longing, etc. He ignored them and focused on himself.

There were a thousand children inside this hall and he was wondering how they could do the baptism.

Yuuki knew not everyone could get their Gift some of them didn't even have a gift. They were called 'Giftless' someone who didn't receive Gift and lived like normal people. It was actually quite rare for someone to have a Gift. He was sure from these thousands of children there would be only hundreds of people who received their Gift.

Yuuki himself also wasn't really sure whether he would get his Gift but he had heard from his mom, he would definitely a success on his baptism. He didn't know her basis but he wanted to believe in her since he wanted to take off his glasses.

Yuuki walked in the hall and noticed there were a group of people in white uniform. They were standing on the top of the high podium and watched all the kid amused expression but some of them looked quite tired. He was wondering if they were some worker or staff in this baptism hall.

There are four academies that specially trained The Conqueror. Those academies are Red Shield Academy, Blue Fire Academy, Black Boa, and Silver Trinity Academy.

He needed to enter one of those academies in order to become The Conqueror.

"Hey, don't be nervous, I'm your boss, I'm here with you," Lisa said while pulling his shirt.

Yuuki smiled and nodded, "Uhn." He didn't expect this precarious little girl to be quite kind.

Lisa looked quite proud while walking toward the front of the hall. She wanted to be the first one who received the baptism.

Yuuki knew her family somewhat had a great influence on the countryside. He could use her connection to help his life in this world. After all, she made him her subordinates, it would be a loss if he didn't receive some benefit.

They became the center of attention in this hall since Lisa was actually quite cute. Many boys were looking at her but no one came to greet her. Probably, because they wanted to focus on their baptism. It wouldn't be too late to greet her after the baptism after all.

Yuuki also became the center of attention. They thought he must be her butler, bodyguard or manager. After all, his body looked very strong even though his face was average.

"Hehehe, they think, you're my bodyguard," Lisa giggled when she heard it.

Yuuki sighed and got used to her actions. He had a similar experience to taking care of little children like this. He ignored her and looked around. He could see many rich looking kids being crowded by a lot of people. He knew they were probably someone from a great family.

Yuuki sat next to Lisa since he didn't know anyone. He wanted to greet his neighbor but he looked very nervous and couldn't hear him. He shook his head and decided to talk with Lisa.

It was kind of useless conversation like favorites food, beverages, hobbies, home, parents, etc. Lisa was quite happy that he wanted to know all about her but it for Yuuki it was also his chance to update his knowledge about this world.

Last year, his mother had crammed him with some knowledge about The Conqueror, Academy, Border, Cultivation, Weapon, etc. He knew all of them but he didn't know about the culture. But he was quite adaptable and that was why he didn't show any surprising expression when he heard her story.

They were not the only ones who had a conversation some children also had a similar conversation with each other and made the hall quite noisy.

"So? What kind of gift do you want?" Lisa asked.

Yuuki didn't answer her and looked at the podium.

"Hey! Why don't you asnwe-," Before she finished her words a thundering sound startled everyone.

"SHUT UP!!!!"

At that moment no one said anything and looked at the source of the sound. They saw a stout thin man with a long white beard and bald head. His appearance was very fierce especially a large scar crossing one of his eyes.

Yuuki didn't know why but he felt that he was being watched by a beast.

"Andreas-old man, don't scare the children," This time woman who looked like she was in the middle of her 20's reprimanded the old man. She had curly black hair and wore gothic loli style clothes. Her aura was very dark and gloomy.

"Hahaha, I can't wait for the baptism ceremony," A gentleman like a man with a brown suit walked toward both of them. His expression looked like a very gentle middle-old man with pomade style hairstyle.

Then a woman with striking long red hair walked with an annoyed expression. She wore a black business suit and covered in a white lab coat.

The four people sat in the highest seat in the podium. They didn't look at the children but looking at the woman in the lab coat.

"Big sister," Lisa was excited when she saw that woman.

"Big sister?" Yuuki looked strangely at her.

Lisa nodded, "Yeah, my sister is dean at Silver Trinity Academy."

Yuuki nodded. He felt that becoming her subordinate wasn't that bad since he had an umbrella to cover him in this academy.

"Ok, let's start the baptism," a woman with a lab coat suddenly stomped on the ground and thousands of small yellow lights flying toward every single child in the hall.

No one was ready and when the small yellow light entered their body. They blacked out at the same time.
