Chapter 642 Close Like The Early Days (Part One)

Name:My Mr. Soldier Author:Xing Chen
Violet searched each ward of the inpatient department, looking for Roger's ward. She knew she'd found it when she saw Carol standing in front of a door, looking at her. Violet walked over to Carol.

In a low voice, Violet said,"Mrs. Carol."

"I think we need to talk about my son!" Carol said reproachfully while glaring at Violet with loathing. Carol was determined to drive this woman from her son at all costs.

"Okay, Mrs. Carol, what's on your mind?" replied Violet calmly.

"How much it will take for you to leave my son alone?" Carol asked, not mincing words. This woman standing in front of Carol had horrible taste in clothes, which seemed to scream she was from a low-income family. Since she'd been toying with Carol's son, what else could she want, except money?

Taken aback by the outrageous question, Violet gave Carol an incredulous look and asked,"What do you mean by that, Mrs. Carol?"

"Stop pretending! The only reason you got close to my son is for money, right? So, how much do you want? I'll give it to you, as long as you promise, you will never see my son again," Carol responded.

After listening to Carol, Violet felt a mix of emotions. She wasn't surprised anymore, instead, Violet was relieved, but, somewhat angry at Carol's audacity. She had suffered all sorts of trouble to have an ordinary life, and Violet wasn't about to allow anyone to injure her dignity. As for money? How could Carol think GR Group was JC Group's parallel? The JC Group was worth far more than the GR Group! It was rather annoying that Carol would think Violet was after money, and insulting of her to offer any!

Drawing herself up straighter, Violet defended herself saying,"Mrs. Carol, I think you're mistaken! I don't want even a penny from your family."

Carol looked surprised at Violet's words. But, she could

When her sister ran away from the wedding, Autumn was forced to marry Charles.

His name had been linked to innumerable ladies.

He had different girlfriends for every day of a year.

Autumn had never thought that she would fall in love with him.

"OK, I'll ask Greg to pick you up at the airport then."

"Alright, see you."

After she hung up the phone, Sharon Qin saw Greg standing in the living room. She stood up immediately and walked to him with a smile.

"Greg, you are home! How was your day? Are you tired?" asked Sharon Qin smiling, as she pulled on Greg's arm.

"Not bad," replied Greg, tugging his arm out of Sharon Qin's grip. He didn't think their relationship was as close as Sharon Qin seemed to believe.

Suddenly embarrassed by Greg's movement, Sharon Qin wasn't sure what to do with her hands hanging in air like that.

"Well, why don't you go upstairs and rest? I'll prepare dinner now, and when your father gets home, we'll all have dinner together," said Sharon Qin, smiling placatingly. She didn't blame Greg for his attitude toward her, after all, he had changed a lot since she married Fred and lived in this family. Greg was angry with her at first, but at least now he was willing to talk. The significant change in Greg's attitude moved her a lot, but there was still a long way to go. She had to work hard for Greg to receive her as his stepmother so that he would take care of her when she was too old to take care of herself.
